About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Virtual Events Team and contribute to the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of virtual events through effective acquisition campaigns and outstanding supporter experiences.

As Virtual Events Manager (Projects), you’ll help craft meaningful supporter journeys across email, SMS and other channels, using research and insights to inform your approach. You will drive acquisition across the portfolio, using data and insight to improve our digital marketing campaigns as well as actively monitoring the performance of live campaigns. You will be a key contact for our agencies and will develop strong working relationships with them.

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working and an expectation to work from their Greater London office 2 days per week. 

Reporting into the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Individual Giving team. You will be responsible for the delivery of core elements of the Supporter Acquisition programme, developing engaging communications / products and activity across multiple channels, such as paid search and social, email, telemarketing and offline channels. You will lead and deliver projects for the recruitment of new supporters to identify new audiences, optimise response, grow the supporter base and contribute to the lifetime value of supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Lead in the development and delivery of Supporter Acquisition campaigns/activity/products across a range of media, with a specific focus on digital channels, in line with strategy, planned budgets and targets, ensuring campaign deadlines are met.

•  Good project-management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, creative development, and supplier relationships for fundraising direct marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

Income generation

• Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
• Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets

  • Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content

Relationships

• Build strong working relationships with staff within various functions of the Ramblers

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience working within a target-driven fundraising or direct marketing team, ideally within an individual giving context
• Experience of managing fundraising or marketing projects across a range of channels, such as direct mail, social media and email
• Experience of data-driven marketing campaigns, including segmentation and campaign analysis to meet objectives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to a wide range of audiences
• Excellent creative skills, including the ability to write compelling, accurate and persuasive copy across a range of channels

The Talent Set are delighted to be partnering with Asthma + Lung UK to recruit an Individual Giving Manager, leading on the retention of existing supporters and working across regular giving, lottery, cash appeals, and the charity’s online shop.
The successful candidate will deliver and grow a multichannel retention programme to improve supporter loyalty and increase lifetime value. With a strong focus on digital, this role will also use direct mail, SMS and telemarketing to deliver insight-led, personalised supporter journeys alongside a skilled and ambitious team.

Key duties include:

• Lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of retention campaigns across digital, mail, SMS and phone, driving growth in income and engagement
• Deliver a high-performing mid-value donor programme
• Oversee the development of integrated, long-term journeys for new and existing supporters, in partnership with the IG Manager (Acquisition)
• Manage the online shop, including stock control, fulfilment and platform optimisation
• Build strong relationships with external suppliers and internal teams to ensure campaigns are effective, innovative and on-brand
• Report monthly on income and expenditure, finding opportunities to maximise ROI through reinvestment
• Foster a culture of testing, learning and innovation across the programme
• Line manage and develop the Individual Giving Officer

We’re looking for the following skills and experience for this role:

• Experience and confidence in delivering integrated direct marketing campaigns, both digital and offline, and has a strong understanding of data-led supporter engagement.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering retention and stewardship programmes across multiple channels
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead on campaign planning, budgeting and analysis
• Experience in managing external suppliers and creative agencies
• A collaborative approach, with strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience

About the role

We’re looking for a Associate Director of Brand & Marketing Communications with excellent brand, marketing and digital experience at a leadership level to lead our Brand and Marketing Communications Team.

You'll provide inspirational leadership to a key team at the heart of our organisation. You’ll be responsible for the development and execution of our brand, marketing and digital strategies. You'll also oversee the delivery of impactful and audience-driven campaigns that grow awareness, engagement and income for Young Lives vs Cancer while supporting our influencing goals.

You will be line managing our Head of Strategic Communications and Head of Digital to lead successful, teams who can creatively deliver on our organisational strategy.

The role demands an agile creative thinker with strong leadership, a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of our diverse audiences. As well as managing and inspiring your team, you’ll create strong connections throughout the organisation, ensuring everyone can access the strategic and creative services they need to tell the charity’s story in a way that really connects with people.

The Role

This includes pre-event planning and development, concept development and proposal.

Working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, you will design and deliver events which steward and develop key contacts as part of our Capital Appeal.

The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team.  You will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks.

35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
