We are looking for an interim Head of Public Fundraising to lead and manage the Public Fundraising function at Battersea to achieve targets, deliver exemplary supporter experience and maximise income in line with the Income Generation strategy whilst adhering to Battersea’s high standards of compliance. They will manage the delivery of sustainable income and achieve income growth in line with Battersea’s organisational strategy through the implementation of the Public Fundraising strategy, budgets and operational plans.

About the role
This role is a job-share working with an existing Executive Assistant who is spending part of her time supporting the Director of Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns (PPC) and the PPC department. This role entails working with a wide range of groups internal and external to Christian Aid. The role will support the Director, taking on key pieces of work, including minutes taking and report of meetings, assisting with email, liaising with colleagues and other assistants, coordinating hosted events and stakeholder lists, planning logistics, booking travel and accommodation, editing and proofreading documents, conducting research, scheduling appointments and other administrative tasks, as appropriate.

Mile End Climbing Wall (MECW) is the trading name of the charity Development through Challenge (DtC).
Development through Challenge started life as a charity called North London Rescue Commando (NLRC), set up when London was at threat of flood. They moved to the current site from North London, where they had started as a small water sports centre. In the mid-1980s a change in focus led to the formation of Mile End Climbing Wall. It became the climbing wall in London and one of the first climbing walls in England. In 1997 NLRC changed its name to Development through Challenge.
Since then, we have been providing East London and UK climbing communities with high quality climbing and associated facilities that are available to everyone regardless of ability to pay, physical ability, or skill-level. We organise training and challenges that improve people’s wellbeing.
Responsible to the Operations Manager, this position will work with the Senior Managers, Trustees and CEO, to deliver the strategic plan for marketing and communications and manage their operational implementation - including on and offline campaigns, internal and external communications, publications, digital activities, events and PR to raise awareness of brand and reputation and maximise customer and community engagement.

We’re looking for a Research Manager who combines exceptional ability in research and report-writing, with a real passion for (and experience in) peacebuilding. The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. As you would expect the role is about creating contacts, networking, maximising the face-to-face time with prospective partners and where possible gaining referrals. Role Overview:
As the People Business Partner, you’ll report to the Director of People, Finance, and Governance. You will lead on setting up and delivering a value-added people centric business partnering service. The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a pioneering Human Rights charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers who are the survivors of trafficking and torture, including gender-based and ‘honour-based’ violence. Recognising the complexity of each client’s suffering and needs, the Foundation provides specialist medical consultation, therapeutic care, legal protection and practical support to survivors of human rights violations by helping men, women and children heal the emotional and physical damage they have suffered through torture, trafficking or other forms of cruelty. Since August 2020, Asylum Aid has been part of the Helen Bamber Foundation Group. Asylum Aid operates as an independent charity, led by its own Executive Director within the group structure, and is ambitious about growing its impact and reach in the future to ensure protection from persecution for those who need it. For over thirty years, Asylum Aid has been providing legal representation to some of the most vulnerable people seeking asylum. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Head of People is a new role for the organsiation and you will be joining us at an exciting time, as we are moving into new offices and seek to drive forward our new 2025-2030 strategy. This role will play a pivotal role in implementing our objective to be an employer of choice. maintaining and evolving our strong team culture, and strengthening our position as leader in evidence based management and leadership practices. In this role you will be supported to develop the capacity, capability and human resource systems of the organisation to achieve impact at scale with a strong and effective team and will work in close collaboration with the CEO, the members of the Executive Leadership Team and Management Team as well as the Senior HR and Operations Officer.

Person specifications
The Monitoring & Rights Manager should hold a Master's Degree in law, anthropology, or international development, with 3 to 5 years of project management experience in charity or international development. Fluency in English and French is required, with a strong grasp of forest governance and human rights issues, particularly in West and Central Africa.
Essential skills include leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, and financial management, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Personal attributes include a commitment to defending human rights, cultural sensitivity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Willingness to travel up to 16 weeks per year, including to remote areas, is necessary.
