About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing Finance team at Dementia UK in a new role that will oversee the smooth running of the accounts function. As the Accounts Supervisor, you will be responsible for accurately posting expenditure to the accounts system, Business Central and providing support and training to the Assistant Accountant.

The role involves overseeing the entire finance function, ensuring timely payments, including international transfers and BACS runs. You will work closely with other departments to ensure invoices are correctly coded and maintain a smooth flow of information between Finance and other teams. Additionally, you will process and manage staff expenses, including both the payment and administration of the expenses system.

Your responsibilities will also include preparing monthly bank reconciliations for the main Dementia UK bank account, as well as month-end balance sheet reconciliations and related journals. You will assist in preparing year-end information for the financial statements and the annual audit in addition to regularly monitoring the Finance inbox. Ensuring that financial processes and procedures are compliant with GDPR will be a key aspect of your role.

To succeed in this position, you will need a good general education to degree level or equivalent, or be part-qualified by experience and actively studying for AAT, CIMA, or ACCA. You should be computer literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and at least one accounting programme. Strong accounting and financial management skills are essential, along with the ability to report to and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

The BACCH Education and Training Administrator is a newly created role supporting the British Association for Community Child Health (BACCH), a specialty group of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. This role will take the lead on setting up and delivering educational courses and events for clinicians working in Community Child Health, including webinars, regional events, and the BACCH Annual Scientific Meeting.

Reporting to the BACCH Executive Officer, you will coordinate the development of a structured education and training offer, manage logistics for online and in-person courses, and support initiatives such as trainee-led learning and paid short courses. You will also support BACCH’s six affiliated specialist groups with administrative and event coordination as needed.

The role requires a highly organised and self-motivated individual with experience in event planning, digital platforms, and administrative systems. You’ll also maintain contact databases, filing systems, and internal procedures, while providing occasional cover for the wider team.

Our reports rank many of the world’s largest financial institutions on their approach to environmental and social issues, pushing for and facilitating change in the financial sector.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the delivery of our 2026 benchmark of some of the world’s largest insurance companies (following our 2024 report), using your project management and research skills to ensure timely delivery of a high-quality publication and support the development of junior researchers in the team.
• Coordinate with civil society allies, executing the survey in collaboration with external partners for the first time, as well as continuing to work synergistically with other leading global NGOs.
• Present our work externally and engage with financial institutions, regulators, and industry bodies to provide detailed recommendations for improvement, supporting parallel workstreams on our benchmarks of asset managers and European banks.

Leading a small team of dedicated researchers within the Financial Sector Research team, you will support the Head of the team to ensure delivery of the insurance sector benchmark, one of ShareAction’s key reports ranking financial institutions. This involves organising the team to collect information from institutions and databases, analyse quantitative and qualitative data, produce engaging graphics to communicate results and translate this analysis into actionable steps for financial institutions to take. Please note that this is a new role at Save the Rhino, which offers the chance to help raise vital funds for rhino conservation efforts in Africa and Asia. The Grants Officer will report to the Grants Manager, who in turn reports to the Grants Lead.

Raising funds for specific rhino conservation field programmes and projects in Africa and Asia is a key part of Save the Rhino’s work. In the financial year 2024-25, c. £2.6m in grants were made in response to donor-funded proposals that were drafted by the grants team. Producing good proposals and credible budgets depends on close liaison with Save the Rhino’s partners in the field to understand the issues that need to be addressed and the proposed approaches to tackle them. Receiving repeat grants from donors depends on consistently providing high-quality, relevant and timely reports that analyse the impact of the grants, as well as developing relationships with the donors built on mutual trust and understanding.

As part of Save the Rhino’s grants management team, the Grants Officer will benefit from the opportunity to learn about rhino conservation in the field, and best practice fundraising. The primary focus of the role will be to support the Conservation and Fundraising teams by drafting narrative and financial reports on grants from individuals, companies, grant-making trusts and foundations, zoos, and governments. In addition, the Grants Officer will also participate in internal and external discussions about project design, monitoring and evaluating impact, and help provide content for Save the Rhino’s website, print, and social media.

Programme-facing

Internal

• Provide compelling copy and images for Save the Rhino’s Communications team to produce content highlighting rhino conservation progress and the impact of donors’ grants
• Ensure all supporter and partner activity is accurately recorded in Save the Rhino’s database (Salesforce) and used effectively for relationship management
• Manage administrative tasks, including creating invoices, and tracking income and expenditure against the budget

We are seeking a new Finance and Administration Officer following the upcoming retirement of a long-serving team member. A key member of the SLA central office team, the Finance and Administration Officer plays a vital role in ensuring smooth financial operations and providing essential administrative support for our membership. In addition to administration support, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, book-keeping and effective day-to-day financial operations, producing financial reports using XERO and our CRM.

You will be experienced in financial and administration operations of a charity or similar , with an AAT qualification or matching worked experience. Familiarity with XERO will be an advantage. You will be able to bring understanding of cashflow and financial analysis of figure, working with accountants as required.

You will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to work effectively with all stakeholders from our members, to funders to suppliers. You will be determined and have an excellent eye for financial and administrative detail. Your duties will include general administration and:

Financial operations and record-keeping

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records of all SLA accounts and petty cash; book-keeping

Job Purpose

To manage and develop the home from hospital settle service in the hospitals that you are responsible for, to support timely and successful patient discharges from hospital and prevent re-admissions.  You will work in collaboration with hospital teams and community teams to lead and manage your team to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users.  The service works with people for time limited support (usually up to 6 weeks) to adjust and settle back in their homes, and to prevent readmission into hospital. 

Key Tasks

• Work in partnership with the hospitals and other health and social care professionals to coordinate safe and timely discharges for referred clients.  This involves attending meetings with hospital personnel including Discharge Co-ordinators and Ward Managers to discuss discharges and plan who and how individuals will be supported as appropriate.

The role is a key part of the HFEH Mind team delivering mental health services across Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing, and Hounslow.

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, supporting, and retaining volunteers across the charity. You will ensure that volunteers have a positive experience, receive appropriate training and guidance, and feel valued for the time and skills they give. You will also work closely with staff to match volunteers to roles.

In this role, you will: 

• Manage and grow a portfolio of philanthropists and trusts, fostering meaningful, long-term relationships to maximise income and impact 

• Deliver flexible funding targets by leading the Major Donor Programme and Supporting Trusts Portfolio, with a focus on donor stewardship and retention 

• Support the Philanthropy & Strategic Foundations team with day-to-day operations, administration and project co-ordination to ensure high-quality delivery 

• Act as the team's humanitarian response representative co-ordinating with internal teams and ensuring a speedy, and efficient notification to all donors of any emergency activations 

• Write compelling funding proposals and donor reports aligned with organisational priorities and impact goals 

• Build excellent internal relationships across the Partnerships for Impact team to enhance collaboration and collective success

• Support the team on external partnerships when needed, ensuring commitments are fulfilled while identifying opportunities for new impactful initiatives 

• Coordinate cross-functional, and donor engagement activities, share best practice and knowledge across the team, and contribute to the development of impactful communications about our work

• Where required, attend and support external meetings and events, representing Save the Children and supporting strategic objectives. 

About you 

To be successful, it is important that you have: 

• Proven experience managing donor portfolios and cultivating four-to-five-figure funding relationships 

• Demonstrable success in securing flexible income through philanthropic and trust fundraising 

• Strong skills in writing impactful proposals and donor reports tailored to funder expectations 

• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement abilities, both internally and externally 

• A highly organised and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a complex portfolio 

• Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce, and experience supporting cross-functional fundraising teams.

Technical Skills 

• Proven experience in providing high-quality administrative and project management support. 

• Experience delivering mass stewardship or appeal mailings and/or experience securing four-to-five figure level gifts. 

• Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce for partner management and data tracking. 

• Competence in financial administration and fundraising processes. 

• Ability to develop and optimise systems and tools to improve team efficiency. 

• Experience coordinating bespoke initiatives and activities in a fast-paced environment.

Ways of Working:

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter).  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.

Senior Management Accountant

£51,000 (London)

The National Archives are a non-ministerial department, and the official archive and publisher for the UK Government, and for England and Wales. We are the guardians of over 1,000 years of iconic national documents.

Operating within the Management Accounting team, the postholder will act as a Senior Management Accountant for the business area for which they are made responsible. Working directly with budget holders, Heads of Department and Directors, they will manage all aspects of their management accounting and financial planning services providing incisive, value-add financial support and analysis which facilitates effective decision making.

The organisation:

We are expert advisers in information and records management and we work with partner across the cultural, academic and heritage sectors. We fulfil a leadership role for the archive sector and work to secure the future of physical and digital records. We collect and secure the future of the government record, from Shakespeare’s will to tweets from Downing Street, to preserve it for generations to come.

The role:

• Be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate, relevant management information to all levels of management within assigned Directorates, regularly reviewing this information with the senior management teams. This will include provision of monthly reports, critical review of results, value-add analysis, explanation of variances and early identification of potential issues / opportunities.
• Be responsible for providing analysis that informs and supports effective decision making.
• Apply various tools such as investment appraisal techniques to better inform decision making.
• Support the business in gathering evidence to assess the costs, benefits and risks of a wide range of delivery options when making commercial decisions, and provide advice which helps secure value-for-money.
• Build strong and positive relationships with budget holders and senior managers (notably Heads of Departments), providing the necessary assistance and professional advice to assist them with the financial aspects of their duties.
• Proactively provide improvements to procedures, applying sound judgement based on knowledge and experience.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a fully qualified Accountant.
• Have strong analytical skills, able to identify and interpret trends and improve financial forecasting.
• Have the ability to understand the strategic business goals of an organisation, able to ‘look beyond the numbers’ and understand the wider business context.
• Be a team player, with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to work with a diverse and broad range of stakeholders across the organisation. Demonstrable ability to influence.
• Have good written and oral communication skills, able to communicate clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways that promote understanding but challenge when needed.
• Have strong finance system skills including advanced Excel skills.

This position will be based officially at the head office in Kew and will require the postholder to work from the office three days a week.
