The vacancy

The Programme Manager role will report to the Senior Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

Led by a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst and UKBA(Cert), we have highly specialised team of clinicians, including rehabilitation workers for the visually impaired and behaviour consultants. We assess functional vision and test for cerebral visual impairments, which can often be an overlooked establishing operation for behavioural challenges. As well as direct assessment and intervention to work to increase people’s opportunities in life, we train our support teams to meet the people we supports’ unique needs.  Our team members are committed to joint working with families, support teams and our NHS and local authority colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for the people we support.

We work as partners with the residential or supported living teams to build plans that are accepted, operationally achievable, generalisable, and sustainable. 

Your experience & personal characteristics 

As you will be working with people in their own homes, residential and group supported living services, you must be confident engaging with diverse groups of people, family members and multi-agency professionals.  You need to be passionate about equality and equity, being able to see the potential for improvement and knowing how to guide the person we support and their team to achieve the best. You will already have experience working directly with people who have learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, multi-sensory impairments, and people who may present behaviours that challenge.  You will be fluent in the use of applied behaviour analysis to devise ways that are simple but effective to measure baseline and on-going development.  You will be able to support our teams by putting plans into action through your direct modelling.

Your qualifications

This position requires a minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or a related field (such as Positive Behaviour Support) with at least two years of applicable experience; or Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, with one year of professional experience.

Further core objectives include leading the drafting of new/revisions to people policies, consultation and negotiation with relevant stakeholders, and the communication and embedding of new/revised practices across the workforce. The Senior People Partner will further build and maintain effective working relationships with the senior leadership team, acting as an expert strategic adviser on a range of employee relations matters and as a point of escalation for employee relations enquiries emerging from other teams, actively coaching, supporting, and mentoring colleagues to grow team capability and support development. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing an HR case work portfolio, which includes conducting discipline and grievance investigations, hearings and appeals, and ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunals, as well as overseeing attendance and performance management processes. Established success in coaching managers and leaders on various HR matters is essential to this role, empowering them to manage risk, resolve conflict, support their team members to excel at work, and foster cohesion and trust within a hybrid workforce. This is a full-time, permanent role in Band 4 – Senior Management and Senior Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 per week, working 5 days between the hours of 9am-5pm, although due to the nature of the work, some flexibility may be required.

We are looking for a People Policy & Engagement Partner to join the National Theatre People Team.

The purpose of the role

The People Team provide advice, guidance and support to all National Theatre staff, line managers and senior leaders on people policies; terms and conditions of employment; recruitment and selection; performance management; staff engagement; diversity and inclusion; trade union and employee relations; discipline, grievance, and capability processes; and training and career development. We pride ourselves on providing a customer-focused, flexible, and agile service and aim to support and facilitate an open and inclusive culture where all staff can thrive.

The successful applicant for this role will lead on the development and review of employment policies, undertaking benchmarking and researching best practice to ensure the NT has a full range of accessible and inclusive policies. They will analyse and interpret business intelligence and workforce data to inform policy development and decision making whilst working with colleagues to develop guidance and training for managers and act as the department’s central advisory expertise. They will also lead on work related to the NT’s pay framework and policy and manage engagement surveys, developing routine reporting and analysis.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Experience across a range of People functions that demonstrates an ability to work autonomously across a range of functions, including generalist, policy development, reward and interpreting terms and conditions.
• Experience of analysing and presenting information both written and verbally in informal and formal settings.
• Experience of working with information, databases and ability to interrogate and analyse data.
• Experience of working in a flexible and pragmatic way to problem-solving. Able to seek and exploit opportunities to advance objectives.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively orally, digitally and in writing adapting the message for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way.
• Experience of managing multiple stakeholders, with the ability to build strong collaborative working relationships.

We are seeking a Direct Marketing Officer to join this team to manage and deliver a series of high standard direct marketing campaigns across our Regular Giving programme. This individual will be recruiting, retaining and upgrading regular donors to generate income through a variety of direct marketing methods such as direct dialogue, DRTV, digital, and direct mail. They will be encouraging regular monthly gifts or support via one of our main products such as general Regular Giving and Sponsorship, our Lottery, Value Exchange programme and other methods of committed giving as they arise.

Strategy

• Instigating new collaborative models to engage with contemporary society that leverages the ICA’s assets as a resource.
Programme delivery
• Working closely with the Head of Learning and Engagement to devise and produce ICA’s Learning and Engagement programme, including co-creating with young people on our core youth projects (ICA Creatives and youth forum), monthly talks programme, book launches, symposia, workshops (inc reading groups), residencies.
• Developing programme that is responsive to the artistic programme and audience need.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with institutions including higher education and third sector for collaborative purposes and to grow new audiences.
• Liaise and collaborate with the Bookstore Manager on creating opportunities in line with the talks programme and book launches. 
• Ensure programmes are accessible, in content, language and reach.
• Contracting freelance artists, facilitators, and other collaborators, ensuring they understand and apply the organisation ethos and policies in their approach to work.
• Devising and delivering new online content opportunities, that create programme visibility, promote and target audience reach, including contributing towards digital strategies (in collaboration with comms team).
• Contribute to and participate in a collaborative working environment, including weekly team discussions and other conversations.

Finance Management
• Manage the project budget ensuring both quality control and good value for money, including authorising expenditure via any payment method, tracking all transactions, and tracking actual, committed, and forecast (uncommitted) costs. With oversight from Head of L&E.
• Track income, request sales invoices, and submit a third-party audit trail for all income received.
• Reconcile project budgets and cashflow to our accounting system monthly, in collaboration with the Finance Manager.

Comms & Marketing
• Work to maintain the profile of ICA and our projects.
• Work with the Communications Team to plan and deliver communication and participant recruitment campaigns and implement appropriate strategic marketing for each project.
• Arrange photography and video documentation as necessary.
• Write copy in line with ICA guidelines to promote programme

General Administration
• Ensure all day-to-day project administration is carried out efficiently and appropriately.
• Maintain that all project activity and outcomes are carried out in line with ICA’s policies and procedures, including and not limited to insurance, liability, health & safety, safeguarding, privacy & data protection, access, equity, diversity, inclusion, safer spaces, and anti-racism.
• Work in a sustainable and environmentally conscious manner in the production and presentation of ICA programme.
• Maintaining data collection to contribute towards evaluation, tracking monitoring information to monitor impact.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 5 years’ experience of working effectively as a producer in the cultural sector within a participation / learning / engagement context
• A strong track record of producing programmes that respond to audience need and create impact
• Experience working with diverse audiences including young people and communities
• Knowledge of access, diversity, equality and inclusion, anti-racism policies in the cultural sector.
