Responsible for 

§  To provide operational leadership, management, performance review, maintain quality, monitoring, improve ways of working, develop staff and lead the development and implementation of the MfM Services for the benefit of our clients.

§  Representing MfM at a senior and strategic level with external partners. 

§  Support and build strategic direction for MFM.

§  Deputise for the CEO and to ensure that current and future operations continue on a sustainable and viable basis and can evidence positive outcomes and value

§  Work as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to develop, grow and sustain MfM. 

§  Managing the office and the staff team and any of their direct reports to include volunteers, sessional workers and placement students.

§  Manage and develop the Volunteer Program.

§  Communicating and liaising with the internal staff/volunteer team and external agencies and services to include liaising with other mental health/ maternity care service providers and VCSE organisations to cross-refer.  

§  Delivering training sessions for staff and volunteer, sessional workers and placements.

§  Managing regular Co-ordinators meetings  

§  Offering quarterly management supervision to staff team.

§  Offering regular management supervision group for volunteers.  

§  Assist with the co-ordinating of supervision arrangements for the Staff team and placement students.

§  Publicise service across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire

§  Demonstrate an ability to empathise, encourage and support women towards recovery.

§  Promote MfM services to women during activities, as appropriate.

§  Collect and collate data, arrange for completion of monitoring and evaluation forms. Write timely reports giving feedback on the services for the CEO and for project funders.

§  Work in close collaboration with MfM colleagues in the development of the services to act in the best interests of MfM at all times. 

§  Triage and manage the waiting lists for the services.

§  Supporting women as required within project work.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. The full programme is listed on the CVAA UK website and inlcudes topics such as LGBTQ+ parenting; therapy for children; identity formation; racism and anti-racism; parenting courses; theraplay and many more.

Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. ROLDA (Romanian League in Defence of Animals) is a small animal welfare charity working to improve the lives of dogs, cats, and other animals in Romania and internationally. Since its establishment in 2006, ROLDA has become a beacon of hope for the millions of vulnerable stray animals in Romania – one of Europe's economically poorest nations. Our mission is to manage the homeless animal population, estimated to be millions, through six key focuses: rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Within our shelters, inspired by British kennel design and maintained to meet EU animal welfare standards, we can house up to 700 stray dogs at a time. Here, they receive complete veterinary care, rehabilitation, and preparation for rehoming. Since 2006, we have helped over 48,000 animals (primarily dogs and cats) and built two shelters for dogs and one for disabled and senior cats. We also distribute support, primarily through small grants, to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We rehome mainly in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. In addition to our efforts in rescuing and rehoming animals, ROLDA tackles the root cause of Romania's homeless animals through comprehensive neutering programmes and educational initiatives. Since 2006, we have successfully neutered nearly 20,000 cats and dogs, significantly impacting Romania's severe overpopulation of animals.

Job Overview:

Overview of Role:

As a Support Worker, you will be working with young people aged 12-25 years old who have experience of self-harm. Within that age group, you will predominantly be working with young people under 18. The post would suit an experienced support worker, preferably with knowledge of the issues experienced by young people who are trans / non-binary.

You will play a key role in providing them with support and advocacy both on a one to-one basis and within a group setting; working with them to develop their emotional skills which will allow them to cope more effectively with the difficulties in their lives. The nature of the work means role that the successful candidate must focus on inclusivity for the young people.

The successful candidate will have considerable experience in working with young people aged 12-25 and will enjoy the challenge of working with adolescents in difficult circumstances. You will need to be able to work within a non-discriminatory framework, ensuring the services are provided in a qualitative, responsive, and accessible manner.

The Amber Project exists to support any young person (aged 14-25) in Cardiff and the surrounding areas who has experience of self-harm. With our Constellation element working with young people aged 12-25. Since The Amber project was established in 2002 individual support and creative
workshops have been key elements of our work with young people.

Salary: £13,406 per annum (£26,812.00 per annum FTE).

Hours:  20 hours per week. Working pattern to be agreed with the line manager but will include late afternoons and early evenings to facilitate meeting with young people outside of school hours and attending workshops. Occasional weekends.

The City and Guilds of London  Art School is a small, independent Higher Education Institute. It traces its history back to the 1850s and has strong links to a number of City Livery Companies as well as certain Trusts and Foundations and individual donors. The Art School is now seeking a Development and External Relations Manager to drive forward its activities in these areas in accordance with the Art School’s strategy and targets.  A key aspect of the role is nurturing existing and developing new relationships within the Art School’s expanding base of supporters and collaborators, including through the organisation of events.  We are looking for a self-starter with substantial experience of working in a fundraising role in the cultural or similar sector, and who can work on their own initiative as a key member of the Art School’s senior management team.

Key responsibilities

To work closely with the Principal, Director of Resources and Operations, Joint

Development Advisory Group, Trustees and Heads of Department to:

• develop support for the Art School from individuals and relevant potential funding bodies, at all levels.

• identify new funding opportunities and prospects, and devise cultivation strategies.

• plan and manage fundraising events and Art School scheduled external facing activity.

• advise and facilitate external facing activity managed within departments.

Director of Small Charity

Are you passionate about building community strength and resilience?  Interested in managing a small charity with big ambitions?

We are looking for community-focused person, with vision, skills and enthusiasm to become the first Director of our small charity and help to deliver our ambitious plans. Our Roehampton is a registered charitable company that is embarking on an exciting period of development to establish itself as a community-led anchor organisation for Roehampton in the London Borough of Wandsworth.

You could be someone who’s managed a community organisation before or has experience of managing projects in a community setting and now wants to take on a leadership role.  The successful candidate will have proven community development and engagement skills as well as be able to work strategically to lead and support the development of the charity;  you will be equally comfortable supporting a group of residents with ideas for a new activity, hosting a meeting of the Roehampton Network and liaising with local authority or health partners on strategic matters. You will have experience of staff and/or volunteer management and have the organisational skills to ensure Our Roehampton runs as a safe, legally compliant organisation. You’ll have a track record of embedding equality, diversity and inclusion understanding into your work.

Given Our Roehampton is a place-based anchor organisation, we are looking for someone willing to work locally most of the time so you can really understand the area and develop strong relationships.

About the role
This is a new role for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as we look to expand our successful Individual Giving & Lottery programmes.

The post holder will deliver quality fundraising campaigns, including Cash Appeals, Regular Giving and Lottery that will grow income, supporter base and lifetime value. Putting supporters at the heart of the Charity’s work, the role includes acquisition, retention and stewardship of individual donors and lottery players to achieve a sustainable increase in income for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

You’ll have strong commercial knowledge, with the ability to apply this to the Charity sector; adding value to our existing fundraising activities and impact reporting. 

As part of a busy and ambitious team, this role would suit a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a talent for storytelling and a knowledge of data-driven marketing. Working with the Digital Fundraising Manager and Marketing & PR Manager, they will be instrumental to the success of Individual Giving during an exciting period of growth for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
