In this role, we're looking for someone who is skilled at working with a diversity of stakeholders to identify their training and development needs and capable of using this insight to oversee the development, design, management and delivery of learning content on digital platforms..

As Network Learning and Development Manager, you will lead on the delivery of Learning and Development for our network of local Age UKs and national partners so that they can deliver high quality services to older people in their localities. Experience of designing high-quality, engaging, interactive and learner-centred online learning content is an essential requirement for this post.
We're looking for someone who can manage a variety of L&D projects and their delivery against set timelines, planning how the training will be delivered creatively, whilst engaging with stakeholders and supporting the 130+ local Age UKs and local Age Cymru partners in England and Wales, as well as Age UK nationally and our national partners in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
A strong team-player by nature, you'll work with other colleagues across the Network Support Division and the wider Age UK Group to communicate the vision for Network learning, with the goal to deliver strategic departmental objectives.

The Operations Manager is responsible for Dose of Nature’s day-to-day operational management, providing a welcoming and efficient front face and ensuring organisational effectiveness to support the delivery of Dose of Nature’s strategic objectives. Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature. We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Based in Harrow, we are a not-for-profit co-operative owned by our workers. We have in-depth knowledge of the local area and of who’s doing what. Internews seeks an experienced Project Director for a four-year European Commission (EC)-funded project to advance the global response to increasing the resilience of at-risk independent media. The Project Director will lead and manage a consortium of four international NGO and academic implementing partners, overseeing and coordinating the design and implementation of a diverse portfolio of activities in multiple countries worldwide, as well as project monitoring and evaluation and a robust learning agenda. Strong skills in project financial management and communications are required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Lead the Inception Phase of the project, working closely with consortium members, the EC, and other awardees to finalize target country selection, select research initiatives, draft the project workplan and monitoring and evaluation plan, and determine country-based activities.
· Serve as Internews’ primary point of contact with the European Commission, establishing and managing strong partnerships and dialogue with EC representatives in Brussels as well as country-level delegations.
· Effectively manage the project consortium, ensuring transparent communication processes and protocols.
· Pro-actively coordinate activity design and management with Internews Regional and Thematic Directors who manage Internews programming in key geographic regions and technical areas.
· Provide strategic, operational and representational assistance to ensure that activities are meeting their goals and targets, recommending program adjustments when necessary to keep the project on track;
· Regularly travel to London and Brussels, as well as target countries, for project and donor management purposes;
· Cultivate and strengthen relationships with local partner organizations and ensure that implementation is responsive to the needs of partners and beneficiaries;
· Track and report project progress and activities monthly against work plans;
· Oversee program monitoring and evaluation to ensure effective implementation and to measure activity impact;

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

- Work with the Communications Manager and Digital Officer to promote the use of the website by the targeted audience group as well as the HR community to post vacancies to the jobs board.
- Produce a quarterly report detailing the usage and any highlights regarding the website.
- Report any technical issues to the website provider and liaise with them to fix the issue.
Reporting
- Quarterly reporting on activity and budget to the Education and Training Committee.
- Supporting the Committee Chair by setting up Committee meetings and taking minutes.
- Supporting the Committee Chair with any other administration as necessary related to the Committee.
- Assist with any ad hoc administration as necessary related to the FIESTA Committee.
Miscellaneous
- Assisting the Education and Training Committee Chair with any administration in regard to the Masters Certificate Scheme.
- Send quarterly feedback surveys mentoring participants and collect the data for reporting purposes.
- Work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to promote Education and Training events.
- Keep the Education and Training budget up to date and process all invoices in a timely manner.
- Report back to all event sponsors after any Education and Training sponsored event to keep sponsors updated and aware of the events successes.

- Excellent administrative track record, with experience with an educational and/or charitable organisation.
- Highly motivated, dynamic, self-starter able to work largely on own initiative.
- Ability to plan, manage own time, work to deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communications, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills.
- The credibility to deal with people at all levels.
- IT and finance literate.

- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential: occasionally the post holder will need to perform tasks outside of the formal Job Description.
