Please note: This role is London based with an expectation to be in our Farringdon office once a week on a Thursday, with other in person days planned throughout the year.

As our Marketing Executive (Loyalty) in our Loyalty Squad you will play an important role in driving brilliant supporter-centric marketing campaigns to raise crucial support for Save the Children UK. Working closely with Marketing Managers, you will contribute to the development and execution of effective retention and income growth activity. Your focus will be on fostering deep connections with our supporters, prompting action, and driving income by increasing both donor volume and value.

 In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with Marketing Managers to deliver compelling multi-channel campaigns that drive income and retention targets.
• Utilise various marketing channels, including Direct Mail, Email, Telemarketing and SME to create engaging communication journeys for donors.
• Take ownership of specific aspects of the supporter experience to enhance engagement and drive long-term value.
• Contribute to the creation and delivery of key marketing materials across multiple channels and propositions.
• Liaise with external suppliers to ensure smooth campaign delivery and optimise results while prioritising a positive supporter experience.
• Maintain accurate records of campaign activity and performance, generating regular performance reports.
• Incorporate customer supporter insight and data analysis into marketing strategies, utilising a test-and-learn approach to continually improve acquisition outputs.

 To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Previous experience in customer/supporter loyalty and retention marketing.
• Experience working on fundraising cash appeals or other income generating campaigns.
• Proficiency in delivering marketing initiatives across various channels, most notably Direct Mail, Email, Digital.
• Some experience with Telemarketing and SMS would be desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrated ability to grow existing supporter value through communication journeys, supporter experience enhancements, or donor care initiatives.
• Project management skills with a track record of supporting the delivery of complex projects on time and within budget.
• Experience collaborating with external partners, such as creative agencies, fulfilment houses, or telemarketing agencies.
• Familiarity with developing and delivering fundraising and marketing assets both online and offline, with knowledge of both data and print processes for direct marketing.
• Ability to utilise data and insights to inform marketing strategies, track results, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.

Ways of Working:

About the Role  

Under the direction of the Chief Executive, the Deputy Chief Executive (Operations and Services) will be responsible for the overall financial management, business reporting and operational services for the organisation. The person within this role will develop controls, policies and procedures that work for a variety of audiences including student volunteers, staff and trustees. They will lead on setting the strategic financial goals for the organisation and take a proactive role in supporting our performance towards these goals. The role will also support several departmental managers who deliver organisational services in the areas of finance, commercial and central services. You will be confident in providing high quality strategic advice to the Board of Trustees regarding the long-term future of the organisation as well as supporting the wider team with day-to-day functions and operations. 

We are looking for a dynamic leader who ideally has a relevant finance qualification or can demonstrate a high-level of job-related knowledge. You will also have good technical knowledge and hands-on experience of accounting software and finance systems.  You will excel in developing systems and processes and be able to ensure that these are embedded throughout the organisation, ensuring the continued financial strength of the organisation. The successful candidate won’t necessarily need to come from the Higher Education sector, but you must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the trends and issues that affect our students. About the post of CEO

You will have strategic leadership experience and have previously led teams. JOB DESCRIPTION

Strategy and Operations

1. Develop, implement, and lead execution of the charity's annual operational plan and 3-year strategic plan.

2. Identify appropriate level of staffing, volunteering, ensuring that all staff and volunteers are appropriately interviewed, vetted, inducted, trained, developed, and supported to deliver against their objectives.

3. Ensure appropriate upkeep, security, and management of the charity’s premises, including all relevant contracts and payments.

4. Ensure that the charity’s IT systems are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant law.

People

5. Line management of seven staff members, and responsibility for staff and team development, cohesion and appraisals.

6. Recruit and support social club facilitators and appropriate consultants to provide additional resource to the charity as required.

7. Lead staff member for safeguarding, liaising directly with Hammersmith and Fulham Adult Social Care.

8. Ensure appropriate mechanisms and safeguards are in place to support up to 100 regular volunteers, and up to 100 additional corporate/student volunteers.

9. Ensure appropriate mechanisms and safeguards are in place to support up to 500 beneficiaries and additional attendees at FGN events.

Finance and Fundraising

10. Develop, implement, and lead charity’s financial and fundraising planning and management, ensuring that the charity operates at least at break-even, ideally with a small surplus.

11. Ensure that the charity has a diverse range of income across various streams, inclusive of (but not limited to) public sector, trusts and foundations, corporate income, events, and online giving.

12. Ensure that the charity is receiving value for money with all expenditure, ensuring contract review on a timely basis as appropriate.

13. Ensure appropriate cashflow projections so that expenditure does not exceed income in any one year unless pre-agreed with trustees.

14. Ensure that appropriate financial controls are in place so to protect charity and anyone handling money on behalf of the charity.

15. In conjunction with the finance administrator and hon. treasurer monitor all income, expenditure, accounts, funding investments and budgets.

Governance

16 Ensure compliance with charity and company law, inclusive of writing, presentation and filing of annual report and accounts and other Company Secretary duties.

17 Organise, attend, record and report at board meetings every two months, inclusive of finance and operations reporting and the regular cycle of governance reviews.

18 Plan, organise and attend AGM and annual strategy session.

19 Ensure appropriate level of risk management and insurance are in place for the charity.

20 Ensure all relevant policies, procedures and financial controls are in place, inclusive of annual review.

Communications and Impact

21. Represent and promote the charity in public, sourcing media opportunities as appropriate so to increase visibility.

22. Represent the charity on appropriate networks and forums so to develop stakeholder relationships and source opportunities for cross-partner collaboration.

23. Ensure positive, fit-for-purpose, internal and external communications, inclusive of monthly newsletters, social media presence and other marketing materials.

24. Ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of projects and develop relationships with academic institutions and/or research consultancies where possible so to elicit external perspectives and scrutiny of the charity’s work.

25. Build relationships with local stakeholders and businesses.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential requirements

1. Senior management experience within the charity sector or similar

2. Experience of working at a senior level with and under the direction of a board of trustees

Chief Executive Officer, Remote, 35 hrs Salary £90,097

GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.

This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. Working closely with the Director of Services, the successful candidate will aid in the identification, management and acquisition of opportunities that will enable PBHA’s strategic growth. The role will help to ensure that PBHA’s work, and homes, meet building standards, health and safety obligations, regulatory framework, and will always provide a high-quality service to PBHA tenants.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Spearhead line-management of PBHA’s Property and Development Team through performance management and handling employee relations issues if necessary.
• Organise and coordinate work programmes. 
• Lead Housing Development programmes ensuring compliance with building standards, health and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the recruitment, selection, induction and onboarding of team members.  
• Participate in on-call rota and respond appropriately to out of hours incidents.
• Provide strategic and operational direction to enhance the long-term management and investment objectives of the property portfolio.
• Ensure PBHA’s assets are surveyed and data records are established and upheld to monitor property condition.
• Oversee and manage stock improvement and maintenance programmes, ensuring that they meet service standards and agreed budgets.
• As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, present to Board and Services Committee, offering recommendations in accordance with the Asset Management Strategy.
• Develop high quality policies, procedures and systems relating to Property and Development Service.
• Advise tenants and other PBHA teams on strategy and future policy implementation.
• Propose appropriate partnership development opportunities to the Senior Leadership Team.
• Monitor and evaluate service delivery, collating information for monthly, quarterly and annual performance metrics.
• Respond proactively to complaints regarding services, staff and contractors.
• Develop and implement new procedures in response to legislation changes and emerging best practice.
• Aid team in creating and maintaining good working relations with landlords, contractors and professional consultants.

Person specification:

• Experience delivering and improving Repairs and Maintenance Service, preferably for a Registered Provider or Charity.
• Substantial project or change management experience.
• Experience developing specifications for property related tenders and managing contracts.
• Revenue and Capital Budgets experience.
• Staff management experience.
• Building related qualification and professional body membership, e.g. RCIS/MCIOB, degree or HND in building management.
• Knowledge of project management, e.g. PRINCE 2/APM Techniques.
• Experience of housing development issues, funding, approaches and financing.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Prioritisation and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong IT and data management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Communication skills, specifically with stakeholders.

We’re pleased to be working with a social welfare charity who are looking for an Executive Assistant to join their team. You will provide high-quality executive support to the Chief Executive and President – including diary management, Board administration, database management and data protection.
You’ll be able to provide a variety of Board administration, including arranging and preparing for Board meetings, assisting with communications and taking and producing minutes. You will also provide day to day HR support and perform a number of office management tasks. This is a varied role with plenty of responsibility and the ideal candidate would be a proactive problem solver, finding positive solutions to challenges. As an Executive Assistant, you will need:

• Significant experience of providing executive level support

• Skills in proactively managing complex diaries, logistics and travel arrangements

Location: London- Hybrid
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 (FTE), Part Time - £19,800 - £21,000
Contract: Permanent- (part time- 21 hours (3 days) pw)
