Job description

Supported Living Manager

AN AMAZING NEW OPPORTUNITY
LEONARD CHESHIRE WILL SOON BE OPENING OUR EXCITING NEW SERVICE IN CHURCH STREET, ALFRETON, WHICH WILL BE A SPECIALIST SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICE.


Full time, the pay rate includes 15% uplift for holding the service registration, the starting salary would be £27,922 and will rise to £32,107 once registered

You will assist in setting up a brand new service including assessments and staff recruitment.

As our Supported Living Manager, you will ensure a well-run service, responsible for providing the highest standards of care and support. You will promote independence and choice to our customers in line with our vision and mission. This service will include a range of needs including enhanced & complex needs as well as some independent flats.

Responsible for holding registration of the service, you will line manage a dedicated staff team, providing great leadership and clear direction.

Other duties include

• Financial, health and safety management to fulfil our statutory obligations.
• Implement systems and procedures designed to promote positive outcomes for disabled people.
• Ensure regulatory bodies requirements are implemented, monitored and maintained.
• Recruitment, selection and on-going training, development and performance of staff.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent, or willing to work towards this.
• Substantial experience of operating in a supervisory or management capacity in a care environment.
• To work flexibly in accordance with rostered hours.
• Experience and skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders and managing a budget.
• A thorough understanding of assessing personal support needs, able to write and review comprehensive personalised support plans.
