Job description

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) is seeking a Director to lead our small, dynamic charity. 

AFRIL works with vulnerable migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees in south east London. We aim to support our service users to overcome crisis issues and resolve longer term problems, supporting them to meaningfully integrate into the local community. The Director will be working with three experienced project leads to deliver our core services: the Helping Hands Foodbank Programme, Rainbow Club Supplementary School, and Advice and Advocacy Service. 

The Director will have overall responsibility for the day to day management of the charity, including fundraising, as well as supporting the development and delivery of projects. The Director will also work with project leads to develop strategy for the organisation, including communications and advocacy, building on our service users’ needs and aspirations.
