Role Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, fundraiser who is target driven, to apply for a new role, Philanthropy Development Manager, to lead a step-change in member giving. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of philanthropic giving at the Goldsmiths’ Company. The postholder will develop and implement strategies to double the amount individual members give each year for the next three years. In doing this they will work with the Goldsmiths’ Foundation to harness the power of community, connection, and purpose-driven philanthropy. This role is ideal for a confident relationship-builder, communicator and fundraiser who can develop compelling cases for support, segment and engage diverse supporter groups, and deliver targeted campaigns that inspire generosity. They will need to relish the opportunity to collaborate with different teams and stakeholders across the organisation and enjoy the challenge of working to achieve a significant new fundraising target. The role is part of the membership team and will collaborate closely across teams in the institution, particularly the Goldsmiths’ Foundation, Finance and Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and deliver a multi-year strategy to grow member giving, with a focus on significantly increasing contributions within a defined timeframe.
· Analyse current giving trends and segment the membership to identify opportunities for tailored engagement and stewardship.
· Develop and manage campaigns, appeals, events, and digital communications that strengthen donor relationships and drive income.
· Build personal relationships with high-potential donors.
· Collaborate with Communications and other teams to align philanthropic messaging with the Goldsmiths’ Foundation’s impact and values.
· Monitor progress through clear KPIs and provide regular performance reporting to leadership, the Membership Committee and Foundation Trustees.

Skills & Experience Essential:
· Proven track record in fundraising or philanthropy development, ideally within a membership or alumni-based organisation.
· Demonstrable success in growing income from individual donors, including designing and delivering donor acquisition and retention strategies.
· Strong experience in project management, with good operational and planning skills and the confidence to co-ordinate the work of others.
· Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages that resonate with diverse audiences.
· Data-driven mindset, with experience in CRM/database management, donor segmentation, and campaign performance analysis.

Where You’ll Be Delivering Our Mission
Most of the time, you’ll be based from our brand new Unloc Leeds office space in the city centre, or delivering programmes in Schools and Colleges in the Leeds City Region.
You’ll also be out and about delivering programmes to our partners in other areas across the North of England. Occasionally, you will travel to London or Portsmouth (our HQ) to spend time with other teams. You will likely have more travel in your first three months as part of your induction programme. Of course, any travel costs outside of commuting to/from the Leeds city centre office will be covered, alongside an allowance for meals and accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the implementation of the Unloc Leeds Strategy

Organise, plan and facilitate bespoke changemaker events (with support from the Operations and Quality teams) for individual businesses, grant giving bodies, schools & colleges. These will span all four of our programme pillars; youth voice, leadership, entrepreneurship, and careers and employability. This generally involves designing agendas, booking speakers, managing event resources, actively leading individual sessions, briefing event support staff, liaising with key points of contact and managing attendance from multiple schools, colleges and partners.

About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Marketing & Communications Manager who can work well in a team and deliver on our visitor marketing strategy.
This role has responsibility to implement the National Visitor Marketing (NVM) and communications strategy for WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre, ensuring alignment with the WWT visitor proposition and brand.

In 2024, TAWS was given the opportunity pilot a Surplus Hub Project at Birmingham Wholesale Market, where edible waste food destined for anaerobic digestion can be diverted to human consumption. To purpose of this role is to maximise the amount of surplus food available to the Food Justice Network groups via the Birmingham Wholesale Markets.
Food Redistribution Manager:
The Food Justice Network is a network of around 300 independent partner organisations, all of who are providing support across the city. FJN Partners offer a range of services from foodbanks to community cafes, to community pantries and warm spaces, all delivering vital support to some of Birmingham's most vulnerable citizens.
Your role will be the sourcing and procuring farming surplus and collective buying of fresh produce for the Food Justice Network. Part of this opportunity will be facilitating the set-up of a city-wide network to make surplus food redistribution more coordinated and effective.
There is already a significant amount of surplus food redistributed across the city and lots of work going on in terms of reducing waste in businesses but we know that sometimes unexpected surplus food arises and not every food business is plugged in to the surplus food network.
Alongside the core of the role, you will also be managing two to three people who you will be working in conjunction with but on separate projects.
This will provide less reasons for businesses to waste food with a strong, well connected and promoted network.
