Barnardo's is looking for a data analyst with good Power BI skills and a passion for the charity sector to join our Analytics team in Digital, Data and Technology. The Analytics team is a central function providing insight, information and data to the whole charity in all functional areas. This includes interactive reports, ad-hoc pieces of analysis and consultation on other teams' analytical work. We use Power BI, traditional statistical techniques, economic theory and advanced data science models to influence decisions both internally and in the wider sector.

Working as a Data Analyst here would give you the opportunity to help us achieve Barnardo's mission by exercising responsible stewardship over our analytical output and enabling our colleagues to make well-informed decisions. You will:

• Develop our existing Power BI suite to better serve the needs of our stakeholders.
• Conduct and advise on pieces of analysis in all domains.

Who we're looking for:

• Minimum 1 year of Power BI experience. In particular, experience writing measures and calculated columns, and working with semantic models.

• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities either from experience or higher education.
• Great communication, written and verbal, with stakeholders at all levels of seniority and technical expertise.

About the role                                                                                                                                                                        We’re excited to be recruiting a Senior Finance Analyst – Programmes to play a key role in supporting the financial delivery of WWF-UK’s programmes and donor-funded work. Sitting within the Financial Planning and Analysis team, this role works closely with colleagues across Programmes, Partnerships and Income Generation to provide clear financial insight, support effective decision-making and ensure strong stewardship of restricted funds.

You will provide financial analysis, forecasting and reporting across a diverse portfolio of projects, working collaboratively with programme teams, corporate and public sector partners, and philanthropy colleagues. The role combines technical financial expertise with strong relationship building, helping non-finance colleagues feel confident managing budgets while ensuring donor requirements and organisational standards are met.

This is a collaborative, forward-looking role that supports WWF-UK’s matrix ways of working. You will help strengthen financial processes, improve clarity around programme finances and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring our programmes are both financially robust and impactful for people and nature.

Skills and experience                                                                                                                                                              You’ll bring the following skills and experience to succeed in this role:

Essential

· Part-qualified or qualified accountant, or equivalent experience gained in a financial analysis or business partnering role.

· Experience supporting programme or project-based budgets, including forecasting, reporting and financial analysis.

· Strong experience preparing financial information for non-finance stakeholders and providing clear, supportive challenge where needed.

· Experience working with restricted funding or donor reporting requirements.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work to recurring deadlines.

· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to explain financial information clearly and simply.

· Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work across teams and in a matrix environment.

· Comfortable working with financial systems and data, maintaining accurate records and supporting process improvements.

Desirable

· Experience supporting bid development or budget setting for funded programmes or partnerships.

· Experience working in the charity, international development or conservation sector.

· Understanding of working within a global network or multi-partner environment.

About the Role

This is a specialist position within a growing Service Charge team, focused on managing the full Section 20 statutory consultation process. You will take ownership of consultations from start to finish, ensuring all notices, communications and documentation meet legislative requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading Section 20 statutory consultation processes in line with Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002
• Issuing notices, logging follow ups and responding to observations within required timeframes
• Reconciling final major works costs and communicating outcomes to residents within statutory deadlines
• Issuing invoices for works within the 18 month recovery period
• Managing resident queries and providing clear guidance on legal requirements
• Working closely with Homeownership, Technical Services, Procurement, Estate Services, Finance and Service Charge teams
• Identifying non recoverable costs and escalating potential risks
• Maintaining accurate records on internal systems and supporting financial reconciliations

You will play a vital role in protecting income recovery while ensuring residents are fully consulted and informed.

• Experience of Section 20 consultation processes, compliance and service charge administration
• Strong knowledge of leasehold legislation including Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002
• Understanding of First tier Tribunal applications relating to dispensation and service charge disputes
• Excellent numerical skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
