LUX is seeking an exceptional Deputy Director to help lead its next chapter. This new senior role, created to strengthen internal capacity, operational resilience, and strategic delivery, will work closely with the recently appointed Director, Ali Roche, to shape and implement a vision for the organisation’s future. Overseeing operational and financial management, the Deputy Director will bring a broad skillset across finance, operations, HR, fundraising, legal, and governance to ensure LUX’s long-term success.

Key Information:

Job Title: Deputy Director
Hours: 5 days a week (35 hours)
Salary: £45,000 pro-rata

The Deputy Director main responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures, and risk management aligned with organisational values and Arts Council Investment Principles.
• Co-lead the business plan and long-term strategy with the Director, translating goals into operational delivery.
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting, audits, payroll, procurement, cash flow, statutory reporting, and fundraising and income generation strategies, ensuring compliance and value for money.
• Prepare and submit quarterly and annual reports to public funders, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure legal and governance compliance across charity, company, employment, safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection; support the Board of Trustees with reports and governance documentation.
• Manage operations, including admin systems, IT, building maintenance, insurance, accessibility, sustainability, and lease compliance.
• Lead HR processes: recruitment, contracts, onboarding, appraisals, staff development, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace with HR consultant support.
• Contribute to LUX’s success and culture, upholding our values and supporting an inclusive environment.

Providence Row has been supporting homeless and vulnerably housed people since 1860. For homeless people, or those at risk of homelessness, finding employment and housing opportunities can feel like an uphill battle, even more so if they’re affected by physical, mental health or substance misuse issues. About the role

• To account manage a portfolio of corporate donors. Ensuring regular communications with corporate partners through phone, e-mail and face to face meetings to ensure targets are met and strong, lasting relationships are developed.
• To assist with all levels of corporate administration, including; thank you letters; certificates; project reports; updating all correspondence and meeting information within the CRM database.
• Create and implement tailored stewardship plans to maintain and grow existing corporate relationships.
• Undertake appropriate research and briefing (for self and others) in preparation for initial meetings with potential corporate supporters, demonstrating agility and creativity along with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Providence Row’s organisational strategy and services offering when engaging with potential partners.
• To support with corporate volunteering activities both on and offsite, ensuring volunteers have an engaging and impactful experience.

We are looking for a skilled trust fundraising leader to take on the key role of Senior Trusts and Grants Manager, supporting our mission to help people rebuild their lives and end homelessness for good.

As Senior Trusts and Grants Manager, you’ll lead a thriving team of four, manage strategic funding relationships, and ensure ambitious income targets are achieved. You’ll also maintain your own portfolio of high-value funders, representing St Mungo’s with confidence and credibility.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value trusts and foundations to secure essential funding for our work.

Role Description

BASIC is seeking a motivated and dynamic Project Manager (Policy Fellow) to lead BASIC’s deliverables within our joint project with the Federation of the American Scientists (FAS): ‘From the Noise, the Signal’. 

The project investigates how emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs) pose credible threats and disrupt traditional assumptions regarding relative military advantages and disadvantages. One such assumption is the traditional dominance of hiders over seekers in the military domain which appears to be increasingly challenged by a package of EDTs. These technologies operate across military domains, including: outer space and the upper atmosphere, air, ground, sea surface, undersea, and cyber. Research has, however, not yet fully assessed EDTs collective impacts on hider-seeker dynamics, at a time where technologies are advancing faster than policy.

This joint FAS-BASIC project addresses this gap in both the research literature and policy discourse through collaboration with an interdisciplinary community of scientific, technical, and OSINT experts, to build a higher-resolution picture of the technological readiness according to the open-source.

This high-impact role offers the opportunity to deliver the research and manage the part of the project that covers sea-based dimensions. The second phase will bring the project’s sea- and land-based dimensions together, and assess the overall strategic implications of these technological advances for nuclear stability.

The Project Manager is expected to have a solid understanding of global security, nuclear nuclear issues, and expertise in EDTs and nuclear weapons issues demonstrated through a record of relevant (policy) research. The successful candidate will have experience with convening and leading high level dialogues  and experience with project delivery. 

The successful candidate will manage and lead the project’s delivery across several outputs, working closely with FAS partners.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

1. Project Delivery

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to: 

• Deliver high quality desk-based research. 

• Manage the project’s critical path and risk register, implementing mitigation plans as required.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements.

• Write high-quality, policy-relevant research reports, op-eds and briefings.

• Organise international roundtables, workshops and other events with track 1 and 2 participants.

• Manage relationships with stakeholders and build BASIC’s network and reputation.

• Independently represent BASIC at international meetings.

2. Fundraising

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to:

• Develop a project, by independently and confidently scoping funding opportunities.

• Liaise with the Programme Manager on funding priorities and opportunities.

• Manage projects with minimal day-to-day manager input.

• Develop new and existing relationships with funders.

• Write and edit funding applications.

3. Communications

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to:

• Collaborate with various stakeholders including international partners to build strong relationships.

• Facilitate dialogue and cooperation among diverse stakeholders.

• Promote our / their work confidently and internationally. 

• Confidently use online social media platforms, and if possible, press contacts.

4. Office support

Applicants will need to be able to support the running of the organisation and colleagues with a range of administrative tasks wherever required.

Role Requirements

Essential:  Educated to Master’s level – or demonstrate the equivalent in work experience

Essential:  7+ years of work experience in a think tank, research institute, NGO, foundation or government working on international security issues.

The role:  
This is a central role within the Foundation to manage, develop and maintain partnerships and programmes with national and international charities and corporate partners.

The person:  
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled at relationship management, collaboration and problem solving with a strong track record of developing and managing partnerships and programmes across a variety of stakeholders, building relationships with existing and new contacts at all levels, including Board and senior management level. You will be accountable for creating and delivering against large scale partnership plans and developing new activities, events, and activations in in collaboration with existing partners. The Individual Giving & Community Fundraising Manager will have an exciting opportunity to grow World Child Cancer’s individual giving. They will also lead on creating a donor experience that will ensure people can engage with us in lots of different ways, from a lottery or regular support, legacies, community fundraising and events (including the London Marathon).

The post holder will be responsible for:

• Managing and growing individual giving.
• Recruiting and stewarding individual supporters through existing channels.
• Helping to secure funding to invest in launching a World Child Cancer charity lottery.
• Stewarding participants to build a pool of regular givers, medium level donors, legacy donors and event participants.
• Ensuring fundraising data is effectively managed, analysed and utilised.
• Managing the challenge and community fundraising. Supported by the Fundraising Executive.
• Supporting the Fundraising Executive responsible for the planning and logistics for fundraising events.
• Working collaboratively with the other Fundraising teams and Marketing to ensure supporters get the best experience.

This is a hands-on management role so you will need to be prepared to do the work as well as managing. The post holder will be an ambitious, creative self-starter who is passionate about World Child Cancer’s programmes as well as our fundraising activities. They will work as well in a team as they do on their own and be happy to undertake administrative tasks as well as more complex fundraising projects. As a smaller organisation (circa £3m) everyone has to be prepared to support each other, so tasks may vary.

MannionDaniels seeks a Project Officer to support the delivery of Gavi’s new fund to strengthen engagement with CSOs and local partners across 14 countries.

MannionDaniels has been contracted by Gavi to deliver this new funding mechanism which aims to:

i. Increase vaccination coverage and reduce zero dose and under-immunised children.

ii. Set up grant/contract schemes with CSOs and local partners that are results-focused, cost-effective and provide value for money.

iii. Strengthen the capacity of CSOs and local partners to implement contracts/grants effectively and efficiently.

iv. Contribute to a conducive partnership, a joint vision and clarified collaboration modalities between governments, and civil society and local partners,

v. Help roll out HPV vaccination; and

Robustly evaluate the contracts/grant with CSOs and local partners to capture learning and ensure course correction as required.
