As Director of Income & External Affairs, you will be a key member of our Leadership Team, working closely with colleagues across the charity and with our Board. You will lead the growth of sustainable income, develop powerful and values-led partnerships, strengthen our public voice, and help shape a policy and advocacy agenda grounded in the experiences of people facing financial hardship. You will also play a vital role in building trust, credibility and influence across sectors to help shift the systems that keep people locked in financial insecurity.
We are looking for an exceptional and values-driven leader with a strong track record in relationship-based income generation, partnerships and influence. This experience may come from the charity sector or a commercial environment. Wells Cathedral’s Marketing & Communications Team delivers direction and support across all areas of Cathedral life, including visitor experience, fundraising, worship and music, events, venue hire, library and archives, as well as our Cathedral Shop and Loft Café. The Team covers the full scope of marketing and communications activities, including researching and identifying target audiences, designing strategic marketing plans, generating earned media exposure through PR activity, developing and implementing brand identity, and delivering integrated campaign creative across social, digital, print, broadcast and OOH channels.
Reporting the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Assistant will play a significant role in supporting the delivery of all of this, effectively and efficiently, across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting efficient workflow by responding to incoming requests and scheduling projects
- Enhancing online customer experience and engagement by providing real-time responses to social media DMs, comments and reviews
- Timely display and removal of onsite promotional and information banners, posters, flyers and POS material
- Assisting the Director of Marketing & Communications, Head of Filming and Content Creator during film crew, photographer, influencer and media visits

- Actively participating in team meetings both within Marketing & Communications, and with stakeholders across the organisation

Employment status: Permanent contract of employment

Hours of work: full-time, 35 working hours per week (Monday to Friday). Flexible working will be considered.
Remuneration: £25,000 per annum, payable on the 24th of the month or the nearest working day thereto

Parking: Limited parking is available in the Cathedral car park. Cars are parked at the risk of the owner.

About the role

You’ll know how to turn insight into action, how to use data intelligently (without losing the human touch), and how to lead teams through change with confidence and care. You’ll be comfortable holding performance, using financial and KPI information to support delivery and decision-making.
Just as importantly, you’ll recognise that our supporters aren’t just numbers or segments – they’re individuals who care deeply about our work and want to feel connected to the difference they’re helping to make.
You’ll lead the place where Mencap’s fundraising brand, proposition, and voice really come to life, designing experiences, appeals, campaigns and supporter journeys that reflect the voices and lived experiences of people with a learning disability and show the world why our work matters.

It holds Designated status recognising the national and international significance of the collections, totalling over 450 vehicles, spanning 135 years of the modern, classic, vintage and veteran eras, as well as an extensive archive.
This exciting new role is at the heart of redefining how the British Motor Museum communicates its purpose, impact and ambitions and the Head of Marketing and Communications will lead a proactive and future-focused marketing and communications strategy that amplifies Museum’s brand, engages new audiences, and supports commercial development, but also gives a clear and compelling voice to their charitable mission.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with the CEO to influence and deliver the Museum’s long term strategy. About the role
The Senior Legacy Manager will lead the development and delivery of London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s legacy programme, ensuring legacy giving is embedded across fundraising and marketing activity and is front of mind across the organisation.
This role is responsible for managing our legacy marketing programme, working closely with the marketing team to deliver compelling, sensitive and effective activity. The postholder will also oversee our outsourced legacy administration partner, ensuring legacy gifts are processed efficiently, compliantly and in line with best practice, through regular performance monitoring and review.
Working across the Fundraising and Marketing Directorate, the Senior Legacy Manager will champion legacies as a vital form of support, collaborating closely with all teams in the directorate. This will include working with the major donor team to identify and develop high-value legacy opportunities and supporting the community engagement team to integrate in-memory and legacy messaging into the community talks programme and engagement activity within the community.
The role also plays a key part in connecting our legacy and in-memory programmes, working with the community engagement team and the Deputy Director to develop a joined up in-memory strategy that ensures a coherent and compassionate supporter experience.
About the person
You’ll be an experienced and confident legacy fundraising professional with a passion for building long-term impact. You’ll be a strong collaborator who can influence across teams and seniority levels, and a persuasive advocate for the importance of legacy giving. You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery, ensuring legacy activity is well planned, insight led and supporter centred. Comfortable working across disciplines and a self-starter, you’ll play a key role in embedding a culture of legacies across London’s Air Ambulance Charity.

What You’ll Do:
As our Philanthropy Manager, you will lead our major donor programme and manage a growing portfolio of high-value individuals, trusts and partners. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising, Chief Executive and senior stakeholders, you will identify, cultivate and steward influential supporters, making compelling asks and demonstrating the real-world impact of their generosity. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing relationships with major donors, high-value individuals, family trusts and corporate partners
- Delivering an ambitious philanthropy strategy, annual plan and budget
- Building and maintaining a robust prospect pipeline through research, networking and relationship-building
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to develop fundraising propositions, related income sources, such as family trusts and corporate partners, and donor updates
· Tracking performance, managing income reporting and maintain accurate records
Who You Are:
We need a confident and inspirational relationship manager with a passion for animal welfare, who possesses:
- Previous experience working with high-net-worth individuals, either in the charity or commercial sector
- Proven success in major gift fundraising
- A strong understanding of major donor fundraising principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using CRM systems and managing donor data.

We are growing our Partnerships team within SU Network, and are looking to bring on board a Partnerships Manager to help us expand our media sales and partnerships offering. This would be ideal for a candidate with some media sales/ advertising sales/account management experience looking to step up, or a candidate who has worked in customer service, sales, or events, who wants to get into the world of advertising / media partnerships, working with major brands and the student market.
Within this position, you will support /manage the partnerships with key brands (including the likes of Domino’s Pizza!), businesses and media partners across SU Network’s portfolio of students’ unions and universities. This includes: overseeing experiential advertising campaigns and brand activations for clients across multiple university campuses; managing and facilitating digital advertising campaigns, including on websites, social media and digital screens; managing and coordinating stallholders and exhibitor bookings at promotional events; initiating, developing and managing partnerships across multiple accounts, working towards income targets at each.
SU Network is a media agency and is part of the wide range of sector leading services within KUTL, which includes catering, licensed trade, business development, retail and the nursery. With an annual combined turnover of £9 million, these make a huge impact upon the student experience.

About You
You will be a credible, values‑led leader with a strong background in regulated services and a passion for quality and safeguarding.
Essential experience and qualifications include:
- Senior leadership experience within supported housing, homelessness or a closely related regulated sector
- Proven success leading multi‑site services and senior operational leaders
- Strong track record in quality improvement, safeguarding, compliance and inspection readiness
- Sound financial and commercial awareness, including managing significant budgets and resources
- Lean Six Sigma qualification
- Level 5 Safeguarding qualification
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent)
