The Role
This is a new role which will be focused on a specific project to initially set up and support our member led Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) task group and subgroups. These task groups, with your support, will lead the direction that our EDI membership initiatives take. One of the primary core initiatives will be the delivery of a mentoring scheme for our members with an inclusivity focus.
To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:
• Excellent Project Management skills and experience
• Demonstratable knowledge of the EDI space, leading practises and ideologies
• Previous experience of working with members/volunteers including in an advisory and secretariat capacity.
• An understanding of and preferably experience of managing mentoring schemes.
Experience of working in a membership organisation or knowledge of the engineering profession would be advantageous.

Stakeholder communications

Face Equality International works to mobilise an alliance of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), charities and support groups to further the campaign for ‘face equality’.

Responsibilities

Social media – Written, graphic and video content to be produced to support FEI’s mission. With the support from the Campaigns Manager, the Communications Officer will lead on developing engaging content to amplify the voices of the facial difference community. Accessible content standards are essential.

Graphic/video editing – Using tools such as Canva or CapCut to create and edit content.

Website updates – All FEI staff have access and responsibility to collectively update our WordPress site in line with their role.

Copywriting – Creating content for social media primarily with the addition of blogs and other written marketing materials on occasion.

Engagement – Community management and engagement via online channels, including influencer outreach.

Monitoring and evaluation – using analytics to track impact.

Ad hoc tasks: Supporting the team with ad hoc administrative and communications duties as requested.
Past experience:

Experience of producing content for digital channels is essential.

About this role:
This is a key role working with teams from across Teenage Cancer Trust to shape our digital content strategy. By collaborating with colleagues and demonstrating a deep understanding of our audiences you will manage a small team of social media and digital content creators to amplify the voices of the young people we support, advocate for change and engage and develop supporters to ensure that young people with cancer have the best treatment, care and support, so that cancer doesn’t stop them from living their lives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working collaboratively with colleagues from across the organisation you will be responsible for the strategic planning of Teenage Cancer Trust owned and shared editorial content across all digital platforms.
- You will be working closely with colleagues from our marketing and digital products teams to identify and analyse relevant data to inform an agile content strategy that elevates the voices of young people and engages our supporters
- Considering the role content plays in supporter journeys, and working closely with marketing team to build these journeys
- Work closely with the supporter journeys team and digital content executive to develop successful email stewardship programmes using an ESP
- Liaising with colleagues from across our services teams, including the clinical information lead, to ensure our online content is servicing the needs of young people, utilising quantitative and qualitative data to inform content strategy
- Researching audience trends and ensuring that our digital content creation and curation plans align with audience needs. Providing a deep understanding of our audiences and how we grow our digital platforms to provide the best possible experience for these
- Ensuring storytelling opportunities are integrated and maximised across the platforms that are most important to our audiences.
- Working with the Digital Experience Manager and Clinical Information Lead, develop exceptional search friendly content based on user search volume and developing the charity’s keyword research to drive growth across our digital products
- Developing your team and advocating for digital content widely across the organisation to foster a culture of curiosity and innovation around digital storytelling
- Providing advice to colleagues across the organisation on how to leverage digital platforms to achieve their desired outcomes to support Teenage Cancer Trust.
- Demonstrating technical excellence in planning, writing, content design, SEO & keyword research
- Understanding analytics platforms and making recommendations based on their data
- Building a culture of storytelling that resonates with supporters and young people to drive a deeper emotional connection to Teenage Cancer Trust
- Decision-making around budgets, including providing strategic advice to Social Media Lead to help decide where to spend the devolved social budget

The Community Fundraising Manager will be an integral part of a dynamic and unstoppable fundraising department.
The role will develop and implement strategies to cultivate grassroots fundraising across the UK in support of Sarcoma UK's mission. You will recruit, steward and enable a network of dedicated community fundraisers, volunteer fundraising groups and fundraising event hosts. Through excellent donor support, you will maximise fundraising from annual campaigns, challenge events, community activities and peer-to-peer initiatives.
You will also have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, a personable manner, and will embrace the desire to make a measurable difference. Working in areas the charity has not previously been able to dedicate a Community Fundraiser Manager to, you will be expected to work with the staff team and, internal and external networking groups, as well as building relationships and partnerships in the community.

Duties and key responsibilities
Community fundraising
- Manage and develop regional fundraising by devising a regional community fundraising strategy for income generation.
- Design and develop Sarcoma UK's calendar of annual community fundraising campaigns and events communication, including Cuppa and Cake.
- Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
- Identify opportunities and recruit new community fundraisers, fundraising groups, corporate and school partners.
- Work with the Fundraising team to produce regular feedback reports and analysis on specific community products and overall revenue.
- Lead on promotion of community fundraising through digital marketing, PR, speaking engagements and on the ground fundraising.
Management
- Provide line management and day-to-day support to the Regional Fundraising Officer North, building their fundraising knowledge.
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for your areas of responsibility.
Income Generation
- Implement agreed KPIs, objectives and budget for the Regional Fundraising Team to drive support and engagement.
- Identify fundraising products, key accounts, and projects that will support income growth both locally and nationally.
- Responsible for monitoring and managing all income streams across all community fundraising lines including Gift Aid and working closely with the Operations Team.
Processes, administration, and reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
- Ensure all recording, and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
- Ensure necessary Community Fundraising policies are up to date.
- Follow Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures including risk assessments to ensure a consistent approach and maintain a high level of support expected by our donors and fundraisers.
- Ensure that all activities are compliant with legislation governing fundraising including GDPR, health and safety, Institute of Fundraising, and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Conduct.
Wider fundraising
- Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
- Support third party fundraising and challenge event portfolio.
- Work with the Events Manager to develop merchandise and trade income opportunities.
- Support with managing merchandise supplier relationships and internal and external stock levels.
General
- The role requires some travel to events and meetings throughout the UK. Some weekend or evening work will also be required and time off in lieu will be given. Travel expenses will be reimbursed (exc. Travel to the Sarcoma UK office).
- Stay up to date with the latest knowledge in fundraising and ensure Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures follow best practice.
- The post holder will be working in a developing environment, and they will therefore be required to undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

The Digital Products Manager is a pivotal role in ensuring SCIE delivers on our digital plan, including:
1. Managing all web content, resources and other digital assets.

About you
We are seeking candidates with experience in managing the development, production and delivery of web content and digital products, including e-learning resources, videos, podcasts, and images, for a high traffic and information rich website.
The successful candidate will have experience of implementing a digital-first strategy which supports and refines customer-focused outputs. You will be versed in content management systems (e.g. WordPress), information architecture, and user-experience (UX) design as it pertains to effective usability and accessibility. You will have experience of the daily operation and fluid maintenance of a large website and platform that works for our audiences and supports our wider business development aims of generating interest and sales in SCIE’s products and services.
You will have experience of managing external contractors (e.g. designers, photographers, illustrators, developers, etc.) as well as using tools like Google Analytics (GA4) and Hotjar, and understanding how web statistics and user feedback collection and analysis can help us engage with our audiences better.
You will understand the digital needs of a wide range of SCIE’s stakeholders, including for example, people with visual impairments and people with learning disabilities, and how to ensure that our digital products and web content work for all audiences.

About the role
Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.
You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).
The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team. Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.
