We are looking for a highly organised and focused Governance and Performance Officer to join our Governance team.

The Governance and Performance Officer provides administrative, logistical and coordination support to a range of colleagues, including the Boards, Senior Leadership Team and Campaign Project Management Team, to enable effective governance and leadership of Friends of the Earth.

You’ll support Board, campaign strategy, and other cross-organisational meetings, as well as coordinating key processes around reporting and compliance. You’ll work closely with the rest of the Governance Team and the Project Management Team.

You will have excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills with a focus on quality, detail and outcomes. This is a brand new role and would suit someone who has excelled in a similar role and can play a big role in defining and shaping the donor engagement strategy. It has been created to support the new fundraising strategy objective to retain over 10k regular donors and to drive deeper engagement with over 30k supporters. The postholder will have an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the Fund’s long-term income. You will work as part of the Individual Giving team and maximise supporter engagement through both offline and digital activity. The postholder will take the lead on scoping, proposing and implementing multi-channel stewardship campaigns with the right message to the right people at the right time.

You will have proven experience in managing supporter stewardship campaigns across a broad number of channels as well as setting and managing budgets and meeting KPIs. With experience of fundraising databases, creating supporter journeys and briefing and working with external agencies. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and show initiative, flair and enthusiasm for the work of the Fund.

The role will be office based at our London HQ, with a minimum of three days working in the office per week. The successful candidate for this role will need to prove they have the right to work in the UK.

• Develop and implement a robust prospect research strategy supporting high-value fundraising across philanthropists, trusts & foundations, and corporates in the UK.

Deploy and maintain laptop, desktop and tablet security to ensure that IT service users can enjoy a safe and secure IT environment. Perform proactive maintenance of the infrastructure environment as required. Work to tight deadlines and provide high levels of technical support and compliance. 

Working alongside colleagues within the Infrastructure team, you will provide support services to approximately 250 local and remote users within the organisation.

About You

• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms and software, including but not limited to: Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows 11, Backup, Monitoring/SNMP, SMTP/Exchange, Web Server/IIS, Dell Servers and storage, Printers/Papercut,
• Office 365, MS 365.
• Experience in server administration, database administration and application support.
• Experienced in IT support services and ticketing, as well as laptop and mobile phone support and networking configuration.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate technical issues to all levels
• Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Customer service skills demonstrated through communication, knowledge, attention to detail and ability to get things done
• Strong organisational skills including planning, prioritising, timekeeping and managing busy workloads and ticketing systems working to prioritise.
• Flexible to changing situations and timings
