Job Purpose
To lead and oversee the delivery of TLC: Talk, Listen, Change’s charitable income generation and fundraising function, driving sustainable income growth through a diverse portfolio of opportunities including commissioning, grant applications, charitable trusts and foundations and fundraising activity. The Head of Development will carry out a mixed role, primarily consisting of informing the strategy, supervising the team and supporting them to secure income - while also directly creating some high-value / high-stakes submissions themselves. The role will play a key part in shaping and delivering the organisation’s growth ambitions, ensuring a strong and balanced pipeline across statutory, commissioned and voluntary income streams. As part of TLC’s Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will act as a senior advisor on charitable income generation opportunities and contribute to the wider strategic direction of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Contribution
- Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team of TLC: Talk, Listen, Change, contributing to organisational strategy, growth and long-term sustainability.
- Work alongside the Group Director of Partnerships and Development and other senior leaders to shape and deliver TLC’s development and charitable income generation strategy.
- Act as a senior advisor on development, funding and growth of charitable income sources for the organisation.
- Take a lead role in fostering a culture of ambition, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Development and Income Generation
- Lead the team to deliver focused and successful development activity across TLC, ensuring a strong and sustainable pipeline of opportunities across: Tenders / commissioning (including pre-market engagement such as soft market testing, actual submissions including PQQs, ITTs, framework applications and presentations / interviews) Charitable trusts and foundations, Grants, Fundraising, Corporate relationships
- Work closely with our: Group Head of Marketing and Communications to create and run exciting, engaging campaigns and projects which grow awareness of and support for TLC, ultimately leading to increased income, Director of Finance To ensure budgets are accurate and bids appropriately costed, Director and Heads of Services To ensure we can deliver safely, securely and effectively, Director of Partnerships and Development To ensure strategic alignment and relationships.
- Ensure a detailed understanding of all tender specifications including a thorough assessment of the implications and requirements of TLC within each opportunity.
- Ensure all submissions are high quality, aligned to TLC values and priorities.
- Work closely with service leads and partnerships colleagues to identify, scope and develop new opportunities.
Leadership and Management
- Provide strong leadership to the Development team, including line management of Development Managers.
- Support a high-performing, collaborative team culture aligned to TLC behaviours and values.
- Ensure effective performance management, supervision, and development of staff (including one-to-ones, appraisals and team meetings).
Performance, Planning and Delivery
- Lead the development and delivery of a clear development plan aligned to organisational strategy.
- Monitor and report on development and fundraising performance, ensuring a data informed approach to decision-making.
- Provide delegated budget management for development and fundraising activity.
- Ensure smooth transition from development activity to service mobilisation, working closely with operational teams.
External Relationships and Profile
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders and partners with regard to charitable income generation opportunities.
- Represent TLC at external forums, networks and events, contributing to sector influence and profile. Governance and Ways of Working

- Contribute to organisational planning cycles, board reporting and strategic development processes.

The role
This role is within the Programmes and Partnerships team, which secures and manages funding from institutional funders. As a Programme Manager, you will lead day-to-day delivery and management of FIGO projects across the full project cycle. This will include the Advocating for Safe Abortion (ASA) programme, a multi-country initiative now in its seventh year, working with national professional societies of obstetricians and gynecologists across Francophone West Africa to drive change in policy, clinical practice and societal attitudes on abortion care. This is complex, multi-partner work in a politically sensitive area. It requires judgement, strong relationships, and the ability to hold both the detail and the bigger picture. We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven experience of managing institutionally funded projects in global health or international development, across the full project lifecycle.
- Experience managing advocacy-focused projects and working with a diverse range of partners across multiple countries.
- Strong skills in financial management, donor reporting and partner coordination.
- Experience developing and implementing monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks on projects.
- Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken) — essential for this role.
- Familiarity with sexual and reproductive health and rights, or experience working in West Africa, is a strong advantage.
This is a part-time role at 3 days per week, initially contracted until January 2029. FIGO's Programmes and Partnerships portfolio is growing, and we anticipate opportunities to extend or expand the role beyond that.

The Learning & Development Officer is responsible for working closely with the Director of People & Organisational Development in supporting the design, delivery and development of the education and training across the hospice group.
They will coordinate and organise all in house and external training programmes, maintain accurate records, monitor compliance and support a learning culture across St Giles. They will provide full support for preparing documentation, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and deadlines are met.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with delivering learning sessions, handling and dealing with all requests that come through the L&D department, supporting with data, audit, evaluations and coordinating all invoices.
They will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth, efficient delivery of St Giles learning and development initiatives to ensure we remain compliant through regulatory standards and frameworks.
The role will also maintain effective working relationships across the hospice to support efficient service delivery.

We are looking for a talented Research and Development Officer to join our children and families team at Research in Practice. In this role you will develop and deliver accessible content and learning activities that promote evidence-informed practice and policy across child and family social care, youth and family justice as part of our annual delivery programme for our partners. The successful candidate will have experience designing and delivering resources, workshops, webinars, and events for a range of audiences, including senior leaders.

While the position requires engagement with and understanding of research, it is not a primary research role.
Key responsibilities are:

- Leading the development and delivery of concise, accessible content and learning activities to enable the development of evidence-informed practice and policy in the sector.

Contract: Permanent
Work Pattern: Part Time, 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
Salary: £34,408 per annum, FTE (£27,526 per annum for 28 hours per week), with annual salary increments for the first three years
Location: Homebased – however NCB and RiP has offices in Sheffield, Newton Abbot and Belfast that staff can work from should they choose.
The Vacancy
For over 20 years, Research in Practice has been at the forefront of supporting evidence-informed practice in adult social care. We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Research and Development Officer to join our adults’ team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled facilitator with strong experience in adult social care (or a related sector, e.g. housing, homelessness, mental health or criminal justice) who is motivated to make a real impact. While the role requires a solid understanding of research and its application, it is not a primary research post—instead, the focus is on translating evidence into meaningful learning and development opportunities.
You will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality learning experiences, including programmes, full-day workshops, webinars, and events, working with diverse audiences such as senior leaders and practitioners.

- Designing and delivering engaging learning and development activities for a range of audiences
- Translating complex research, policy, and legal frameworks into accessible, practical learning
- Developing high-quality outputs (e.g. publications, tools, and learning resources)
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and supporting collaborative projects
- Managing multiple projects effectively in a varied and fast-paced environment
About you
We are looking for someone who brings:
- In-depth knowledge of adult social care, or related sectors such as criminal justice, housing and homelessness, or mental health
- Experience in facilitation and delivering learning, including workshops and webinars
- A strong understanding of research, policy, and practice frameworks
- Skills in knowledge mobilisation, with a passion for co-production and evidence implementation
- Proven experience in relationship management
- Excellent communication skills, including confident public speaking
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibly (including occasional travel and overnight stays)

Location: The role is national, managing teams in Northern Ireland, Wales and across England. You will need to be able to work at one of our BookTrust offices in London, Leeds, Belfast or Cardiff for an average of 8 days per month whilst some of these collaboration days may be worked in partner locations, at events or stakeholder meetings in any part of the country. You may have charity or statutory setting experience, and will have the ability to set out a strategic direction for partnerships team members as well as being hands on in developing new relationships to support our work as well as being able to produce high quality written materials, analyse complex data and respond dynamically to a changing external landscape.
You will be an excellent communicator who manages up effectively and who is comfortable working across a matrixed managed team. You will have the ability to work closely with the Director of Partnerships in building relationships, and developing and delivering on strategies that support impact in our early years programmes by guiding the work of our partnerships team. You will be working closely with key role holders such as but not confined to the Head of Partnerships Delivery, and Head of Programme for Vulnerable Children.
The Head of Partnerships Development will ensure increasingly effective pathways to families by setting out ways of working that ensure delivery teams can access these routes, influence decision makers and develop and build the right relationships for greatest impact. Along with the Director of partnerships the role holder will aim to both influence and respond to central, local and regional policy initiatives in the sector to support BookTrust’s mission to get all children reading, especially those from low income and vulnerable family backgrounds.
The role holder will ensure internal stakeholders are briefed on the local government landscape and that risks and opportunities are clearly articulated.
This work spans the organisation – from within our partnerships team to our research and impact, communications and external affairs, design and innovation, growth planning, communications, profile-raising and income generation – and requires strong collaborative working to draw on skills and capacity in all these areas.
The role will work internally and externally to ensure the right inputs to ensure success for our scaled programmes, supporting everything from design to upskilling our team and relationship building across the local government and regional and country landscape.

1- Purpose:
The Talent Acquisition and People Development Specialist is responsible for managing, improving and providing direction on Right To Play’s global recruitment, selection, and people development processes and initiatives to ultimately help build our reputation as an employer of choice for talented individuals pursuing careers with purpose.
2- Accountability & Responsibilities:
Recruitment Strategy Lead - 35 %
- Advise on candidate assessments, interview strategies and other steps in the recruitment process to ensure candidates skills and experience are fully assessed and internal candidates are given opportunities for professional advancement.
- Lead the enhancement of recruitment strategies to meet unit and organizational goals.
- Responsible directly for full-cycle recruitment in HQs, Indigenous Programs, National Offices and selected roles in Country Offices as required.
- Provide guidance and support to the Global People & Culture (P&C) and the Global Leadership Team (GLT) team to tailor best practice to local context, maintaining consistency, transparency and safeguarded recruitment processes: define selection criteria, develop hiring profiles, source top talent through diverse channels.
Talent Acquisition and Employer brand- 20%
- Design and manage global talent acquisition strategy including recruitment and selection processes, sourcing strategies
- Serve as the primary administrator for Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and drive enhancements to system functionality and user experience.
- Develop innovative strategies to enhance employer branding in collaboration with key stakeholders such as Marketing & Communications, P&C Global Collogues and Unit Leads.

- Collaborate with local teams to align onboarding practices with organizational standards, including mandatory training and policy acknowledgement while adapting to regional needs, to create a seamless and engaging experience for new employees.
Learning and Development –35%
- Coordinate the development and implementation of RTP Annual Learning and Development Agenda in collaboration with P&C Team, functions leads and external providers.
- Support people managers in determining training needs of their teams for HQs, IP and NOs;
- Serve as the primary administrator for Learning Management System (LMS), optimize system functionality and user experience; and support departmental leads update their material and fully utilize this tool.
- Coordinate the global training activities offered to all staff including the learning week
- Coordinate talent mapping for the SMT and Specialist roles at CO level working closely with the CDs & ET.
Perform other duties as assigned

Leads on attraction, recruitment and L&D across RTP. Provides direct recruitment support to HQs and NOs. Provides support and guidance to Global P&C staff on recruitment and learning and development. Identifies and manages potential risks within the recruitment process, ensuring timely escalation to the CPCO when necessary.
4- Leadership and Staff management
Provides recruitment advice and support to the Global P&C Team, unit leads, hiring managers on recruitment and L&D.
5- Information requirement for decision-making
Gathers information from leadership and hiring managers to ensure recruitment strategies are relevant and aligned with unit and organizations goals. Most information is available through internal resources. Analyzes relevant recruitment and L&D trends, market conditions and insights to support informed decision-making throughout the recruitment process and L&D activities across the full organization.
6- Innovation and Improvements
Proactively gathers market intelligence from across the INGO sector and beyond, to gain a competitive edge in sourcing, assessing, attracting and developing RTP workforce. Integrates improvements into relevant policies and practice.
7- Relationships & Communications: Internal / External
Internal – Unit leads, hiring managers, HQ P&C and Global P&C Team members, internal candidates
External – Candidates, recruitment firms, vendors, L&D consultants and professional networks
8- Expertise (Certifications / Education, Professional Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, talent management or similar.
- Excellent understanding of and experience in full cycle recruitment processes and adult learning methodologies and channels.
- 6 years experience as a Talent Acquisition and People’s development management in a multi-country organization, including managing a portfolio of countries.
- Well networked with direct experience recruiting internationally in at least 3 of the following: Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, and/or Middle East
- Advanced knowledge and hands of experience of effective hiring platforms and learning management systems such as Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Learning Management System (LMS).
- Experience in relationship building, collaboration and stakeholder engagement with diverse stakeholders to create awareness of the organization’s brand.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Fluency in additional languages such as Arabic and French is an asset.
