The Regional Fundraisers role is to mobilise and maximise local fundraising activities in order to raise income to support the work of the charity.  Working to the Director of Fundraising and with other senior fundraising staff, develop and implement a comprehensive regional fundraising strategy to maximize income generation and donor engagement within the region.  You will be required to be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity as well as identify, cultivate, and grow relationships with community groups, schools, individuals, and corporate donors within the region, focusing on donor retention and growth.  You will also organise and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives within your region, including virtual and in-person events when applicable.

This is a home-based role covering a designated geographical area which you are required to live within, or be willing and able to relocate to.  There will be extensive travel across the region with the potential to be based in a local visitor centre at least 2 days per week.

Scotland –  within 50-mile radius of Aboyne in Aberdeenshire

South East – within a 50 mile radius of Snetterton, Norfolk

North East – within a 50 mile radius of Blackpool, Lancashire

We are looking for someone with experience in fundraising with a track record of successful donor cultivation and relationship management.  You will have a good knowledge of the local community in your region and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to support your work.. You will be a natural project manager with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.  You will need strong networking and interpersonal skills. You will work in a flexible and collaborative manner and be willing to travel within your designated area and across the UK as required.

The Learning and Development Coordinator will have responsibility for the coordination and administration of a range of learning and development activities and events for the Agbero2100 London programme.

The Learning and Development Coordinator will develop robust learning and development systems and processes. The role holder will be the first point of contact for learning and development queries and be responsible for all related administration, ensuring a ‘get it right first-time' ethos is adopted. Responsibilities will also include supporting the learning and development partners in capturing Agbero2100 London Programmes learning pan-London through a series of programmes covering communities practice learning opportunities, community leadership and enterprise development.

The Learning and Development Coordinator will report to the Learning Practice Director and the Agbero2100 Programme Manager in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning programmes and initiatives for the Agbero2100 Programme. The Learning and Development Coordinator will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop learning solutions, coordinate learning activities and measure learning outcomes.

You will be joining our expanding and dynamic team, with the freedom to work creatively with a committed group of volunteers and staff to support people who experience mental ill health in Bristol. 

We need someone who is passionate about our mission and who shares our values to increase awareness through marketing and communications, expanding our social media and website content and linking with local networks in order to support fundraising efforts. • Work collaboratively with data teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of Retention campaigns
• Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and relevant performance reviews
• Responsibility for collation of all KPI tracking, trend analysis and activity results that feed into the team’s reporting and performance structure 
• Work alongside the Content team to research and develop strong cases for support to appeal to existing donors. To gather information, case studies and photos for use in all direct marketing campaigns. Where appropriate, to liaise with external agencies such as designers and copywriters

We are an ambitious, dynamic and impactful charity. Following their sons’ diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson founded Duchenne UK in 2012. 

DMD is a devastating progressive condition diagnosed in early childhood which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken. There are currently only very limited treatment options for DMD, so Emily and Alex set up Duchenne UK to change this. 

Since 2012, we have raised more than £27 million to end the devastating impact of DMD.  We fund ground-breaking scientific research to find effective treatments. We’ve developed the infrastructure of DMD clinical trial delivery in the UK. We engage industry and regulators to accelerate access to treatments. We have an opportunity to join our team and build on these achievements. We are recruiting for maternity cover for our Personal Assistant and Office Manager, who will be a key part of our team and play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission.

This is an all-encompassing role for an accomplished and confident Personal Assistant to support the Founders and Director of Research of an innovative and ambitious charity and oversee the management of the Duchenne UK office.

The successful candidate will be highly organised with strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide variety of individuals, internally and externally. Reliability and a can‐do, proactive attitude is a must, along with having an outstanding commitment and sense of dedication to understanding, fulfilling and anticipating the principles' and office's needs and priorities.

The Personal Assistant and Office Manager will report to the Finance Manager and work alongside the Managing Director, CEO and Director of Research and Development.

Job Description:

 Duties to include, but not limited to:

• High volume diary management, including work and personal diary prioritisation and filtering out non-essential meetings.
• Answering, screening and responding as appropriate to incoming calls, visitors and correspondence.
• Preparing for internal and external meetings, calls and video conferences including confirming relevant materials are received, printed and bound for meetings.

• Management of travel arrangements. Scheduling and tracking domestic and international travel itineraries within several time zones.
• Administration support for the research team, including arranging meetings and assisting with event and meeting organisation.

• Management of expenses including arranging currency and processing expense claims in a timely manner.
• General office management and operational support including:
  • Liaising with suppliers / brokers (e.g. internet, energy, insurance)
  • Relationship management with office landlord
  • Overseeing office supplies and equipment
• Internal event organisation (e.g. staff away day, wellness day, staff meetings), including budget management, venue booking, overseeing delivery on site.

The experience needed

• An excellent command of the English language: written and verbal.

We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated people to take the role of Care Coordinator and join our fantastic PCN team. We will provide full training for the role. The Care Coordinator will be directed to undertake a key role in helping to drive improvements in health outcomes for patients through the delivery of early diagnosis and preventive work with a specific focus on improving the uptake of Health promotion & screening. The Care Coordinator role will support identified patients from all 7 practices across the PCN to navigate the NHS health care system and ensure that their care is coordinated.

Our PCN (PCN3) consists of 7 GP practices serving a diverse population of over 70,000 patients in and around Barnet. We enjoy excellent collaborative working relationships. Our practices are all high-achieving and innovative training practices, and our ethos is to develop our PCN with a focus on high quality, holistic patient care.  We are a strong PCN leadership team consisting of a Clinical Director & Head of Business Development & Transformation who are both aspirational and transformational. We require Care Coordinators who will complement the existing team through an enhanced passion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient services and to the wider agenda of team working.

We have a rich diversity of PCN staff who aim to provide a personalised care approach for our patients, including Administrative Ops Team, Pharmacists, Nursing Associate, First Contact Physiotherapists, Pharmacy Technicians, Care co-ordinators, Speciality Care Coordinator, Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Social Prescribers working alongside our GPs, nurses, and extended practice teams

The Hill End Charitable Trust are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to be our new project coordinator – working with our Centre Director on a wide variety of tasks to create and deliver the projects we need to transform our site and buildings.

The Hill End Outdoor Education Centre has been providing unique outdoor learning experiences to children and adults since the 1920s. Our mission is to provide exciting and meaningful day and residential learning experiences that inspire children, and every visitor, to enjoy and value nature and the outdoors. Managed for decades by local authorities, Hill End is now an independent charitable trust seeking to create a more sustainable future. 

The Role

We are seeking a Project Coordinator on a part-time basis to help us create and deliver our vision to develop our site and buildings for the future. This includes modernising our existing facilities, improving access and becoming more environmentally sustainable.

These are ambitious plans and we are not expecting to achieve everything at once. We are looking to create a series of distinct, prioritised projects so we can move forward and need more people capacity in our small team to do so.

The Project Coordinator is a new role, and will undertake the essential administrative, communication, planning and reporting needed to help make our plans a reality. In the first instance, this will be to assist with key building renovations and improvements such as creation of disabled facilities.

The Project Coordinator will not necessarily have formal project management experience, but must be able to pull together a wide-ranging set of requirements, create and improve processes and practices that will allow us to better manage our site development in future.

This role might suit someone wishing to work either three full days or part of each working day. We are happy to discuss flexible working hours.

Principal Duties

These will include:

Gathering and analysing management data

• Using customer bookings and finance systems to extract key information.
• Defining and reporting on key metrics to evaluate the progress and success of projects.
• Collating and using data as required to help with other key strategic tasks such as cost-benefit analysis and business cases.
•  Providing data as required to support business planning, funding bids, marketing and communication.

Project communication

• Identifying and engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders, such as partners, customers, contractors, consultants and planners.
• Putting in place systems for better project communication, internally and externally.
• Assisting with scheduling of tasks and meetings.
• Reporting as necessary to the Centre Director and Trustees.

Project coordination

• Helping to define project aims, needs and budgets in line with our strategic priorities.
• Obtaining quotations, costings and development options for Hill End to review and approve.
• Assisting with legal and contractual considerations.
• Putting in place new and robust systems to record project progress and next steps.
• Defining and improving existing management systems.
• Helping to create a new project management model for future development.

Knowledge, experience, skills and personal attributes required

The Centre has a small, dedicated staff who are all committed to the aims of the charity. The successful applicant will share the values and enthusiasm of the team. The successful applicant must have:

· Proficiency in standard office software packages (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel).

· Awareness of their responsibility to protect the safety and promote the welfare of young people visiting the Centre.

· A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

It would be an advantage to an applicant to have:

· A good overall standard of education.

· Project management experience.

· Previous experience with the construction industry or planning.

· Enthusiasm for education and outdoor learning.

We are seeking a Psychometrician for two days per week to lead psychometric analyses and interpret the examination results of the Royal College of Pathologists.

The College is responsible for the delivery of pathology examinations for doctors, scientists, oral pathologists (dentists) and veterinary pathologists in 17 specialties – the Fellowship examinations of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath). The FRCPath Part 1 is held online and is a test of knowledge while FRCPath Part 2 is held in person around the UK as well as in the Republic of Ireland and, for histopathology, in international centres such as Dubai and Egypt. The College is regulated by the General Medical Council for the medical examinations and the General Dental Council for the Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology examinations, but the examinations are open to all appropriately qualified candidates.

The FRCPath examinations are held twice a year in Spring and Autumn and attracts approximately 1,200 candidates per session across the specialties. While some examinations attract up to 200 candidates, some examinations consistently attract very small numbers of candidates, with a number of examination cohorts sitting somewhere in between. The Psychometrician will advise on the appropriate data collection methods for the examinations and undertake psychometric analyses of appropriate examination data for each examination session and will, in time, be asked to provide analysis of longitudinal data.

As the College continues to develop its examinations, the Psychometrician will possess sufficient expertise to provide advice on the appropriate psychometric tests to undertake for the specialty examinations as different formats or methods of delivery are considered.

The examinations are delivered by an examinations team in the College which sits within the Learning Directorate. Each specialty examination is supported by an appropriately qualified panel, led by a Panel Chair, all of whom are overseen by the Clinical Director of Examinations (a pathologist). The Psychometrician will be expected to communicate with a wide range of individuals regarding the College examinations, with varying levels of knowledge about psychometrics, and will provide training for examiners and staff on a regular basis.

The College is a professional membership organisation dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of pathology. There are currently approximately 12,000 members, all of whom are pathologists based in hospitals, universities and laboratories in the UK and overseas. The College’s main tasks are to set and maintain training standards for doctors and scientists, to advice on the appointment of consultant pathologists, to ensure the membership is kept up to date with current practice through the continuing professional development scheme, and to promote the latest developments in pathology by holding scientific meetings.

Inter Mediate is one of the world’s leading independent conflict resolution organisations. Operating out of London, it works in conflict zones around the world to support peace negotiations and advise on strategies to stop and prevent wars. This is an exciting opportunity to join its small, expert projects team as a Project Development Officer, supporting Inter Mediate’s Project Directors to advance peace negotiations with a special focus on conflicts in the Middle East and Africa.  

 Role summary

The Project Development Officer (PDO) will work within the Inter Mediate Projects Team under the guidance of the Projects Directors and coordination with the Deputy CEO, Operations Team and CEO, to:

• Support and implement Inter Mediate’s existing projects portfolio supporting peace talks and other high-level peace initiatives.
• Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders in conflict and peace processes, mainly in Africa and the Middle East
• Identify and develop entry points for new projects.
• Monitor and analyse political developments across areas relevant to Inter Mediate’s work.
• Research lessons from past peace efforts relevant to Inter Mediate’s current work.
• Support the Operations Team and Project Directors to prepare project proposals and budgets, narrative and financial reporting, and collect evidence of project impact.

Specific responsibilities:

•  Contribute to strategies to deliver Inter Mediate projects and institutional priorities.
• Support the Project Directors to cultivate and maintain relationships with key interlocutors and relevant experts in the field.
• Undertake travel, including to conflict settings.
• Draft high quality policy memos, speeches and concept notes for senior audiences.
• Provide logistical support for project delivery, including managing travel of project teams, interlocutors and consultants.
• Monitor media, think tanks and other analysis centres on conflict dynamics, and produce briefings and analytic papers for the CEO ahead of travel or engagement with key interlocutors.
• Oversee production of research papers on peacemaking lessons, based on demand from interlocutors.
• Scope for potential new projects and develop new project feasibility studies.
• Support the Project Directors and Operations Team in donor management and project accountability, including contributing to preparation of project proposals and budgets, and reporting in line with donor requirements.
• Compile project progress reports for senior management/trustees’ meetings.
• Represent IM in external contexts where necessary.
• Undertake other tasks in support of IM’s work overall as required.

Experience, qualifications and skills:

 Successful candidates would need to demonstrate:

• A masters degree in politics, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, international affairs, public policy or an equivalent subject. Relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu.
• Three years of work experience in conflict resolution or peace process support for a governmental, non-governmental or inter-governmental organisation, or an equivalent field such as diplomacy, humanitarian access, political risk advisory services, conflict journalism or conflict analysis. Experience relevant to West Africa and Middle East preferred.
• Excellent written English, and evidence of ability to produce high-quality written work to deadline.
• A strong understanding of political and conflict dynamics – particularly Africa and the Middle East - and the ability to produce well-structured and concise analysis
• Ability to operate successfully in high pressure, sensitive political environments and support high-level individuals
• Experience of work and travel in conflict-affected areas, and willingness to travel independently, with support from the Project Directors.
• Evidence of strong cross-cultural interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to support the smooth running of a small team, and willingness to take an “all hands on deck” approach when required.
• Fluency in French and/or Arabic or other languages (desirable)

We are looking for a confident and experienced individual to join our supportive team. Previous charity finance knowledge and Xero is helpful but not essential, above all we want an individual to be tenacious, curious, diligent and show strong initiative.
