We are looking for a talented and experienced Corporate Partnerships professional to head up our rapidly growing Corporate Partnerships team. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, you will provide senior, strategic oversight of a portfolio of major partnerships while actively delivering new business opportunities to maximise income from new partners and build a strong pipeline.
Job Description
Delivering the Corporate Partnerships plan
- Manage the Corporate Partnerships programme at Bookmark, working with the Head of Fundraising to grow the partnerships portfolio within the wider strategy, driving both income and impact
- Lead a team to deliver on the fundraising strategy, line managing both our Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive and Corporate Partnerships Executive
- Manage high-value partnerships by working closely with senior internal and external stakeholders to deliver on partnership goals, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey
- Build a robust pipeline of high-value partnership opportunities by researching and identifying new potential Bookmark corporate partners, working with trustees, staff, and wonderfully supportive Corporate Partnerships Board to facilitate introductions
- Create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals, reports and collateral to inspire and inform corporate partners, reflecting Bookmark’s strong brand
- Work closely with the Philanthropy team to ensure opportunities to maximise income
- Bookmark is lucky to have a strong corporate volunteering proposition and it is at the heart of many of our corporate partnerships. Work with our partners and Volunteers team to ensure the corporate volunteering journey is engaging and impactful
Work with the rest of the Fundraising team
- Devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with the charity’s strategic objectives
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team, Chair of Trustees and colleagues across the charity to ensure corporate fundraising activity is aligned with the charity’s wider plans and objectives
- Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording and forecasting of major donor income, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management
- Ensure that all activity helps to build Bookmark’s brand and is always brand compliant
- Ensure Bookmark’s ethical fundraising policy is adhered to
Person Specification
Essential
- A successful track record in corporate fundraising, including a proven track record of securing five or six-figure gifts, to meet or exceed targets
- Experience line managing individuals, nurturing their development and managing their performance to achieve results
- Demonstrable experience of growing and managing a robust pipeline of supporters, planning for your portfolio and increasing income
- Experience of delivering high value partnerships, working closely with senior internal and external stakeholders to deliver on partnership objectives
- Great verbal communication skills, a passion for presenting and public speaking.
- Demonstrable experience of writing successful, inspiring, emotive, and technically accurate cases for support and proposals tailored to a corporate audience
- An understanding and ability to build budgets and work with financials. Experience of preparing and managing reports and budgets
- Experience using of Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using Salesforce, or another fundraising database
Desirable
- Experience working in a charity with a strong corporate volunteering proposition
- Experience managing a fundraising board

Contract type: Permanent, Full Time, four-day week considered
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000
Location: Bookmark Reading Charity, Charles House, 5-11 Regent Street Saint James's, London SW1Y 4LR. Two days per week based at the Bookmark office

Do you have experience in a fundraising environment and would like to be involved in an exciting and ambitious campaign? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our small and friendly Development team based in the centre of Oxford
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Development, this exciting role will ideally appeal to someone who may already have some experience of fundraising, who is passionate about higher education and wishes to advance their skills in a highly successful college development and alumni relations office. The post is varied but in general the appointee will assist the overall purpose of the office of fostering and deepening relationships between the Hall and its alumni and in securing financial support from those alumni. This role will focus on regular giving and wider fundraising support, whilst there will also be the opportunity to take the lead on some more general projects and responsibilities. The Development Office can be a busy and demanding environment at times as the team work to engage the College community to capitalise on our philanthropic potential and successfully complete the current HALLmarks campaign in line with our ten-year strategic plan.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week) usually 09:00 to 17:00 (some flexibility is negotiable in regard to the start and finish time). The role is based in the centre of Oxford but we can offer the possibility of working one day per week at home if you wish so please get in touch to discuss.
