The Training Lead - Projects & DFTP (Digital First Transformation Programme) will design, develop and deliver training strategies and plans that successfully support and empower stakeholders to adopt new systems, products, processes and ways of working that align to the MHFA England strategy. The role holder will work with the internal stakeholders on developing and delivering interventions to improve communication with, and engagement of, staff and support wellbeing of colleagues. Purpose of the Learning and Engagement Officer role:
As our Learning and Engagement Officer,
Key responsibilities of our Learning and Engagement Officer include:
- Deliver daily programmed activities encompassing both formal and informal learning
- Develop Learning and Engagement (L&E) activities and resources for both formal and informal learners of all ages and abilities
- Ensure administration and organisation of all L&E activities is developed and delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget
- Lead on Museum-initiated or partner events as required
- Lead on term-time provision for the under-fives
- Support the development and delivery of a high standard of visitor experience
- Be fully active in the research, development and delivery of all elements of Learning and Engagement activities on site, offsite and online. This will include public demonstrations and presentations, class facilitation and tours
- Keep up to date with developments in the National Curriculum and with the Learning and Engagement provision in other museums
- In a manner consistent with the Museum’s shared values, work with L&E staff and volunteers and with staff and volunteers across departments to create or support innovative and engaging activities and resources which reduce barriers to learning
- Assist with the processing of L&E team bookings, producing accurate timetables for school activities and other events
- Collate data and report as required on areas including performance, targets and individual key tasks. Assist with research and evaluation projects
- Consult with schools and other partners to ensure the Museum is meeting their need.
Provide suitable feedback mechanisms, collate feedback, identify areas for improvement and
ensure ‘lessons learned’ are shared with colleagues - Provide effective, timely reporting both in writing and through presentations and discussion as required
- Maintain relevant pages of the Museum website, produce promotional materials as required and contribute to the Museum’s social media output
- Monitor the availability of consumable resources, ensuring supplies are ordered in good time
- Assume devolved responsibility for budget management when required

What we are looking for in our Learning and Engagement Officer:

About the role
This is a new role created at IRMO to strengthen how we measure, understand and communicate our impact. It sits at the heart of a learning-focused, community-led organisation working for migrant rights and social justice. We are open to hiring at either Officer or Lead level, depending on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) who can take the lead in reviewing our current MEL systems and practices, identifying what’s working well and where there’s room for improvement. The Digital Inclusion Worker will be responsible for providing targeted one-to-one digital support and delivering workshops to both disabled and non-disabled residents of Enfield, helping them to improve their digital skills. This will be achieved through the delivery of tailored training and learning programmes designed to promote digital inclusion. The Digital Inclusion Worker will also involve residents in the co-design of the project, network with community groups and partner organisations, support the recruitment of volunteers, troubleshoot technical challenges faced by residents, and assist ECP’s Project Manager in producing key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress reports.
The Digital Inclusion Worker will have extensive Digital Inclusion knowledge to:
- Manage the Enfield Digital Champions (Volunteers) project ensuring adherence to compliance, health and safety matters, and quality assurance.
- Support the recruitment of Digital Champion volunteers to sustain and enhance a network of 10 digital champions per year delivering support and skills training in Enfield.
- Provide training and development opportunities to volunteers to sustain interest and enhance skills.

- Host Bi-monthly network sessions for all champions and provide appropriate related 1:1 support, as required.
