This is an exciting opportunity to join the TCV Sussex team to expand and develop our Health Walks offer as part of our new Green Gateways social prescribing project.

East Sussex Health Walks is a long running county-wide scheme of weekly one hour walks led by trained community volunteers. Last year we had nearly 20,000 walking engagements and we want to build on this. This post is for a Health Walk Coordinator to coordinate and develop the programme to help even more people to improve their health and wellbeing with regular, manageable exercise.
You will be coordinating the existing programme of Health Walks (approximately 25 per week) and managing the large group of Volunteer Health Walk Leaders (currently about 100). You will be responsible for recruiting and training new volunteers and developing new Health Walks to meet the funder's targets, including liaising with local partners, mapping, risk assessing and planning.
There will be ongoing marketing and publicity needs, as well as regular internal comms with volunteers to make sure they feel supported and valued and to reinforce and role model TCV best practise for safe, inclusive and supportive activities.

The Role (30hrs per week)

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.
Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.
This is a fixed term position to November 2025.
This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with the team and manager to develop and deliver new group work provision for young people.

It aims to influence and facilitate greater collaboration between the regional health system (BNSSG Integrated Care System) and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE). It seeks to do this by enhancing the role of the VCSE sector in the delivery and transformation of wellbeing and health, and cementing our sector’s role as a key strategic partner in the planning, design and delivery of health and care, in its widest possible definition.
The co-design of a new ‘VCSE Brokerage Framework’ with colleagues from the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and System (ICS) is a key priority for the VCSE Alliance in 2024-25. The aim of the Brokerage Framework is to provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach a diverse range of VCSE organisations. The intention is for it to be a new process by which grants and opportunities can be distributed to the sector.
This is a really exciting time to join the Alliance and deliver a new innovative process which has the potential to be transformative for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
The Role
The VCSE Brokerage Manager’s role is to lead on the further development, piloting, and preparation for launch of the Brokerage Framework. The role will work closely with colleagues across the VCSE Alliance and the health and social care system. Ensuring that diverse VCSE organisations, from micro to large scale and that serve communities of interest, of place and of practice are included and enabled in the brokerage framework will be crucial to the success of this role.

Rethink Nature is a partnership of seven leading species conservation organisations whose aim is ‘to combine their extensive knowledge and experience to catalyse the action that species need across the four nations of the UK’. We have received funding from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to set up a Species Recovery Partnership for NI to strengthen and build the Rethink partnership in NI, and work with government, other eNGOs and key stakeholders to better deliver key outcomes for species. You will work on behalf of the Partnership but be managed by the Head of Species at RSPB NI, and will be responsible for managing the Partnership Administrator. You will also work closely with Rethink Nature UK's Species Advocacy Lead. The role holder can be based anywhere in the UK but will be expected to travel to Northern Ireland (Belfast) approximately once every two months.
What's the role about?
We are looking for a highly organised and passionate individual with a good working knowledge of priority species in NI, the mechanisms needed to deliver for them, and the ability to bring stakeholders together. You will be responsible for managing the project to sure that that the following key outcomes are delivered within budget and on time.
- A set of Species Recovery Principles for NI
- A cross-taxa list of highest priority species for NI and concise species action plans (cSAPs) for these species
- A 3-day facilitated workshop to agree on the prioritised list and how the cSAPs and the bid will be developed.
- A NI Species bid, similar to those in GB (Species on the Edge, Back from the Brink, Natur Am Byth), to deliver the critical actions outlined in the cSAPs. This would form the basis of a bid to NLHF for development and delivery funding for a NI species bid.
- A document outlining the key policy and legislative changes needed to deliver for species in Northern Ireland and associated advocacy to ensure it gains attention and influences change.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Demonstrable experience of developing and working in partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
- Demonstrable leadership ability, able to lead without line management authority
- Organising meetings, facilitated workshops and events
- Excellent written, spoken communication and presentation skills for a wide variety of audiences

The London Domestic Abuse Advise Service provides support to address the risk of customers who are already involved with Look Ahead services. Customers are referred from all four specialisms of the organisation; Young People; Homelessness; Mental Health; and Learning Disabilities.
The role of an IDVA is to address the safety of victims and survivors of domestic abuse using DASH RIC and Individual Safety and Support Plans and represent the needs and values of each victim/survivor to external services. We take a trauma-informed and person-centred approach.
The post holder will be required to work alongside Look Ahead key workers and staff to support customers with complex needs are being supported by Look Ahead.

Courtesy of the National Lottery Community Fund Fusion Maidstone are able to launch their Park Wood Connects project which is a three year engagement and support initiative co-designed with the local community to support people struggling with the combined effects of the cost-of-living crisis, the mental health crisis, and high levels of social isolation/loneliness in one of the South East’s most deprived communities. To address the growing numbers of vulnerable local residents we propose to do two things through the Park Wood Connects project:

About the Community Outreach Worker Role
