PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• Manage and grow a transformational partnership between Allen & Overy Shearman (A&OS) and United for Global Mental Health (UnitedGMH), ensuring it delivers strategic value, visibility, and impact.
• Act aUnitedGMH’s lead within A&OS, and A&OS’s liaison within UnitedGMH to foster collaboration, alignment, and shared purpose across both organisations.
• Leverage A&OS’s global network, expertise, and community to advance UnitedGMH’s mission, amplify rights-based mental health advocacy, and drive strategic engagement to support fundraising.

ENGAGEMENT:

• Collaborate with partners and senior colleagues to design innovative campaigns and activities that drive fundraising engagement and maximise strategic value for UnitedGMH. 
• Coordinate across the fundraising team to ensure alignment, foster collaboration, and unlock shared opportunities. 
• Partner with the Director of Fundraising to develop annual plans and long-term strategies, integrating budget planning and impact forecasting.

DELIVERY:

• Partnership Delivery & Engagement
• Provide high-quality account management, working with A&OS to develop innovative ways to support UnitedGMH’s objectives and fundraising targets
• Deliver key pillars of the partnership, including:

1. First Hour, First Day
2. Pro Bono Projects and In-Kind Support
3. Programme Visits and Challenge Events
4. Global Office Fundraising Activities

• Collaborate with external agencies, travel providers, and suppliers to coordinate partnership activities
• Engage A&OS staff in UnitedGMH campaigns and events (e.g. International Youth Day, World Mental Health Day, Pride)
• Work closely with National Partners to gather and synthesise qualitative and quantitative evidence of impact, including stories, case studies and oversee financial grant management and reporting.

Provide timely and tailored support to A&OS, including:

1. Responding to queries
2. Delivering marketing assets and drafting communications
3. Creating content and campaign plans in collaboration with UnitedGMH’s communications team

• Compile regular updates to inspire A&OS staff and Ambassadors, in collaboration with their Marketing & Communications team.Liaise with the Global Mental Health Action Network team to share project updates and ensure programme delivery.
• Explore new opportunities to grow the quality and impact of the partnership, including potential new business initiatives.

Strategy & Sector Insight

• Stay informed on sector developments and competitor activity to inform innovative, legally sound partnership strategies.
• Support the Director of Fundraising in delivering the overall Corporate Partnerships strategy and operational plan.

Administration & Logistics

• Maintain a clear and accurate virtual filing system for all partnership activity and donations.
• Update relevant database records to ensure smooth tracking and reporting
• Conduct research and coordinate logistics for programme visits and events, with support from the Finance & Operations Officer

Learning & Development

• Take responsibility for personal learning and development, participating in supervision, training, and team meetings.

• Proven experience building and managing partnerships between charities and private sector companies to maximise fundraising, with a strong understanding of how both sides benefit.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and technically astute Project Manager to join our Projects team. This role will oversee projects that use artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to improve education access, equity, and outcomes across the three pillars of Theirworld’s work: Best Start in Life, A Safe Place to Learn, and Skills for the Future.

The successful candidate will support the development and delivery of innovative pilots, including projects that explore how AI and technology can equip children and youth with the competencies, digital fluency, and adaptive skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world. You will manage local partnerships, steer experimentation, and ensure robust learning cycles that contribute to Theirworld’s pilot-to-scale strategy.

This role is ideal for someone who seeks greater depth of knowledge, impact-driven, and excited to shape how emerging technologies can accelerate educational equity in low-resource settings.

This role is for maternity cover but with the possibility of extension.

Main Responsibilities

Project Management

• Manage a diverse portfolio of education projects across Theirworld’s three pillars – Best Start in Life, A Safe Place to Learn, and Skills for the Future, with an emphasis on those leveraging AI and emerging technologies.

• Oversee programme planning, budgeting, delivery, reporting and learning for projects, ensuring milestones are met, partners are supported, and learnings are captured.

• Lead on the implementation of projects that apply digital or AI driven solutions to improve learning outcomes, particularly within the Skills for the Future pillar.

• Ensure all projects are inclusive and aligned with Theirworld’s cross-cutting vital areas: gender, inclusion, climate, health & nutrition, and peace & security.

AI for Future Skills

• Identify and manage projects that apply AI tools to build transferable, digital, and job-relevant skills for youth.

• Explore and test the potential of AI to personalise learning, support educators, and close skills gaps in marginalised communities.

• Ensure ethical, context sensitive, and inclusive use of AI in education projects, especially for girls, children with disabilities, and crisis-affected learners.

Partner Management and Grant Oversight

• Lead relationships with local delivery partners, edtech companies, and civil society organisations to co-deliver impactful projects.

• Draft and manage contracts and reporting templates; support partners with MEL frameworks aligned with pilot-to-scale goals.

• Conduct partner check-ins, manage grants, track spending, and ensure timely reporting and adaptive learning.

Learning and Contribution to Strategy

• Document and disseminate learnings and emerging insights on AI in education.

• Contribute to Theirworld’s knowledge assets and participate in knowledge sharing platforms and global convenings.

• Support scale strategies by contributing to replication toolkits and packages based on pilot results.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with colleagues across Theirworld, including development, campaigns, advocacy, communications, and research teams, to ensure alignment, maximise impact, and foster shared learning.

• Actively contribute to cross-organisational initiatives, helping integrate projects into wider strategic objectives.

• Engage with our Development and Fundraising team to identify and support the cultivation of potential funders and supporters for the project pipeline 

• Provide additional support to the Director of Programmes and other team members as required to ensure the smooth delivery of projects and organisational priorities.

Experience, Skills and Character

• 5 - 7 years of experience in education, edtech, or AI-for-development projects.

• Proven project management experience delivering initiatives in partnership with local organisations, NGOs, or tech providers.

• Strong understanding of education systems, future skills development, and how technology (especially AI) can support them.

Global Advocacy Lead (Maternity Cover)

Depaul International oversees a group of leading homelessness charities working around the world to end homelessness. Depaul International is seeking a confident and strategic Global Advocacy Lead to champion our international advocacy work and strengthen the global response to homelessness.

This leadership role will focus on driving forward Depaul International’s global advocacy strategy during a period of maternity cover. Homelessness is a growing international challenge, yet lacks a unified global response. The National Pro Bono Centre brings together charities dedicated to providing pro bono legal services and improving access to justice. The role:

To build on our achievements, we are looking for someone to lead on strategy, to promote collaboration and coordination across the sector, to maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders, and to oversee and lead on the growth and development of our portfolio of projects and activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic leadership – Continuing to develop NPBC’s strategy in accordance with the vision, mission, strategic priorities, and values of the charity, working together with the Board of Trustees, staff, and our key stakeholders.
• Operational management - Ensuring that the organisation is run efficiently, with robust financial controls.  Managing the small team (3 permanent employees and 3 contractors).  Working with the team on projects and events management.

• Communications - Representing the NPBC in the promotion of its mission, vision and aims externally.

Hours: 14 hours per week (through an annualised hours working pattern).

Location: Remote working although the successful candidate will be expected to work from Cumberland Lodge a minimum of one day per month.  Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport, so alternative forms of transport (bicycle, car) are helpful.
