Role Summary

Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.

Reporting into the Head of Resources & Planning, this role provides the opportunity to join a Development operations team in driving forward the exciting, ambitious and transformational NHM150 campaign.  You will have the opportunity to be innovative and proactive, as well as utilise your creativity, project management and organisational skills to oversee donor recognition and ensure we are providing a consistent and best in sector experience for our donors and partners.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Stewardship and supporter journey

• Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Head of Corporate Partnerships, lead the development of a structured, overarching stewardship programme that works across the Museum. Take a supporter journey approach and ensure the programme includes a creative and innovative range of benefits and recognition to foster well-managed, mutually beneficial and lasting relationships with funders.
• Coordinate stewardship efforts and work with colleagues to produce tailored stewardship plans.
• Provide strategic and day-to-day advice and guidance to staff on stewardship.

Funder recognition

• Work with the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships departments to ensure a cohesive approach to the funder benefits matrix and recognition and acknowledgement.
• Advise and lead on funder inclusion with event and event material including, speeches, invites and associated thanking moments
• Lead on the creation and implementation of a funder recognition strategy for each major project and giving mechanism, ensuring consistency with the Museum’sdeli Naming and Recognition Policy and including, but not limited to, funder boards and naming opportunities.
• Lead for Development on work with the Design, Comms, Marketing and Digital team to develop agreed frameworks and ‘lock-ups’ for the NHM’s brand and visual identity. Create agreed procedures to ensure sign-off by all parties which is effective and well-communicated.

Communications and reporting

• Support colleagues in researching, writing and producing high-quality impact reports for funders in line with Deeds of Gift, contracts and other agreements.
• Support the creation of the Museum’s Annual Review, Annual Report and similar impact reporting; ensuring appropriate funder recognition.
• Manage the annual Season’s Greetings cards creation and distribution

Other responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse group of Museum stakeholders, to ensure stewardship plans and activities are successfully coordinated and delivered.
• Responsible for oversight of Supporter Cards for key Development supporters, working with the Database team to create and distribute.
• Develop a strong knowledge of sector best practice through networking, benchmarking against comparable institutions, identifying and undertaking training and development opportunities, and where appropriate implement these best practices at the Museum.
• Record essential information accurately and appropriately, using Development Group systems and the Raiser’s Edge database. This includes tracking agreed and live negotiations for funder recognition and commitments on major projects.

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Significant experience in a fundraising / funder management role, or similar project management experience
• A strong working knowledge of the role of stewardship in the not-for-profit or cultural sectors, with the ability to initiate and manage stewardship activities.
• A proactive, positive and creative approach to stewardship, with the ability to recognise and create relationship-building and strengthening opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both face-to-face and through written material such as letters, reports and visual presentations.
• Attention to detail and ability to successfully negotiate with colleagues across the Museum to monitor and deliver donor recognition requirements.
• A team player, able to work flexibly and positively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload, set priorities, meet deadlines and work unsupervised.

Desired

• Experience working on a major capital campaign
• Experience of using a fundraising CRM such as Raiser’s Edge NXT
• Demonstrated commitment to best practice and innovation

Salary: £38,347 per annum, grade 4

We’re looking for a Carer Assessment Service Manager to lead our countywide team in delivering statutory and preventative assessments in line with the Care Act 2014. You’ll provide leadership and day-to-day support to your team, oversee assessment allocations, and manage referrals through our internal CRM and West Sussex County Council’s systems.

You’ll also deliver staff supervisions, attend management and partner meetings, contribute to training, and support service development projects. A key part of the role involves quality assurance, trend analysis, report writing for senior leaders and commissioners, and managing assessment processes and budgets. You’ll stay up to date with Care Act legislation, ensure staff are trained accordingly, and take part in the duty manager rota to provide out-of-hours support and safeguard service continuity.

The role is mainly remote / homeworking with the expectation that you may need to travel on occasion to in-person meetings and training across the county. This role would therefore suit those located in, or close to, West Sussex.

Job Role

• Lead the specialist, countywide Carer Assessment team to deliver best value, high quality statutory and preventative carer assessments and ensure that outcomes are compliant with the Care Act 2014.
• Work with Heads of Service to grow and develop services including identifying gaps, managing risks and demand, proactively seeking opportunities, increasing the digital offer and supporting funding bids to respond to changing needs.
• Develop, deliver and monitor the Carer Assessment Team delivery plan, aligning to CSWS’s strategy ensuring all KPIs are met and a high-quality service is provided to carers.
• Be a proactive member of the Operational Managers Team to develop services, promoting collaboration with your teams, build internal relationships and encourage team to share good practice and work collaboratively with the wider staff group.

You will manage the events team, overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of diverse events including major conferences, webinars and workshops. This role contributes to NCVO’s brand recognition, and fosters connection, learning and collaboration for its 17,000 members, and wider sector audience. You will develop and manage event budgets and continuously improve the programme based on evaluation and data.

The CRM Systems Manager champions and enables long-term customer engagement through the management and continued development of our CRM systems, primarily Tessitura. The Race Equality Foundation is looking for an experienced and strategic Public Affairs and Communications Manager to lead and grow our communications work – ensuring our voice is influential, impactful, and heard where it matters most.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
• Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
• Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts & Statutory partners.

Write applications and reports

• Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
• Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details ina timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations and Statutory pipelines and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

The Marketing Lead will drive targeted campaigns that promote government-funded CPD programmes like T Level Professional Development and Apprentice Workforce Development. Leading a small team, you’ll work closely with internal teams, government agencies, and partners to deliver coordinated, insight-driven marketing that boosts awareness and participation, while also supporting government bid proposals aligned with audience needs.
Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Manage the contracts marketing team to deliver multi-channel campaigns across government-funded CPD programmes and coordinate the annual marketing calendar.
• Oversee digital marketing efforts including paid search, SEO, paid social, email, and marketing automation, ensuring ‘always-on’ activities broaden reach.
• Manage ETF’s website and platforms to keep content accurate, engaging, and aligned with campaign goals.
• Deliver seamless customer journeys online and offline to drive conversion and engagement.
• Select and manage events to maximise impact and align with KPIs.
• Work with internal teams and external agencies to produce high-quality, on-brand marketing campaigns and assets.
• Support government bids by shaping proposals and coordinating with government agencies and delivery partners.
• Monitor marketing performance and ROI, applying improvements as needed.
• Plan and manage budgets, reporting on spend and impact regularly.
• Lead and motivate a team of around four, fostering an agile, customer-focused, performance-driven culture.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

• Degree-level education or equivalent experience in marketing.
• Recognised marketing qualification (e.g., CIM, IDM).
• Proven experience delivering multi-channel marketing programmes in education or professional services.
• Strong skills in lead generation, nurture campaigns, SEO, paid search, content marketing, and social media.
• Confident in marketing planning and project delivery from start to finish.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, including government agencies and partners.
