The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.?

This role sits in the marketing and communications team which is within our engagement and income generation directorate. Your role will be to support the Digital Impact Lead in planning and delivering a range of exciting and ambitious digital development projects.

We're looking for a passionate digital advocate to join our team, to play a key role in delivering our ambitious digital improvement plans.

An excellent project manager, with a proven track record, you'll have significant responsibility and plenty of opportunity to input your ideas. In this pivotal role you will determine the direction of this significant digital project by aligning audience needs with business and technological requirements. We will look to you to take the lead for planning and developing high profile and quality digital activity, and to work with internal and external stakeholders to agree, communicate and deliver the project.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:?

-an understanding of digital audiences, with skills and knowledge to create intuitive user experience and easy ways for them to get involved with our work

-an evidence and results-driven approach, with an ability to analyse data to ensure projects are delivered to budget and targets achieved

-assertiveness, creativity, collaborative working and self-motivation as key skills in your armoury to ensure our digital offering is of the highest quality, and to deliver the best results possible.

-a strong methodology for managing projects effectively and for solving problems quickly as they arise eg Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2.

The Children's Society runs over 100 local services that help thousands of young people who desperately need our support, and we campaign to get laws and policies changed to make children's lives happier and safer.

Every day we're changing the lives of children in this country for the better - and with your help, tomorrow we can be there for even more.

The Children's Society is committed to safeguarding and protecting the children and young people that we work with. As such, all posts are subject to a safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks. We ensure that we have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practices across our services.

The closing date for applications is midnight on 1st of October 2020.

Interviews will be held on the week commencing 19th of October 2020.
