The Opportunity

This role will support the delivery of our Impact and Evaluation strategy. Responsibilities:
Data Collection: Assist with the collection and storage of research and survey data, including demographic data and outcomes indicators, employing quantitative and qualitative methods. Gather and engage with external open and government datasets.

Research Administration: Schedule and undertake interviews/focus groups, supported by the I&E Manager. Manage administrative activities such as contact with participants, transcription and coding.

We’re looking for someone who has a good working knowledge of database systems and who understands their importance to organisations like Al-Khair Foundation. We seek someone who is naturally process-driven and has a great eye for detail. You will be responsible for specific monthly processes, such as organisation income reconciliation and ongoing data uploads and cleansing for the Fundraising teams. Your Role
Al-Khair Foundation uses Salesforce to manage relationships with our donors, supporters, and stakeholders, including recording all donations made to the organisation. Al-Khair Foundation’s Database Officer will be responsible for the monthly delivery of the income and data reconciliation processes for the Fundraising teams, which includes liaising with a wide range of external agencies and the website to successfully download and query files, update and create new supporter records on the database, process cheques and payment requests, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure all anticipated and banked income tallies correctly.
You will also work closely with colleagues in the Database team to support and maintain regular database processes, data cleansing, and other database-related functions that happen on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include responding to and being responsible for Support Ticket queries in relation to income, data, and/or the database generally and working with external database agencies such as our web platform partners and Salesforce.
Aside from these core duties, from time to time, you may also carry out general administrative tasks on behalf of the Supporter Engagement team. This may include supporting the Supporter Care Assistant during busy periods with customer care via email and telephone and recording updates, processing invoices, and maintaining and updating team rotas and trackers.
Your Responsibilities
- Delivering the monthly data reconciliation and income reconciliation processes, which include downloading and uploading data files.
- Supporting the Fundraising teams with their monthly income recording and reconciliation.
- Liaising with external agencies and the Finance team.
- Checking for and correcting inaccuracies and updating supporter records.
- Running reports for the Fundraising and Finance teams.
- Maintaining and carrying out regular database processes, including data cleansing.
- Supporting the Database Coordinator and the Senior Data Manager to encourage best-practice use of the database across the organisation, including assisting with onboarding and new user training and being on hand for day-to-day technical support when the Database Coordinator is unavailable.
- Working with external partners (i.e., telemarketing agencies) to ensure the successful and smooth transition of data onto the database.
- Spotting and reporting database glitches and problems.
- Supporting with the ticketing system as a second point of contact in the Database team.

Who You Are
To be successful, you will be:
- Someone who has experience using a Salesforce database to carry out day-to-day tasks and who understands their importance for organisations such as Al-Khair Foundation. Charity/NGO experience would be an advantage.
- Someone with excellent attention to detail and good numeracy skills.
- A great communicator who can manage a variety of stakeholder requirements and resolve requests in a timely and accurate manner.

About IKWRO
IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.
We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.

Purpose of Job

Age UK is recruiting for a Data Privacy Manager to join our Information Protection and Compliance team to continue our great work to develop and manage the Age UK data protection privacy programme and to work on programmes of activity as defined by the ICO.
As Data Privacy Manager, you will review, update, and monitor the policies and procedures that are in place to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Regulation 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Regulation (PECR, 2003) laws, including managing internal data protection activities, advising on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), training staff, and conducting internal audits.
This role focuses on providing data protection advice to Age UK's various business units promoting a "privacy first" approach to design and development of products and services that involve the use of personal data and your primary aim will be to recommend and oversee measures to address any identified gaps in data protection and security.
The successful candidate will use their experience in data governance to undertake regular due diligence on the key elements of the Age UK data privacy framework, identifying and reporting any areas of practice and procedure that that require focus and remedy to ensure that there is no weakness across the charity and our commercial partners.

Duties and Key relationships Marketing and Communications
This is a new role in the Marketing and Communications department and is responsible for the media relations of the Charity.
PR and Media Relations
• To develop relevant media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects.
• Produce creative copy written for a variety of audience groups which champions and shows best practice of our tone of voice
• Develop and support in house PR roll out
· Work with external PR agency on selected press releases where relevant
· Write press releases in line with campaign launches and key moments
· Develop pitches and news stories and other promotional copy.
· Lead on media briefings that convey appropriate key messages and prepare spokespeople
· Identify and interview case studies and media spokespeople
· Pull together monthly Data Analysis reports with the support of the Marketing and Communications Manager
· Send out weekly coverage reports with the Digital Marketing Officer, monitor external activity (including competitor) and incorporate best practice.
· Analyse reports to identify new opportunities and act up to grow presence in national press by identifying proactive and reactive media opportunities.
· Be part of out-of-hours weekend monitoring rota
Communications
• Maintain the communications calendar
• Research, write and distribute media outreach activities such as press releases, media comments, media briefs, features, blogs and letters to editors
• Be the first point of contact for media enquiries and manage the press office function in a timely manner.
• Maintain library system for press cuttings, monitor cuttings and report on results
• Lead on gathering powerful stories that highlight the impact of childhood cancer on the lives of children, young people and families
• Work closely with the fundraising and digital teams to coordinate and respond to the different needs for case studies
• Maintain a detailed and GDPR compliant contact management system of all case studies
• Work closely with the Digital Team to ensure that all campaigns and content produced is reflected on the website and across social media accounts
Families
• Maintain relationships with current patient families who are sharing their cancer journey stories with the media.
• Produce stories of patient families and share online and social media
• Work with a diverse range of case studies and media spokespeople and ensure they are treated in an appropriate and safe manner.
• Be key spokesperson for families media storytelling
Other
• Contribute to the overall Marketing and Communications function of Children with Cancer UK
• Carry out any other duties commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the post

Manage and administer the pilot project to develop a recognition arrangement (RA) framework for licensing Chartered Geologist (CGeol) status to professional bodies overseas, using the new framework to secure three RAs within the project period.

- Setup systems and processes to manage new licensing framework and chartership applications.
- Setup systems and processes to manage quality control of applicants and assessments.
- Setup systems and processes to manage billing and data/records management and sharing.
- Setup Systems and processes to assess RA candidates for Chartership.
Support licensing application process
- Manage enquiries relating to licensing applications.
- Process applications for licensing including data entry and file management.
- Working with the Chartership Officer (CO) organise training for licensed organisation assessors.
- Support the CO to develop and manage the Society’s Chartership assessor’s training programme.
- Organise welcome packs & certificates and training materials.
- Ensure accurate record management and compliance with GDPR guidelines.
Provide effective support to Licensed organisations
- Ensure communications are handled in a prompt and professional manner.
- Ensure that Service delivery targets are maintained
- Ensure regular data collection from licensed organisations for their CGeol registrants.
- Organise invoicing and fee collections for licensing and associated fees.
- Organise periodic review of licensed organisations to ensure quality control.
Support Lead generation and promotional activities
- Working with the Head of Fellowship Services, develop and implement initiatives to promote and generate leads for potential partners for Licensing.

- Working with the Head of Fellowship Services develop and maintain a licensed organisation engagement programme.
- Review and update web pages in relation to licensing.
