The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join their team in London or Brussels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution in a newly created role.   

As Finance Business Partner will help ensure that the financial processes and procedures of the Clean Air Fund run smoothly, efficiently and effectively, for the project and ensures enabling support to our project team members to be effective.

You will provide support across both the CAF’s Finance and project team and will take a business partnering approach in helping provide a robust financial service, particularly to our Programmes team (primarily in the EU) and our grantees (pan-EU and in nine EU Member States) to ensure new and existing grants are well managed and implemented. This role reviews and approves the financial and operational aspects of Clean Air Fund’s grants and projects, including due diligence and budgets.  In this role you will, alongside the Global Finance Manager, support the relevant portfolio teams as well as the Project Director, Head of Europe Portfolio, Executive Director of Programmes in managing their grant making budgets and with grant forecasting.  

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;

• Experienced finance business partner with grant financial management experience and a solutions focused approach.
• CCAB Accountancy qualification or equivalent by experience
• Sound knowledge of Charity SORP
• Experience of working in a global facing organisation and ability to adapt working style where appropriate
• Experience of building relationships with senior stakeholders and working collaboratively across teams. Ability to take a business partnering, solution focused approach.
• Able to analyse complex financial information and present it in a simple, easy to understand format
• High quality written and verbal communication skills
• IT proficiency (most specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in English. Additionally, knowledge of French would be considered an asset.

As Head of Media and Public Affairs you will lead, plan, develop and implement effective media and public affairs strategies to actively promote the RCPCH and its priorities for maximum influence and impact.

The Head of Media and Public Affairs is an important leadership role at the College. You will work closely with journalists and media organisations to champion the College in the media as well as securing political support for our policy messages, through stakeholder relationships within the UK Government, Whitehall and the Westminster Parliament.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Policy & External Affairs, you will manage, direct and motivate the team to successfully achieve performance goals. You will play a pivotal role in driving the College’s Westminster public affairs work to secure our advocacy goals and you will also manage the out-of-hours media rota, being flexible to be on-call to media as required. You will also take responsibility for preparing and monitoring the Media and Public Affairs team budget, ensuring that all operational expenditure is value for money.

Degree educated or with relevant professional experience you will have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing proactive media and public affairs strategies and a strong track record in leading, planning, implementing and evaluating integrated communications strategies.

With proven leadership and performance management skills, you should also have a background of working with and influencing senior managers and have proven stakeholder management skills, being able to develop and nurture high level contacts in media and government.

Experience of briefing senior staff to act as spokespeople through the media and in direct engagement with political stakeholders is essential. Direct experience of working within an organisation that delivers health or children’s services would be desirable.

• personally manage a portfolio of high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and major donors, leading on all aspects of relationship management, from prospect identification and tailored proposal development to bespoke stewardship and long-term engagement that secures six-, seven-, and eight-figure gifts,
• represent Dogs Trust internationally, strengthening our global profile and cultivating relationships that increase awareness of, and secure substantial philanthropic support for, our international programmes.

We are looking for a Research and Operations Manager to join our passionate fundraising team. You will play a pivotal role in driving high-value fundraising outcomes across Rethink Mental Illness and Mental Health UK by delivering a strategic, insight-led approach to prospect research and portfolio management.

Managing the Senior Philanthropy and Research Officer you will oversee the identification, qualification and prioritisation of prospects across Philanthropy, Trusts & Grants and Corporate Partnerships. About the Role

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you’ll be working with the Chief Executive, Board of Trustees, and Leadership Team to deliver £1.4m of income and establish a strong financial foundation for the new Youth Zone.

You’ll develop and drive income strategy, lead a high-performing Fundraising and Communications team, and personally manage relationships with key major donors, including local individuals and businesses supporting the Founder Patron campaign. Founder Patrons pledge at least £25k annually for four years, together these 34 Founder Patrons will ensure that the organisation has a strong financial position ensuring the team can transform the lives of 18,000 young people in the first four years.

About You

You will have a demonstrable track record of income generation through personally securing at least five figure major donor gifts from high net worth individual (HNWIs) and/or corporates, with an impressive track record in securing significant funds and meeting challenging financial targets, including both new business and account management

You will have experience of:

• Developing a new pipeline of HNWIs and/or corporate prospects and being pro-active in converting these to active donors.
• Developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies and aligned annual plans, with income and expenditure budgets, and associated fundraiser key performance indicators.
• Stewarding HNWIs and/or corporate donors, or key senior external stakeholders to maintain the highest levels of engagement.
• Managing and motivating team members to achieve their personal and collective goals.
• Working with and influencing senior leaders and peers within an organisation.

This is a brand-new locally run youth charity, set to provide thousands of young people with the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, try something new and feel safe.  The National Office Administrator will support the organisation from our National Office. They will provide key administrative support to central teams, including:

This support will enable teams to undertake their tasks effectively, efficiently, and promote quality experience for our supporters. The post-holder will develop relationships across CCT in supporting teams, maintaining a proactive, dynamic workplan in support of central operational requirements and national initiatives. 

They will be the primary point of contact for the National Office, coordinating the day-to-day running of the office and meeting spaces. The post holder will have responsibility for all office related administration and associated project work.

Overall purpose

 As the Finance Officer, you will be required to ensure that our income and expenditure records are accurate, complete, free from error and comply with both the relevant accounting standards as well as donor restrictions. This role will play a key part in ensuring that the recording of financial information is compliant and auditable, in both the finance system and CRM.

You will also work alongside the Head of Finance to support the wider organisation in its financial understanding and management. This support will focus on both the fundraising team to empower them to raise as many funds as possible, especially unrestricted funds, and the services team to ensure their financial processes are robust and efficient. You will also be expected to contribute to and uphold our outstanding culture by living and demonstrating our values of being mission-led, welcoming, entrepreneurial and collaborative.

Key responsibilities

Finance responsibilities

• Record all income and expenditure general ledger transactions in the finance system, ensuring correct coding and full supporting documentation is stored in either the finance system or in the CRM.
• Have ownership of both the sales ledger and purchase ledger, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately with the correct VAT treatment while adhering to the relevant controls.
• Ensure all staff and client expenses are captured and recorded accurately, adhere to the relevant expense policy and are paid in a timely manner.
• Prepare and post payment runs alongside the Head of Finance
• Support the Financial Accountant in the monthly bank reconciliation
• Participate in month end processes to ensure the I&E figure is accurate within the pre-determined deadline, including posting prepayments, deferrals and accruals where relevant and other accounting adjustments as needed such as grossing up of platform fees.
• Ensure all finance documentation is complete and auditable including restricted fund evidence, and ensure the relevant GAUs are tracked on salesforce.
• Capture all restricted fund income and expenditure is the finance system on a monthly basis (staff and non-staff) alongside the Financial Accountant and Head of Finance
• Understand clawback risk on grants
• Ensure Breaking Barriers is claiming gift aid where applicable and optimising opportunities to reclaim input VAT in our business/non-business VAT return
• Reconciling to third party platforms on a monthly basis including fundraising platforms and Equals
• Work with the Head of Finance to upskill the fundraising and service teams to ensure they understand necessary financial processes
• Undertake income and expenditure control activities e.g. checking for grant rejection letters and verifying changes to supplier details.
• Be the finance team’s superuser for the CRM
• Support in year-end audit and the creation of relevant notes
• Support with ad hoc projects such as the implementation of a new finance system and policy and procedure updates

Technology

• Support the Financial Accountant, Finance Director and outsourced technology provider as needed for ongoing technology support and occasional projects.

Office and facilities management

• Support the financial team and any applicable offices as needed for ongoing office and facility management

Cross-cutting

• Ensure staff are effectively onboarded and our knowledge management processes ensure that required information on the finance and ops processes is accessible and understood

The role

As Head of Operations, you will lead all operational functions of Foxglove. You will ensure that our finance, HR, legal compliance, fundraising, systems and internal processes enable the organisation to carry out its mission effectively. You’ll work across Foxglove and closely with leadership, as well as with external partners to build a resilient and well-governed organisation, able to manage growth and complexity while staying mission driven. This role manages one member of staff and multiple consultants.

Financial Management & Accounting

1.Oversee financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, expenditure controls, financial reporting, payroll.

2.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements and donor / funder financial reporting obligations.
