The HR and Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the London Irish Centre’s (LIC) internal operations, with strategic oversight of all HR functions, organisational policies, facilities management, and volunteer coordination.

Key areas of responsibility
- Lead the day-to-day HR function providing support to staff across all areas of HR.
- Ensure HR policies are reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and best practice. Develop new policies that are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and embedded within the team.
- Update, maintain and develop employee handbook, HR templates, processes, and systems to support the delivery of an effective HR function.
- Manage HR systems ensuring all records are maintained accurately and comply with GDPR.
- Oversee all recruitment processes.
- Oversee the entire employee lifecycle - from induction to exit - while implementing talent retention strategies, performance management systems, and succession planning.
- Oversee organisational volunteer management, ensuring compliance with policies and alignment with strategic objectives
- Coach and advise line managers on people issues withing their teams from probation to sickness absence to performance.
- Manage grievances and disciplinary actions in accordance with policy.
- Lead on delivery of annual training plan and annual appraisal process.
- Oversee day-to-day office management to ensure a warm, inclusive, and safe working environment.
- Ensure health and safety, compliance, and quality standards are consistently upheld across all HR and operational practices, fostering a safe, legally sound, and high-performing work environment.
- Manage outsourced IT contracts and service level agreements, overseeing IT and communications providers - including VOIP systems - while coordinating support and resolving issues as needed.
- Oversee office supplies, contracts, and supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations.
- Responsible for governance and compliance matters, providing comprehensive board support, and managing company secretarial duties, including filings and updates with Companies House and the Charities Commission.
- Oversee and manage operational expenditures to ensure alignment with the allocated budget, while identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies.

South East London Mind is working with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and Bridge Support to deliver the Greenwich Mental Health Hub. This will form part of the new transformation of mental health services in the Royal Borough of Greenwich under the NHS Long Term Plan. The service will bring together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic, and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.
Unpaid carers in our communities are supporting relatives, friends and neighbours, often with limited or no support, to live the best lives they can. The support of people with dementia, learning or physical disabilities, mental health difficulties or substance misuse problems by unpaid carers has been estimated to save the government close to the equivalent expenditure for the whole NHS.
We are looking for a Mental Health Carers Advisor who possesses an understanding of the challenges of unpaid caring and whose experience of working within mental health services includes support, prevention, recovery, and self-management. Applicants should possess effective skills in communication and have experience of completing assessments, managing a diverse caseload and working in a busy work environment. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and to show initiative is essential for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC DUTIES
Office Administration
- Be the first point of contact for all callers, including email, phone and in-person
- Administer incoming and outgoing mail and email boxes, giving appropriate advice or referring onwards on within one working day
- Support the management of IT equipment
- Arrange travel and accommodation for managers, staff and trustees
- Assist with the organisation of events, conferences and training on behalf of LtL
- Organise refreshments and catering at events and meetings
- Maintain LtL’s records/files/images both electronic and paper based, ensuring all data is stored accurately and securely in accordance with LtL policy and GDPR law
- Order stationery and day-to-day equipment and refreshments for the LtL office
- Implement LtL’s Health and Safety Policy within the office
- Maintain liaison with landlords to ensure a well-maintained office space and oversee the maintenance and replacement of office furniture and equipment.
HR Support
- Support recruitment and onboarding admin as needed
- Order staff uniforms, badges and equipment as required.
Project Management Support/Administration
- Respond to project enquiries and requests to ensure they are appropriately actioned within one working day
- Develop good relationships with schools over the duration of the projects Assist with printing and collation of information including replenishment of marketing/training materials, resources and stationery for the project team.
General responsibilities
- Contribute to LtL through staff and working group meetings and by taking on specific areas of responsibility as required
- Other appropriate duties as required.
What you’ll need:
Essential criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years experience of working as part of a team in a busy office environment
- Educated to a good standard of education with C Standard Grades or equivalent
- Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Excellent communicator with a confident telephone manner.

- SAGE (or similar, such as Xero, Intuit etc.) experience
- Experience with using MS Teams.

Role Overview:
The Head of Governance, Risk & Company Secretary is a pivotal leadership role within St John Ambulance Cymru (SJAC), responsible for ensuring the charity’s governance, legal compliance, risk management, and quality assurance functions are robust, effective, and strategically aligned with our goals.
This dual-role combines governance oversight with the leadership of organisational quality systems, ensuring that SJAC remains a trusted, safe, and high-performing organisation. The postholder will serve as Company Secretary to the Board and also lead operational governance initiatives across the charity.
What you’ll need to be successful
To thrive as our Head of Governance, Risk & Company Secretary, you’ll need leadership experience, particularly in governance, compliance, or quality assurance—ideally within a charity or healthcare setting. You’ll bring a strong understanding of governance codes and/or systems, risk management frameworks, and UK charity law along with the ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion. A Chartered Governance Institute (ICSA) qualification or equivalent is desirable, as is experience acting as a Company Secretary. You’ll be confident leading cross-functional teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the organisation. Key duties and responsibilities:
Governance and Secretariat
- Lead the governance function, ensuring excellent support and strategic guidance to the Board, Committees, CEO and SLT.

Trauma Treatment International (TTI) is a registered charity in the UK. We focus on providing evidence-based psychological treatment and support to victims of collective violence around the world. As well as providing treatment for victims directly, we work with organisations and communities to manage, mitigate and prevent the impact of trauma.
This is an exciting time for the charity, as we move into our next phase of development. We are now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead us in the implementation of our Strategy 2025-2030 and our vision for change.
The CEO role is a highly rewarding one, offering the opportunity to join and lead our small, yet experienced and impactful team. The post offers the platform to work creatively and flexibly internationally, network with fantastic organisations and help to influence, shape and sustain TTI’s strategy and activities in this pivotal time in the organisation’s development.
This is a remote working role, with attendance at events or locations as required throughout the year. We offer a permanent employment contract and are looking for a minimum time commitment of 3 days per week – we are open to consider other flexible arrangements or up to 80% hours (within budget); Salary is based on full-time equivalent of £75,000pa. Key Areas of Responsibility include:
Leadership:
- Embedding and implementing through the team our 2025-2023 Strategy;
- Providing charity expertise and governance oversight;
- Providing leadership to the remote team following trauma-informed principles;
- Building organisational sustainability through existing donor relationship management and appropriate diversification in fundraising/income generation/donor relationships;
- Building strategic partnerships and alliances.
Strategy
- Provide leadership and direction, reporting to the Board of Directors, on all aspects of the ongoing refinement and implementation of TTIs Strategy, Theory of Change and annual delivery plans;
- Lead a robust culture of evaluation of our impact.
Organisational and finance
- Oversee TTI’s operational and fiscal function and performance, ensuring best practice in all we do.
Stakeholder management
- Publicly represent the organisation, enhancing visibility, developing brand awareness, and demonstrating the impact and value delivered by TTI.
- Engage continuously with donors and funders to build strong relationships and seek new and diverse funding and investment partnerships.
Key experience and attributes you will need to bring:
- Minimum six years’ experience at senior leadership/management level, ideally gained in non-profit organisation or other humanitarian setting.
- Some prior experience of interacting with a Board of Directors.
- Experience of financial compliance including demonstrable experience of actively setting and managing budgets, preparing cashflow projections and working with financial reports – this experience is likely to have been gained over at least 3 years’ active, first-hand participation.
- Prior experience of working in a growth environment, ideally having gained involvement in income generation/fundraising.
- Experience working with external funders, partners, and collaborators
- Demonstrate clear understanding of Charity Code and governance obligations including Charity Commission requirements and charity law.
- Possess and demonstrate strong leadership experience and ability to lead with a coaching / mentoring/ trauma-informed style in order to maintain organisational culture, valuing the people of the organisation.

About the role
This role provides tactical and targeted support to our District teams as we seek to enable our volunteers to deliver training to both cadets and volunteers in line with the Sea Cadets Learning Strategy. This post is responsible for supporting the delivery of the district training, including Royal Marine Cadet (RMC) training activity at Troop level. The work location can be flexible (home or office-based) requiring regular evening and weekend working supporting our volunteers by attending virtual meetings and delivering online training.
Responsibilities
- To provide functional support to our area Training Managers and District and RMC Troop Teams, ensure the district training plans are delivered, amended as necessary throughout the year, to the training plan and in line with identified training needed to best support the delivery of the Sea Cadet Experience.
- To support specific District Teams including the District Training Officer (DTO), District Recreational Officer/ Deputy District Officer (DRO/DDO), District Staff Officers (DSO), and RMC Troop Commanders (Trp Cdr) identified as requiring support under our change management process.
- To work closely with all District Officers to increase the number of certificated, current and competent instructors, and develop the capability and capacity of District Instructors to deliver training to cadets and volunteers across all Districts.
- To support the ATOs/DTOs/RMC Troops in all training matters (including uniformed and unit management teams) with a specific focus on Districts/Troops that need support.
- Support our Programmes and Virtual Training Manager with the co-ordination the of delivery of appropriate MSSC and other approved training packages (including BTEC, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) appropriate to the age and experience of cadets across the organisation.
- Work under the leadership of our Assistant Director Sea Cadet Learning monitor performance against set targets set by the National Support Centre to ensure equitable access for cadets and adults to the Sea Cadet Experience.
