Interim Head of Training

Interim contract, 4–6 months, three to five days per week
Remuneration: £50,861 to £55,189 per annum, pro rata
Location: Predominantly Home Based, with occasional days on-site in Central London office

About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced training and development leader to join a charity working to improve the lives and futures of children and young people.

This is an exciting interim opportunity to lead the operational delivery and further development of an established professional training programme, while supporting the charity's ambitions to extend its reach, develop new partnerships and generate income through its training offer.

About the role
You will provide operational oversight of the Training Team, ensuring effective programme delivery and supporting the charity's wider training, income and strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Team leadership and programme delivery

• Ensuring training quality and compliance

• Overseeing systems and processes

• Planning and resourcing

About you
We are looking for an experienced training, learning and development or programme delivery professional with:

• Experience leading and managing a training or learning and development function, including overseeing teams, workloads and programme delivery.

• A track record of delivering high-quality professional development or training programmes.

• An understanding of quality assurance and assessment processes, ideally within a recognised qualification framework.

• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to introduce systems and improve operational processes.

• The ability to contribute to strategic development, particularly around income generation, growth and scaling service delivery.

Above all, you will be a collaborative and commercially minded leader, able to combine effective operational management with a strategic approach to developing and growing a training offer.
