Refugee Action Kingston (RAK) is seeking an experienced and compassionate ESOL Coordinator to support our Community Hub Project. You will coordinate ESOL volunteers and resources, manage referrals and assessments to place users in classes, and administer registrations using RAK systems. Working closely with the Community Hub Manager, you will help deliver a blended ESOL programme that supports community integration, confidence and language development for refugees and people seeking asylum.

Key responsibilities 

• Coordinate ESOL referrals, assessments, attendance and class allocations.

Purpose of role

As the Program Manager, Media and Communications, you will support the Program Director on the design, development and implementation of communication strategies and plans to advance Humane World for Animals UK’s strategic priorities with regard to campaigns, brand-building and fundraising. You will lead on producing and delivering a content strategy for a broad range of channels to increase audience engagement. The position will support campaigns and fundraising stewardship and give strategic advice regarding social media market insights and trends in the UK digital sphere and emerging channels. This will be vital to achieve successful brand building in the UK market through impactful storytelling, campaign activations, fundraising recruitment and stewardship through compelling content on the earned channels and holistic management of thematic work.

• Social media:  Plan, schedule and manage day-to-day (and occasional out-of-hours) social media activity, engaging online communities, managing paid social media advertising and delivering campaigns that support advocacy, fundraising and recruitment. Maintain the visual asset library and manage a social media volunteer.
• Influencer and partnership engagement:Identify and recruit influencers and celebrities to extend our reach and support our campaigns
• Administration: Monitor and report on performance using tools like Google Analytics and social monitoring platforms to guide continual improvement.Coordinate activities with colleagues using planning platforms.

A proactive self-starter, you will have demonstrable experience of achieving significant growth and development in regard to audience reach and will take a solution-focused approach to overcoming obstacles. You will have experience of delivering media and communication strategies and plans in a fast-paced environment. You will have ambition and drive for creating positive change for animal welfare; a willingness to constantly learn and develop the most impactful, cost-effective communications for our target audiences; and your work will be solidly underpinned by regular evaluation of progress and impact with a view to further improving strategies.

You should have experience of media liaison and securing press coverage, as well as familiarity with all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, BlueSky, Instagram and LinkedIn), and ideally a foundational knowledge of the associated reporting and analytics for them.

Our volunteers make this possible, supporting our students to navigate challenges and have fun on the trips. We currently run 36 GADA trips a year but are only scratching the surface of demand. We are looking for someone to support the growth of this project to 65 trips a year.

Main responsibilities

• You’ll work with our students to co-design a programme of GADA trips, as well as sign up students and volunteers to the trips.

• You’ll recruit and train GADA volunteers and support them on trips.

• You’ll organise GADA trips, including risk assessing them, planning how to make them accessible, carrying out administration such as buying tickets, and providing volunteers with the information they need.

• You’ll provide broader volunteer support, helping to deliver inductions for new volunteers, including supporting with interviews, taster days and induction training.

• You will support volunteer check-ins and surveys for all volunteers, including those in non-GADA roles.

About the Role

Join us as a National Programmes Administrator and help drive the smooth delivery of our Education, Training & Employment, Money Management and Client Involvement programmes. You’ll coordinate grants, placements, mentoring activities and digital learning resources, ensuring clients can access opportunities that build confidence and independence. With strong organisational skills and attention to detail, you’ll manage programme data, produce clear impact reports, maintain efficient systems and research external support agencies to strengthen our national directory.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll support client engagement activities, manage communications with professionalism and keep programme operations running seamlessly. This role is perfect for someone proactive, adaptable and collaborative—someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is motivated by helping people make positive, lasting change.

Key deliverables:

• Support with the administration of grants to clients

• Provide organisational and administrative support in the coordination of the volunteer mentoring, client placement project, client representative role, alumni role and other client involvement initiatives.

• Research and collate information pertaining to external agencies and services to support Depaul clients in their progression.

• Build and maintain strong partnerships/engagement within the Programmes Team

· Collate performance, value and impact information, and generate reports to evaluate and demonstrate the value of the programme delivery

· Support and promote client engagement activities to meaningfully engage clients and keep service colleagues aware of client involvement work.

• Produce regular reports, case studies detailing client engagement and participation with the programmes

• Manage and monitor inbox communications, responding promptly and professionally while providing detailed support, and proactively flagging any areas of uncertainty to the manager for guidance.

• Work collaboratively to identify and share relevant, interesting, and useful information for the monthly newsletter that benefits colleagues and staff.

• In conjunction with your Line Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of Depaul UK

If so, Sue Ryder has a fantastic opportunity to be our new Supporter Engagement Individual Giving Officer, helping to deliver the acquisition programme across Individual Giving, Regular Giving and Lottery at Sue Ryder.

Reporting to the Supporter Engagement Individual Giving Manager you will work as part of the Supporter Engagement Individual Giving Team, recruiting new donors and maximising income across a variety of direct marketing campaigns and activities, supporting on a variety of projects across Individual Giving; including Face to Face, direct mail, email, digital, and telephone campaigns, including work on the national fundraising Lottery.

The successful candidate will be expected to attend our Euston office once a week, although there is some flexibility around this for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivery of multi-channel direct, telemarketing and digital marketing campaigns; to include briefing in new products, managing timings, campaign budgets, collating feedback and approval from key stakeholders, liaising with suppliers and ensuring materials are compliant and on-brand
• Work with the Supporter Engagement Individual Giving Manager to forecast income and expenditure for campaigns and ensure spend remains within budget.
• Manage all aspects of effective and inspiring welcome Journeys. Reviewing data, cancellations and implementing communications to reduce attrition accordingly
• Responsible for Individual Giving campaigns, including delivery of fundraiser training, campaign briefing, day to day agency management and overseeing compliance

• Experience of supporter recruitment
• Experience of either lottery or regular giving fundraising
• Experience of managing external agency relationships

Minimum Essential Criteria

• Experience of Individual Giving fundraising or transferable experience
• Experience of working with databases (Raisers Edge experience preferable)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages with advanced Excel experience
• Interpersonal skills – experience of working within a team (ideally across multiple teams), customer service
• Experience of working with third party suppliers and managing relationships
• Experience of developing compelling marketing materials and copy for print, web and social media
