We are looking for a new HR Officer to help support and develop our HR functions within the organization. You will play a central role in ensuring our HR services are excellent, including recruitment, onboarding, appraisal and learning and development. This key role will help maintain a positive and inclusive environment for everyone at Green Alliance.  

To succeed, you will need to have a good understanding of HR practices and process, ideally within a small or medium sized organisation. You will be well organised and possess strong administrative skills.

The role involves working with and liaising with colleagues at all levels within the organization and requires you to build effective and positive relationships. We are collaborative and you should enjoy working in a range of different areas looking at ways in which our processes can develop and be improved.

The nature of the role means that you will be dealing with considerable amounts of confidential and sensitive information. It is imperative that you possess and demonstrate discretion and sound judgment at all times.

Ideally you will possess some knowledge of working within human resources in an office environment and be familiar and comfortable working with modern IT systems such as MS Office. Any knowledge of HR systems would be advantageous.

Summary of the role:

This role is crucial in supporting the Head of Strategy in developing the organisational strategy and operational plans, making sure that everything stays on track.

This will include assisting in monitoring the progress of strategic planning, planning workshops to facilitate internal communication and learning, but also supporting in routineday-to-day tasks including scheduling, managing the flow of, filing, archiving and securing of important/confidential information, facilitating smooth and effective communication with relevant stakeholders and by providing administrative support on small-scale projects.

We need someone who is a quick learner, proactive, and can adapt quickly. Your work directly impacts the future strategic direction of Muslim Aid.

About the Role:

1. Assist in the development and implementation of organisational strategies and plans.
2. Support in the monitoring of key deliverables against identified indicators in the operationalisation of the strategy, including effective coordination with relevant departments to ensure milestones are met.
3. Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.

The Project Officer (Strategic Data and Measurement Analyst) is an important new role at the Diocese, as you will provide a comprehensive understanding of our data sets to afford context and insight to the Deaneries, parishes and the Diocese which will help develop projects and programmes to drive growth in church attendance.

This role would suit someone who is an excellent and inquisitive administrative professional looking to expand into the field of data analysis.

As Project Officer, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of all types of datasets available within the Diocese, including demographic data, attendance records, retention statistics and financial records, whilst identifying and implementing appropriate tools and methodologies for collecting and analysing new data insights.

An integral member of the Strategy Team and reporting to the Strategic Programme Manager, you will lead data analysis work for projects as needed, providing statistical expertise and composing narrative insights for project reports to inform decision making, support funding cases and investment requests.

Acting as a point of contact between the project office and other stakeholders, you will provide coordination and support as needed to ensure the smooth implementation of projects. You will also assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and documenting minutes, ensuring timely progress and effective communication within the team and with external partners.

In addition, you will represent the Strategic Programme Manager at project reviews, contributing to discussions and decision-making processes as needed.

Educated to degree level in a related subject or with equivalent experience, you should have familiarity with a variety of ways of presenting complex data clearly and be able to manage and organise a range of datasets from multiple sources to enable analysis, presentation and the identification of synergies.

Your enquiring mind and careful approach to manipulating and mining data to create insights and information, along with your ability to interpret data through an understanding of the project’s context, will ensure you are able to frame the questions that matter.

A high degree of IT literacy including use of Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools and a working knowledge of databases, along with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills and a creative ability to deliver insights in clear and accessible written, verbal and visual media formats are essential.

Experience of using Business Intelligence tools and familiarity with basic project management principles would be desirable, as would being sympathetic with the mission and ethos of the Christian Church, the Church of England, the Diocese of Canterbury and the vision and values of our church schools.

The Communications department at Alzheimer’s Research UK informs, inspires and engages the public about dementia and the progress being made in research. This role sits within the Campaigns & Projects team, one of several specialist teams in the wider department.

The Communications and Content Officer will play a vital role in shaping and growing strategically important communications projects that aim to build understanding of dementia and support for research.

They will be responsible for maximising the impact of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s external news content and other digital comms activity to engage existing supporters and attract new ones. They will also assist managers across the Communications department in measuring the impact of communications activities.

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about driving the conversation on dementia forwards by creating engaging and exciting content across a range of channels.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Work with the Communications Manager – Campaigns & Projects on the planning and delivery of high-profile, cross-channel campaigns that cut across the organisation. 

· Writing engaging content across a broad range of channels, from social media posts to newsletters and reports.

· Working closely with colleagues in the Digital and Design teams to plan and manage multi-channel campaigns, with a particular focus on paid social media activity.

· Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance to internal teams and external stakeholders and partners.

· Monitoring relevant media coverage to identify stories and developments that could impact upon or provide opportunities for campaigns and projects.

Act as a central point of contact, coordinating the department’s input into key supporter-facing communications.

· Sourcing content and maintaining the department’s content calendar.

· Reviewing and editing content from teams across the charity, ensuring accuracy and consistency in language and key messages.

· Working with other teams to plan and schedule content, then evaluating its performance and reporting back to the wider Communications department. 

Manage and develop Alzheimer’s Research UK website’s news content, aiming to maximise engagement.

· Working with the wider Communications department to maintain a content calendar for the website’s news section.

· Creating and commissioning engaging digital content on a range of topics aligned with the charity’s organisational strategy.

· Working closely with internal teams and external agencies on technical web development projects.

· Acting as a guardian of the charity’s brand language and key messages.

· Using data to continually develop and improve content performance and engagement rates.

What we are looking for:

· A skilled writer and editor with both meticulous attention to detail and creative flair.

· Experience in distilling complex information into plain English.

· An understanding of and aptitude for digital copywriting.

· An understanding of how to adapt content for different audiences and channels.

· An understanding of how to evaluate the performance of content using data, including knowledge of analytics tools.

· Experience working in a communications role.

· Experience of writing and collating compelling content across a variety of channels.

· Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.

· Ability to build and manage strong relationships with colleagues of all levels and a variety of external partners.

· Enthusiasm for learning about and keeping up to date with developments in digital communications.

· A hard-working team player, with ability to use initiative.

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Our client Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA) is a housing association with charitable aims that create positive change in people’s lives. As well as homes and support, PBHA empowers people to learn, access work and discover their creative talents. Based in Hackney, Islington and Newham, PBHA work with people who are homeless, have mental ill health, learning difficulties and multiple needs. PBHA’s work enables people to move on and lead independent lives.

The role:

Housing Officers work within PBHA’s Housing Team to provide a quality housing management service to tenants with additional tenancy sustainment needs. Post holders will work from PBHA’s main office in Haggerston, with access to local offices where appropriate. However, most of the work will be in tenants’ homes in the community. The post holder will be issued the IT equipment necessary to facilitate mobile working.

Aims of the post

Housing Officers work with vulnerable tenants to enable them to sustain their tenancy and participate in their community.

Specific Responsibilities

• To be responsible for working a caseload of tenants within a locality.

• Identifying individual tenancy needs through assessment and an identified Housing Plan detailing risks, needs and move on plans.

• Regular contact with tenants as per plan.

• Provide a weekly housing management drop in at PBHA’s hubs.

• Ensure that tenants apply for benefits where eligible, and signpost tenants to information on how to maximise income

• Record and monitor any breaches of tenancy agreement and work proactively and within procedures to resolve them.

• Liaise with housing officers, the finance and adult learning departments to provide effective prevention and management of rent issues, escalating where necessary in accordance with arrears policy and standard operating procedures.

• Liaise with colleagues to ensure void targets are met and properties are let within agreed timescale.

• Assist in the moving in/out process.

• Ensure tenants understand their rights and responsibilities in their occupancy agreements.

• Deal with complaints, nuisance and tenancy disputes as they arise. Work with tenants to promote self-help and mediation approaches to dispute resolution and address and escalate in line with procedure.

• Inspect and order furniture, assisting tenants where they are able to do so.

• Recharge former tenants where applicable.

• Carry out regular building inspections, helping tenants to report repairs.

• Take pride in PBHA’s property and assets and encourage tenants to do so.

• Enforce the conditions of tenancy that enable PBHA to undertake urgent works such as gas servicing.

• Carry out H&S and fire checks and assessment, liaising closely with others to ensure that follow up actions are completed.

• Report safeguarding concerns as appropriate.

Customer Focused Services

• Promote and support tenants/participants to access PBHA’s participation and co-production opportunities.

• Adhere to lone-working procedures.

• To positively promote and signpost tenants and participants to report complaints in line with PBHA’s practice.

• To have a collaborative and co-operative approach towards resolving complaints, working with colleagues across teams and departments.

• To take collective responsibility for any shortfalls identified through complaints.

• To act within the Professional Standards for engaging with complaints as set by the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Team Responsibilities

• Providing a reception service at the office.

• Involvement in the selection and induction of new workers and volunteers.

• Taking part in planning the team’s work and the annual plan.

• Ensuring that proper records are kept and information is passed to other team members as necessary.

• To ensure that PBHA’s computerised and manual systems are accurately updated specifically in relation to contact with tenants and service users.

• To meet required standards and contract compliance o commissioning bodies where PBHA delivers a service.

General Responsibilities

• Participate in key meetings

• Contribute to policy development, income generation, strategic and annual planning, corporate and cross-team activities, external partnerships and promotional activities as required

• Promote, develop and support PBHA’s ethos, values and impact

Access Information 

The post is based at our Hubs. The Kingsland Hub site has one level and is accessible to wheelchair users. Clissold and Isledon Hubs have step-only access. The role involves travel within Hackney and Islington and working in tenants’ homes.

Accountability

The post holder is accountable to the Housing Coordinator (Supported Housing).

Main Conditions of Service

This is a part-time position. The post is for 18.75 hours per week. Duties will occasionally be carried out over evenings and some public holidays. Overtime is not paid but in line with Agile working, hours can be averaged out over a 2-week period. PBHA implements Agile working practices which are to be negotiated with the line manager.

Annual leave entitlement is 26 days per year (pro rata) plus normal bank holidays pro rata (inclusive of bank holidays). This will rise after each completed year of service to a maximum of 30 days (pro rata).

Salaries are revised each year. The starting salary for this post will be £30,285 pro rata (SCP 8-12).

The post holder will be auto enrolled to be a member of the organisation's contributory pension scheme if eligible.

In common with all posts at PBHA, confirmation of appointment is subject to a probationary period (6 months).

Who we are: Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid is a well-established, innovative and forward-thinking local domestic abuse service. We are seeking a self-motivated, flexible and experienced individual to join our dynamic team to help us deliver excellent services to vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse and be committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner.  

About the role:  We are seeking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Outreach Officer, who is passionate about working with vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse. You will work in both 1:1 and group settings, offering emotional, practical and welfare support.  You will be able to demonstrate a good awareness and understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on women, helping them to access their rights and understand their options.  You will provide information and support on issues such as abuse, counselling, housing, welfare benefits, legal rights and child protection and you will refer women to other agencies where necessary. Experience of working with support groups would be helpful.  You must be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

Location:  BCWA locations across Bromley & Croydon boroughs 

Wellbeing: As a trauma-informed charity we take mental health and wellbeing seriously. We offer clinical supervision to our frontline team, regular staff wellbeing sessions, use of our Employee Assistance Programme and an additional wellbeing platform which offers a range of advice and support.

Can you help St Mungo’s improve and develop how we communicate within the organisation?

As an Internal Communications Officer, you will work closely with the Head of Internal Communications and Senior Internal Communications Officer, as well as colleagues in the People team, to help develop and deliver engaging internal communications for staff supporting clients in a wide range of roles across the south and south west of England and in London.

You will play a key role in the delivery of our core internal communications which includes: 

• Managing the coordination and delivery of our regular staff newsletters and playing a key role in the management and development of our staff intranet.
• Day-to-day responsibility for our core channels and our content schedule, creating engaging content and support on a range of exciting projects including the planning and delivery of staff engagement events.
• Working with colleagues from across the organisation, providing expert advice and support on internal communications and engagement for wide-ranging projects and initiatives.
• Advising on how the organisation and colleagues can demonstrate our values in their work and promote a culture of mutual respect, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

About you

You will have demonstrable experience of working in a communications role, ideally working with an internal staff audience.

In addition you will;

• Have experience of writing and producing compelling communications in different formats for a range of offline and offline channels
• Be confident building positive relationships with colleagues to enhance and improve communications.
• Have strong project and time management skills with the ability to manage a busy and varied work programme.
• Have experience of developing and implementing engaging and creative internal communications campaigns, and experience of supporting or coordinating events, is also desirable.

Being a clear and confident communicator is also essential, as is confidence in using standard internal communications channels such as an intranet (or equivalent experience with a website or content management system).

Overview of the role

The Executive & HR Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that BRAC’s office in Europe operates efficiently and effectively to deliver its mission to support BRAC’s work. It is a broad role encompassing administrative, human resources, team internal comms, and governance support to the London office, reporting directly to the Executive Director but also working very closely with the wider senior management team and our board of trustees.

When people live with a complex condition like Parkinson’s, they need access to high quality local health and care services that meet their needs. To make that a reality, we work directly with the NHS to improve services for everyone with Parkinson’s across the UK. We’ll support people to make sure they get the best care possible.

We’ll educate non-specialist healthcare professionals so they better understand the condition. We’ll help people navigate the system and provide the information people need to demand better care. 

This is an exciting time for the Parkinson’s UK team in Wales. Following the publication of our new strategy, ‘Every Parkinson’s Journey’, we have embarked on a programme of investment and growth, including this new post.

About the role 

You’ll build relationships to influence improvement in care and support NHS services across Wales. You’ll work alongside Parkinson’s Nurses, Consultants, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Service Managers to support the development of Parkinson’s services in a way that reflects the things that matter most to people with Parkinson’s. You’ll also work with NHS staff and Parkinson’s UK colleagues to monitor and respond to threats to Parkinson's services and effect positive change to address them. 

You’ll use your quality improvement expertise to support health & care professionals with change projects and programmes, equipping them with the latest tools, resources, evidence and data to develop and improve services for people with Parkinson’s. 

 Finally, you’ll support a vibrant network of healthcare professionals across Wales via the Parkinson’s Excellence Network to share best practice, provide resources and education and drive improvements to services for people with Parkinson’s and their families.

What you’ll do:

• Support health and care service redesign and improvement projects in collaboration with clinicians, Parkinson’s UK staff and people living with Parkinson’s, drawing on the principles of co-production.

• Support NHS professionals to develop and implement service improvement plans, using the results of the 2022 UK Parkinson’s Audit as a lever. 

• Promote the funding opportunities available via the Parkinson’s Excellence Network and provide support where appropriate to the development of business cases and grant applications from NHS teams across Wales.

• Respond to threats to services in collaboration with the Wales Team, the UK-wide Service Improvement and Grants Team, people affected by Parkinson’s and health and care professionals.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience and expertise in service redesign and effecting change within health and / or social care.

• Knowledge of NHS and social care structures in Wales.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and manage constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly Parkinson’s Nurses, Consultants, Allied Health Professionals and Service Managers.

• Ability to negotiate and influence with strong report writing and presentation skills.

• Experience in the use of quality improvement and project management tools. 

• Ability to work collaboratively with people with Parkinson's, their care partners and health and social care professionals. Experience of co-production is desirable.

• Ability to analyse data and evidence to support service improvement and the development of business cases. 

There will be a two-stage recruitment process for this role:

• Stage one will take the form of a presentation-based task. Candidates will be asked to deliver a 10 minute presentation on a specific topic. Following the presentation, candidates will take part in a Q+A session with the panel. This will be held via Zoom.

• Stage two will be a 45 minute interview. This will be held in-person in Cardiff.
