Salesforce Administator

Role purpose

As an experienced Salesforce Administrator with strong development and project delivery skills, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining, improving, and scaling our Salesforce platform to support service delivery, reporting, and insight. You'll work closely with colleagues across teams to optimise systems, support data-driven decision making, and contribute to wider organisational impact.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

· Own and manage the Salesforce support function, triaging and resolving tickets, analysing issues, and escalating as needed, while keeping users informed via our internal support system.

· Lead the delivery of Salesforce projects and enhancements, including scoping requirements, managing timelines, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful rollouts.

· Collaborate with the Business Analyst to design and build insightful dashboards, custom reports, and data visualisations to support decision-making across programmes and services.

· Configure and maintain all aspects of the Salesforce platform including custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, page layouts, profiles, permission sets, and user management.

· Maintain data integrity by managing imports, exports, de-duplication, and regular audits to ensure clean, consistent, and reliable information across the system.

· Conduct system testing, regression testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for all Salesforce updates and enhancements, including those from seasonal releases.

· Support the creation and integration of FormAssembly forms with automated workflows and ensure secure, accessible data capture processes.

· Develop and maintain up-to-date technical, configuration, and process documentation to support internal knowledge transfer and business continuity.

· Deliver onboarding and ongoing training for users, run workshops, and provide tailored guidance to build confidence and promote effective system use.

· Prepare and deliver data reports for internal and external stakeholders, including quarterly performance reports for funders, local authorities, and programme partners.

· Use Salesforce data proactively to identify trends, support programme development, and contribute to our digital transformation strategic plan.

· Ensure compliance with internal data management standards and external data protection requirements (e.g. GDPR).

· Contribute to continuous improvement of our digital infrastructure, bringing in new ideas, integrations, and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Person Specification

Essential skills and experience

· Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator with hands-on configuration expertise.

· Demonstrable experience managing Salesforce projects from concept to delivery.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams.

· Strong understanding of agile project management principles and tools (e.g., Microsoft Planner, Jira, Trello).

· Advanced reporting and dashboard design using native Salesforce tools.

· Experience with Salesforce declarative development (e.g., Flow, Process Builder, validation rules).

· Proven ability to document systems and processes clearly for both technical and end-user audiences.

· Understanding of data protection principles and best practice in data governance.

· Comfortable with change management, user training, and system adoption strategies.

· Experience in working collaboratively with developers, product owners, and analysts.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable skills and experience

· Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification.

· Experience with Campaign Manager, FormAssembly, Power BI, or other integration tools (e.g., Zapier, MuleSoft).

· Familiarity with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) or Experience Cloud.

· Interest in social mobility, equity, and supporting underrepresented communities.

· Experience in a mission-driven, nonprofit, or public sector organisation.

· Ability to balance technical delivery with a user-first mindset.

About the role

One of the core areas of CAST’s work is building the capacity of the social sector to respond to the rapid scale advances in AI. The evidence from the Charity Digital Skills Report; Joseph Rowntree's Grassroots and Nonprofits research and our own AI survey shows that charities are unlikely to benefit from - or respond to the challenges of - AI without intentional support and capacity building. To support charities’ (critical) adoption of AI we need to invest in supporting sector-experiments that create demonstrable impact (acting as showcases), working alongside the peer groups, charities and working groups to help move conversations into practical action.

To achieve that, we are looking to recruit a Head of Technical AI Experiments to focus on driving forward this work in a number of different ways:

• Providing direct support to organisations and specific technical advice;
• Building a range of experiments and tools alongside the sector;
• Supporting the design and development of specific programmes, training and interventions that will help shift the sector on AI

Whilst there is a lot of work underway and in the pipeline on AI this role will be expected to shape this work based on their deep experience and knowledge of AI, and support the wider team at CAST to upskill in this area.

What you'll achieve

• Create simple to use AI products and prototypes that meet the needs of the charity sector and their communities; being transparent about how the tools work to build understanding and confidence
• Contribute to the development of an ongoing AI strategy that aligns with CAST's mission and supports the digital transformation of social sector organisations;
• Alongside the Head of Design for AI, lead the design, development, and deployment of AI experiments, tools and resources tailored to the needs of the social sector;
• Provide training, resources and expertise to social sector organisations to build their AI literacy and empower them to leverage AI technologies effectively through both direct coaching and via networks;
• Working with the wider CAST team, contribute to the ongoing development of ethical guidelines for AI use, ensuring compliance with legal standards and promoting responsible AI practices within the sector; 
• Foster partnerships with technology experts, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to advance AI initiatives and share best practices for the sector;
• Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies, assessing their potential impact on the social sector and identifying opportunities for innovation;
• Support the wider CAST team in developing their knowledge and skills on AI, and how we can use AI to best effect within our own work.

Skills and capabilities required

• Proven experience in a senior AI or technology leadership role, ideally with experience of the social sector;
• In-depth knowledge of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive technological adoption and innovation.
• Strong understanding of ethical considerations and regulatory requirements related to AI technology.
• High levels of autonomy with extraordinary organisation and communication skills.
• Able to thrive in a distributed team that changes and responds to the needs of the network and charity sector

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 

This role will be prison based. Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. We strongly believe in addressing the root causes for homelessness, so our specialist teams support in areas such as mental health, substance misuse, tenancy sustainment, IT skills, employment guidance and much more. 

The Fundraising team is small but mighty. We shape and support the raising of funds for Turning Tides, by inspiring compassion for people facing homelessness and aim to engage supporters through powerful storytelling. From supporting and creating fundraising events, engaging with community groups, corporate clients and providing 1:1 stewardship with donors we aim to spread the word of our mission to the wider community, inspiring people to take action in support of those who are impacted by homelessness. This is an exciting time in the Fundraising team as we embark on a review of how we make our supporters and journey one that they value and a part of the work we undertake.

About the role

The Fundraising Officer will work closely with the Fundraising Manager on a wide range of tasks, ensuring our messages reach the right people in the right way. This could include giving talks at local community groups such as schools and churches, delivering fundraising, stewardship of fundraisers and donors. This role will include weekend and evening work to support our fundraising events.

The role is a two day a week commitment. (16 hours) £150 per day.  We are flexible on working from home but would prefer that at least one of the two days is at the office with the other two staff members, our Office Administrator and CEO.

Monitoring and recording all income for the charity

Sourcing funding, at present primarily from Trusts and Foundation or individuals

Collaborating with the office team on other fundraising initiatives and events

Support the delivery of digital fundraising activities

Being a small team, other tasks may come up from time to time

Exploring and obtaining fundraising from Corporate entities.

A good knowledge of a CRM database, preferably Advantage nfp

Good writing and communication skills

STEM Learning is seeking a dynamic and creative Community and Content Officer to join our innovative Marketing and Communications team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the STEM Ambassadors Community to support the organisation in inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers and innovators. The STEM Ambassadors Community is an online community of practice for STEM Ambassador volunteers (STEM professionals who encourage young people to take up STEM subjects and careers) to share ideas, resources and support.

The Role

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of maintaining a vibrant online community that connects STEM Ambassadors, educators and partners. Working alongside the Community and Content Manager, you’ll:

• Create compelling content: Lead on the development of content, curate engaging campaigns and identify the best distribution channels that will bring STEM to life.
• Foster engagement: Lead initiatives like competitions and milestone celebrations, interact with community members and curate diverse content to increase engagement and keep the community buzzing with activity.
• Platform support: Facilitate the effective use of the online platform (Higher Logic Thrive) and provide guidance to members, educators and STEM Ambassadors.
• Build partnerships: Collaborate with key employers, educational institutions and volunteers to amplify the community’s impact.
• Shape the future: Take ownership of innovative projects and continuously improve how we engage and inspire our network.

Salary: circa £80,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid role with minimum one day per week / four days per month in the High Wycombe based office, ideally more to reflect the level of seniority of the role
