We are recruiting a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our fundraising team. The post holder will be responsible for raising income from medium and large trusts and foundations giving five and six-figure grants.
We are looking for someone with significant experience working in trusts and foundations fundraising, with a keen interest in our work to get children back in school and ready to learn. This role would suit someone who is looking to take the next step in their career. Additional support undertaking direct line management for the first time will be available if required.
This is an exciting time to join the team, with the opportunity to build on your current portfolio of existing and warm Trusts, some of which have supported School-Home Support for a number of years. You will need to be a confident, approachable individual with the ability to manage a busy, varied workload. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Director reports directly to the Trustee Board and is responsible for the following:
1. Working with the Trustees
- Overall vision and mission setting: Developing the use of the services and the building and increase the impact of Ivy Street for the benefit of the local community.
- Fundraising: Raising funds from a variety of sources to ensure the long term financial security of the charity, particularly focussing on rental income from the facility.
- Financial: Overseeing finance (with the assistance of a Trustee Treasurer) and ensuring that regular, accurate financial reports are provided to the Trustees and accurate records are kept, and providing an Annual Report for the annual accounts.
- Compliance: Ensuring that all legal requirements are met:

2. Day to Day Responsibilities

- Overseeing staff and the activity programme.

East End Homes, is a locally based and community-led housing association in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. This year East End Homes is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The newly created Financial Controller position offers a rare opportunity for a technically strong, ambitious, and commercially aware finance professional to play a key role in reshaping East End’s finance function and influencing decision-making at a senior level. The Financial Controller will be a member of the Senior Management Team and this role is seen as a natural stepping stone toward Finance Director level within the sector.
The Role:
- Work closely with the Finance Director and Executive Team to support strategic planning and organisational transformation.
- Oversee the development and delivery of Eastend Homes’ long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and business modelling (including BRIXX).
- Deliver and embed a proactive finance business partnering approach across the organisation, influencing decision-making and performance management.

Person Specification – Essential:

About the Role
A core strand of the charity’s offering works to help adults build the skills, knowledge, confidence and behaviours to manage their money well. We do this by delivering Financial Wellbeing Workshops, Webinars, Specialist Programmes, Consultancy projects and through distribution of our Money Manual. The Opportunity
The EdTech Evidence Lead will play a key role in delivering one of our key projects, focusing on EdTech Evidence. Drawing on their experience and knowledge of EdTech, they will support EdTech companies and educators to build understanding about gathering and evaluating evidence for different EdTech products. They will develop guidance and materials to facilitate this, and work with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to develop resources, systems and processes that aim to promote and recognise ‘high-quality’ evidence around EdTech.
Main responsibilities include:
- Developing tools and resources to support individuals and organisations to engage with, and in, gathering and evaluating evidence around EdTech
- Developing guidance and training which helps EdTech companies plan and carry out evidence-gathering activities for their products and prepares them to submit evidence for formal review
- Contributing to the development and delivery of processes and systems for formally reviewing EdTech evidence
- Build relationships with EdTech companies and other key stakeholders to understand their use of evidence relating to EdTech and engage them with the project
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders to promote the use of EdTech evidence and seek input into the design and development of key project deliverables
- Representing the project externally to promote engagement with both the project, and with EdTech evidence generally

Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic and relationship-driven Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager to lead on growing and stewarding First Give’s portfolio of high-value funders. This role will focus on securing income from High Net Worth Individuals and developing corporate partnerships – from first engagement to account management and delivery.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping First Give’s income growth, working closely with our Deputy Director. This role will also support key engagement activities, including hosting donors at student-led Final events and facilitating employee volunteering at schools.
