Job description

Are you caring and compassionate? Looking for a role where you can make a real difference to people’s lives every day? Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as a Recovery Worker. You don’t need experience, we’re more interested in your personality, so if you can bring empathy and a real commitment to supporting people to achieve independence, we will provide you with all the training and development you need to excel in this role.

Right now, we are looking for someone like you to join our team at Moor View where we support people with mental health problems. Following a recent CQC inspection that raised some operational issues, we have taken positive steps to address them and have started an improvement journey which we’d love you to join us on. You’ll share our commitment to creating and maintaining an environment where people can thrive and achieve their full potential. You’ll join a team of Recovery Workers and get involved in a range of duties such as helping to come up with a personal support plan, developing domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities. It’s a varied role but one that will give you real satisfaction as you see the difference your input makes to the lives of the people we support.

Training and Benefits
When you join us you will receive a thorough induction and ongoing training and development, along with a great range of benefits including 25 days annual leave (which increases the longer you are with us) family friendly policies, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme.

This is a permanent role requiring the post-holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

The salary is £17,004.00 with progression to £17,230.00 per annum. In addition the successful candidates will receive a £1,000 Golden Hello payment.

This is a rolling recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be interviewed as and when they apply.

We are committed to increasing our diversity and we would welcome applications from those with lived experience and/or who are from a BAME background.

So, are you ready to take on this rewarding role that comes with some really great benefits? Apply now via our website.

Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone.
