About the role:
The Direct Marketing Executive will play a key role in delivering high-quality direct marketing campaigns that drive income and engagement from individual supporters. Focusing on cash appeals and alternative gifts, this role will manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of multi-channel campaigns that inspire supporters to give, strengthen loyalty, and maximise return on investment.

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports around 3,600 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 170 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. We are seeking a creative and proactive Communications and Marketing Coordinator to play a pivotal role in telling Theatres Trust’s story, and the stories of the theatres we support, to a wider audience.
Working with the Head of Communications and Marketing, you will support the development and delivery of Theatres Trust’s communications strategy and contribute to embedding our brand and tone of voice across all our communications. You’ll join our International Energy Access team, primarily working on the multimillion-pound Efficiency for Access Coalition including the Low Energy Inclusive Appliances (LEIA) programme that aims to double the efficiency and halve the cost of off- and weak-grid appliances in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. This programme is funded by UK aid, from the UK government via the Transforming Energy Access platform, and IKEA Foundation, and delivered by Energy Saving Trust in partnership with CLASP.
As part of the International Energy Access team, you’ll contribute to meaningful initiatives that have real-world impact on improving lives and livelihoods, while helping to address the climate emergency.
