Job purpose:

To provide experienced and effective strategic leadership, and operational delivery, of the fundraising and marketing initiatives of The Mix and its trading subsidiary, 127 Trading Ltd, to generate a diverse and sustainable stream of income to enable The Mix to deliver its charitable activities in the years ahead.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic fundraising and marketing professional to develop and execute an ambitious commercial strategy to enable us to provide even greater support to young people in Suffolk.

 Background

The Mix Stowmarket Ltd. is an established youth charity working with young people aged 9–25 across Mid Suffolk. With a committed team, a flagship youth centre, and a trading arm, 127 Trading Ltd, operating two cafés, we’re rooted in community impact and innovation.

We exist to inspire, empower, and support young people to build resilience, thrive, and unlock their full potential. Working from our centre in Stowmarket and a second base in Needham Market, we deliver a diverse range of programmes including youth mentoring, alternative education, school-based support, and open-access youth sessions. We have recently appointed our new Chief Executive Officer who takes up post in October 2025. We now seek a strategic and operationally savvy Head of Fundraising and Marketing to support the senior team as they lead The Mix into its next chapter, with prime responsibility to generate a diverse and sustainable stream of income to enable The Mix to deliver its charitable activities in the years ahead.

Overview of the role

As the organisation’s Head of Fundraising and Marketing, you will be an experienced, ambitious, enthusiastic, and dynamic professional, who is passionate about fundraising and maximising income generation.

Working closely with our new CEO and committed trustees and staff, you will develop and implement fundraising and marketing strategies that align to our vision and drive the expansion of our crucial support to young people in Suffolk.

You will have a thorough understanding of planning, organising, and delivering successful fundraising campaigns, initiatives, and events with a strong attention-to-detail. You will be comfortable working at a leadership and strategic level but also unafraid to roll up your sleeves and create bids, funding proposals, and marketing materials.

You will be a natural ambassador, working with the CEO to build partnerships at the local and regional level, and your ambassadorial skills will help raise our profile and leverage our networks and connections.

The Head of Fundraising and Marketing is responsible for the day-to-day marketing and management oversight of The Mix and 127 Trading Ltd and the management of its marketing staff and budgets.

Main Responsibilities

1. Strategic leadership

· Develop and lead the multi-channel fundraising and marketing strategy to meet agreed income targets and support 

         long-term sustainability for both The Mix and 127 Trading Ltd.

· Work closely with the CEO and Trustees, to align fundraising efforts with the strategic goals of the charity and bring               insight into income generation and stakeholder engagement.

· Actively contribute to the senior leadership team, shaping organisational policies and strategic direction, ensuring the           integration of fundraising, marketing and operational activities.

2. Fundraising and income generation

· Drive the development of diverse income streams, including major donor fundraising, corporate partnerships,                         individual giving, legacies, lotteries, community fundraising and events.

· Proactively seek new opportunities to secure long-term, multi-year funding through well-targeted funding applications           and corporate proposals.

· Build strong partner relationships with a focus on stewardship, retention, and growth.

· Monitor performance, analyse data, and drive continuous improvement.

· Chair the Fundraising sub-committee and contribute to the Data, Impact and Evidence Action Group

· Responsible for completion of all bids, grants and funding applications and ensuring that funders receive appropriate             ongoing feedback.
 

3. Marketing and communications

· Develop marketing materials and campaigns that effectively communicate the charity’s mission, vision and                             achievements to various audiences for both The Mix and 127 Trading Ltd.

· Lead the management of digital platforms, ensuring consistent and inspiring content across all channels, including the           website, social media, email and printed materials.

· Ensure that brand messaging is consistent, clear and aligned across The Mix and 127 Trading Ltd to enhance public             recognition and reputation.

· Grow awareness of the charity at a local and regional level, monitoring success through market research.

· Develop compelling narratives and stories of the charity’s impact to engage partners and encourage continued                     support.

4. Team leadership and development

· Lead and develop the Fundraising & Marketing team, fostering a collaborative and positive culture.

· Mentor and support team members in achieving their professional development goals, ensuring they attain business             objectives.

· Regularly monitor and review team performance to meet income generation and communication objectives.

5. Operational excellence

· Ensure compliance with data protection laws, fundraising regulations and ethical guidelines across all fundraising and           marketing activities.

· Review and improve the use of the website and develop systems to track donor engagement, monitor income and                 ensure data integrity and transparency.

· Work closely with finance and operations teams to oversee the management and monitoring of fundraising targets.

·Work closely with the Youth Work team to provide insight to funding opportunities available and marketing and                       fundraising activities occurring.

Main duties

Fundraising CRM Project Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end project to replace the current CRM system, including an audit of existing data, research into CRM options, supplier selection and full onboarding and implementation.
• Manage and maintain the current Salesforce system during the review period, ensuring it remains functional, accurate, and fit for purpose while supporting the transition process.
• Act as the day-to-day lead for the CRM system within the Fundraising and Communications team, ensuring it meets team needs and supports strategic goals.

CRM and Data Management

• Maintain and improve the quality of supporter data through regular cleansing, deduplication, and tagging to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance.
• Working with data flows and setting up integrations, ensuring the system runs smoothly on an ongoing basis, making updates, troubleshooting issues whilst maintaining data consistency.
• Work with the Finance team to support integration between the CRM and finance systems for seamless donation and income reporting.

Data Selections, Segmentation and Campaign Support

• Collaborate with the Fundraising team to perform targeted data selections for appeals, newsletters, stewardship journeys, and events.
• Develop and maintain segmentation structures and logic to support personalised supporter journeys and strategic targeting.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to provide campaign-ready data for fundraising, advocacy, and engagement activities.

Reporting and Insight

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real time insight into fundraising performance, donor behaviour and campaign results.
• Create and deliver regular and ad hoc fundraising analysis to inform strategic decisions and performance tracking.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve donor retention, upgrade journeys and lifetime value through data driven insight.

Key responsibilities

• In conjunction with your Line Manager, continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• Proactively flag any data integrity issues with Line Manager and help develop action plans as required.
• Participate in internal/external meetings as required, and attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.

Main purpose of the job

A fantastic opportunity has emerged to join Bond’s communications team, as its new Media Adviser.

This position will add capacity to Bond’s media function to help build Bond’s media presence, support the delivery of Bond’s strategy and support the sector in championing humanitarian assistance and development that works to help those who need it the most. This post has two main purposes. Firstly, to coordinate and engage with communications and media specialists across the sector to address shared issues and achieve shared objectives together. Secondly, to maximise opportunities to achieve regular media coverage to help deliver Bond’s strategic objectives and services in appropriate sector press, in support of Bond’s strategy, positioning and reputation.

This role will work collaboratively across the organisation and the NGO sector and will help deliver a planned, strategic, consistent, and integrated approach to our media work.

Main responsibilities

Press office (30%)

• Act as prime contact for enquiries from press or other media representatives
• Identify matters on which collective action/comment from Bond and/or the wider sector may or may not be required
• Ensure consistent messaging around Bond’s media work and campaigns or sector initiatives in which Bond is engaged
• Write and sell-in collective letters, statements, opinion pieces, features, and responses to print, online and broadcast media
• Updating Bond’s press lists while developing and maintaining good relationships with key journalists in relevant media
• Record and report media coverage of Bond and parliamentary stakeholders, using Bond’s media monitoring platform to track coverage

Leading Bond’s media and PR work (20%)

• Ensure regular coverage of Bond’s work and services in appropriate sector media to support delivery of Bond’s organisational strategy

Title: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Advisor (Qualitative Evidence)

Responsibilities 

About the role 

We are seeking an experienced Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Advisor to provide sound technical advice and guidance to ensure high quality qualitative outcome measurement tools and approaches in line with our increasing portfolio in disability and social inclusion in order to continuously improve Sightsavers’ evidence base. 

As the MEL Advisor you will lead qualitative project baseline and endline data collection, coordination, reporting and learning to improve the quality of our programmes and Sightsavers impact. You will maintain and further develop Sightsavers’ qualitative outcome monitoring approach across our thematic areas and ensure high quality data collection, analysis and reporting.

Sightsavers has developed and introduced a MEL framework to measure the organisation’s strategic progress - Learning Accountability and Monitoring Progress (LAMP). The post holder will support its processes and make a significant contribution to understanding progress using qualitative evidence. 

Responsibilities include: 

Developing and strengthening practices 

• Lead on the strengthening and design of innovative and participatory monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools to assess outcomes and impact of programmes; support the integration of successful approaches in routine MEL practice.

• Lead on the piloting, implementation and revision of Sightsavers MEL approaches in existing and new projects including strong links with LAMP; support MEL team members to implement appropriate tools. 

• Contribute to Country Office, Regional and Global capacity building plans and provide MEL-focused training and facilitation.

Technical Support and guidance 

• Strengthen the use of Theories of Change (ToC) within projects through participating in their development and ensuring clear relationships between ToC and baselines and endlines. 

• Provide technical support to logframe development during the project design process ensuring strong links with LAMP, particularly for social inclusion and inclusive education projects. 

• Contribute to project MEL planning by ensuring continuity between baseline and endline data collection tools, and annual monitoring tools. 

• Ensure the accurate design of evidence gathering elements, including clear and robust rationale, budgets and resourcing. 

• Maintain open lines of communication among internal stakeholders about project progress and escalate risk when needed. A key focus is to assist institutional funding and senior management with communications on project progress and challenges. 

Evidence generation and learning 

• Lead Country and Global teams to conduct evidence generation activities to support strategic direction including, project baseline, annual and endline data collection, reporting and learning at project and portfolio (strategy) level 

• Analyse, consolidate and disseminate indicator baseline and endline data, provide technical support to donor reporting when necessary 

• Support the integration of needs and opinions expressed by people and communities we serve 

• Collaborate with MEL team members to analyse performance data, write reports and provide recommendations 

• Ensure that learning from project baselines contributes to project design, implementation and improvements in MEL practice

• Support the design, delivery and dissemination of learning, particularly around inclusion, within and between relevant thematic areas 

The post holder is expected to travel up to eight weeks a year locally and internationally. The role offers flexible working from home and the office to be agreed upon with the line manager. 

Skills and Experience 

As the successful candidate you will possess a degree in a relevant field or subject (international development, public health, social sciences), or equivalent learning and experience. You will have a background in the comprehensive design and delivery of outcome focussed qualitative approaches/techniques including participatory MEL, tool development, data collection, analysis and reporting, and have experience of analysing rich qualitative data from multiple sources including the use of appropriate analysis methods and data analysis software tools. 

Further required knowledge, skills and experience include: 

Essential 

• Experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning gained within the international development sector in programme countries.

• Excellent technical skills in monitoring, evaluation and learning: developing and using theories of change, designing MEL plans, designing logframes, managing oversight processes, sharing evidence and communicating learning, data quality assessment.

• Experience producing analytical reports and communication materials of good quality for a wide range of audiences, particularly using qualitative data. 

• Excellent self-management and initiative with proven ability to independently manage large, complex pieces of work with multiple stakeholders in a high-pressure environment working to competing deadlines. 

• Ability to build and manage strong, effective working relationships with internal and external audiences on complex international development projects (working with multiple countries and continents) 

• Ability to balance attention to detail with understanding the big picture. 

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products and relevant use of artificial intelligence (AI) software 

Desirable 

• Fluency in other Sightsavers’ languages e.g. French, Portuguese, Bengali, Kiswahili. 

• Experience in MEL for social inclusion and/or education programmes and inclusive data skills. Disability data skills are an asset.

Our partner is seeking a consultant to conduct a review of its finance function, including structure, processes and systems with a view of improving effectiveness and efficiency. This exercise stems from the fact that the finance function of the organisation has developed organically over the course of the organisation’s life and growth, covering the expansion of programmes and the opening of new administrative offices.

Scope of the Review

• Review of the current structure - assess what functions are best delivered in each location, the skillset of finance staff and what capacity is needed in each location to deliver these services.
• Review of the processes and systems; and make recommendations on how processes might be streamlined to address bottlenecks and streamline these.
• Advise on how the finance function might operate more effectively as a global function
• Advise on what IT/systems solutions might further improve efficiency

Requirements

• A qualified senior finance professional with experience of change management within an international not for profit, specifically reviewing the structure of the finance function, undertaking in-depth review and analysis of global processes and systems.
• Experience of working in a complex grant-funded environment with knowledge of full grants cycle management.
• Strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills.

They anticipate this project to start in October 2025, ending in December 2025. The postholder will be working closely with the COO who has a vision of what the change process will entail, alongside two other significant pieces of work the organisation is undertaking at the same time.

You will play a central role in growing and maintaining income across the Hospice and positioning us as the local charity of choice.

You will help establish an integrated individual giving programme, review and develop our regular giving offering, the Friends of St Francis, and establish a new mid-value segment.

• Fundraising Success: At least three years’ experience operating and growing income in an Individual Giving Role (or with relevant transferable skills)
• Data management and analysis: Strong data analysis skills with experience of approaches to data segmentation and  developing data management systems and processes
• Project management and collaboration: Ability to manage complex projects, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
• Results orientated: Knowledge of developing and tracking KPIS and ability to drive regular giving that maximises ROI

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager will play a central role in growing high-value income streams and building meaningful relationships with individuals, corporates, and grant-making bodies. Managing a small team and working closely with senior leaders and NHS stakeholders, you will develop and drive forward an ambitious programme of philanthropic fundraising to support the work of Sheffield Hospitals Charity. You will be joining us after the conclusion of the Master Cutler’s Challenge 2025, during which we have developed new relationships with corporates and individuals across the city. In recent months we have appointed a Trusts and Foundations Officer – who you will line-manage – who has a sound pipeline and projects to fundraise for. Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering both paid and organic campaigns that attract new supporters, donors, and volunteers to SSAFA. Your efforts will ensure that people feel genuinely connected to our cause and inspired to get involved, working closely with our partner agencies to target and segment supporters based on their interests and engagement with us.

As part of the Digital Marketing team, you will monitor the performance of our campaigns across all digital channels, using data and insights to refine our strategies. You will stay abreast of the latest trends in digital marketing, social media, and supporter acquisition, always seeking fresh, innovative ideas to expand our reach and impact.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and experience in digital marketing and paid social, particularly within the charity sector.

About the team

You'd be joining a small but dynamic group of individuals with strong skillsets across digital marketing, brand and community marketing, and creative development and design. The team prioritise collaboration and are always sharing knowledge and expertise with each other. You will work closely across all directorates within SSAFA, create compelling marcomms campaigns and activities to raise awareness of SSAFA’s work.

About you

With proven experience in digital marketing, particularly in acquisition campaigns, you excel at creating and managing paid media campaigns and social media channels to increase reach and engagement. You are adept at using analytics tools (e.g. Meta Business Manager) to measure and report on campaign performance, and you stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and social media.
