Centrepoint help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Our aim is, with the help of our partners, to end youth homelessness by 2037.

We are looking for an experienced people manager for our Skills Development team. This team creates and delivers internal training for Centrepoint colleagues. This role will lead a small team of trainers who design and deliver training both under an existing curriculum and new developments as demand requires. We are ideally looking for a manager with a background in Health & Social care, Social Housing, local authority, charity sector and/or delivering and developing training.

What you’ll be doing

The Skills Development Manager is responsible for a team who are developing a robust, diverse, inclusive and inspiring curriculum across the organisation. We are developing a large amount of new and exciting courses across a wide range of subjects, so we are open to individuals with a variety of experience. To ensure colleagues are suitability supported the role holder will be responsible for liaising with managers, HR and other functions to ensure that team members have access to training that fits around organisational requirements and that all team members are safe and competent.

The role will also include elements of operational management such as ensuring a demand lead programme of training, reporting to demonstrate progress and highlight areas of focus, processing invoices, supporting staff completing external apprenticeships and external stakeholder management.

What’s in it for you

Working remotely – Like to work from home? No worries, our team is spread out all around the world. However, for this role we are seeking someone who lives in the UK and a commutable distance to London for team meet-ups, client meetings and attending events.

As the Senior Development Manager, you will be responsible for securing income from trusts and foundations. This will include building relationships with an existing portfolio of donors, as well as researching and bringing on new trust and foundation relationships for the organisation. This role will focus on securing six and seven-figure grants from these relationships and build long lasting partnerships.

To be successful as the Senior Development Manager, you will have proven experience in securing income from trusts and foundations, ideally at the six-figure level. You will be able to evidence excellent relationship building skills and be able to produce compelling grant proposals. This role is joining a growing team, and this person will need to work both collaboratively, as well as independently to grow new relationships externally and internally.  

This role is a permanent full-time position that will have hybrid working in the London offices two days per week. The salary for this role is £45,000 to £52,500.
