ABOUT THE ROLE:
The role is essential to delivering the charities income targets for Trusts and Foundations and developing long term relationships. In addition, the post holder will support the Head of Income Generation with approaching, reporting, and maintaining Trust and Foundation relationships for major appeals.
he Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts and foundations. The role is responsible for growing LDCT’s trust and foundation income by increasing the amount and longevity of funding from current supporters, as well as building a portfolio of new trusts and foundations through research, maintaining a pipeline of prospects, updating the Funding Matrix and making successful applications. Building good relationships with new funders including regular reporting, as well as good stewardship of existing funders, is an important part of the role.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Delivering on fundraising priorities and targets for trusts and foundations income, including our current and future major appeals.
- Researching, identifying, and prioritising appropriate trusts and foundations to maintain and convert a pipeline of new, prospective trusts and foundations.
- Working with colleagues across the organisation to help shape projects for funding and creating strong Cases for Support to ensure effective applications.
- Writing and submitting high quality targeted funding applications.
- Maintaining an effective stewardship programme for trusts and foundations including appropriate accurate records, ensuring the fundraising e-Tapestry database is kept up-todate and that fundraising income is processed efficiently with timely thank you letters and acknowledgements.
- Managing relationships with existing and new funders to encourage maximum funding, multi-year funding awards and repeat funding.
- Monitoring outcomes, updating the Funding Matrix and producing timely reports and information as required externally by funders and internally for Management reporting.
- Promoting the support of funders through press releases and social media posts.
- Adhering to standards of fundraising best practise as set out in the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practise and ensuring all activities comply with relevant Data Protection obligations and any other legislation
Contract - Permanent - following 6 months probation
Hours - Part time - 30 hours per week - Remote - hours can be worked flexibly throughout the week.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans as part of the UK-wide Volunteering Team, where you will play a critical role to lead on delivering strategic priority projects.
As the Volunteering Strategic Project Manager you will line manage the England Volunteering Development Officers, lead on the strategic oversight for volunteering across England, and work collaboratively across the team to ensure volunteering is impact-led, embeds equity, diversity, and inclusion, and meets the needs of the organisation as well as the local community.
Contributing to the five-year volunteering strategy, you will ensure continued growth and impact across our successful IT and Digital transformations.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as teams and colleagues across Sustrans, along with Partner Agencies, public and volunteering stakeholder groups and potential funders.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

As the Business Development Officer, you will support colleagues across the organisation bidding for tenders and grant funding, by helping to guide bid submissions through a series of steps, from initial assessment to submission to funder decision.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Policy and Public Affairs team, during an election year, delivering a number of vital pieces of research designed to improve walking, wheeling and cycling and transport more broadly.
As the Policy Officer, you will lead on delivering two key policy projects for Sustrans with support from our Head of Policy and Senior Policy Officer. You will help develop evidence, policy and practice working closely with colleagues to maximise long-term opportunities to help increase transport choice for people.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sustrans Behaviour Change and Engagement Team as it looks to encourage those in Harlow and the surrounding area to walk, wheel, and cycle.
As an Active Travel Project Officer in Harlow and Gilston Town (HGGT), you will assist in the delivery of the behaviour change programme to schools, workplaces and community groups. The project will encourage and enable the community to travel sustainably and actively, through various initiatives, events and competitions.
Your role will include duties such as the creation of materials and communications to increase the visibility of your work, delivering activities and events with a variety of people, reporting and presenting to stakeholders, and analysing surveys and other monitoring data.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as local community leaders, schools, businesses, local authority officers, along with all Sustrans colleagues within the region.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

Transition Together is seeking to continue the work of deepening connection and growing the voice of the Transition Movement in England and Wales through the freelance engagement of three Network Weavers. This exciting project will see this team, supported by Transition Together staff, co-design an in person Transition Assembly early next year to guide the future of our Movement in the UK as well as build relationships with Transitioners across Wales and England and connect to emerging and established networks across the UK. About the role
This is an exciting role to work with Sustrans as part of the Liveable Cities and Towns Team to increase the impact of our behaviour change work within schools across Southeast Wales.
The role involves promoting active travel (cycling, scooting and walking) to school age children, parents and staff at selected primary and secondary schools to reduce the number of pupils who are driven to school.
This exciting challenge will include working directly with local primary and secondary schools, working with relevant stakeholders, the provision of guidance and training to school staff and the delivery of practical activities to parents and pupils.
Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected to nominated schools across the region.
About you
With experience of working in a school setting with children and young people, of delivering skills training and of partnership working within a range of capabilities, you will have the ability to build strong working relationships.
Your enthusiasm will be motivational to others and your excellent written and verbal communication will complement your strong organisational and planning skills.

Ynglŷn â’r swydd
Dyma gyfle am rôl gyffrous yn gweithio gyda Sustrans fel rhan o’r Tîm Dinasoedd a Threfi Byw i gynyddu effaith ein gwaith newid ymddygiad mewn ysgolion ar draws De Ddwyrain Cymru.
Mae’r rôl yn golygu hyrwyddo teithio llesol (beicio, sgwtera a cherdded) ymysg plant oedran ysgol, rhieni a staff mewn ysgolion cynradd ac uwchradd dethol er mwyn lleihau’r nifer o ddisgyblion sy’n cael eu gyrru i’r ysgol.
Bydd yr her gyffrous hon yn cynnwys gweithio’n uniongyrchol gydag ysgolion cynradd ac uwchradd lleol, gan weithio gyda rhanddeiliaid perthnasol, darparu arweiniad a hyfforddiant i staff ysgolion a chynnal gweithgareddau ymarferol gyda rhieni a disgyblion.
Dylai ymgeiswyr fod wedi’u lleoli o fewn yr ardal ddaearyddol, a disgwylir teithio’n rheolaidd i ysgolion a bennwyd ar draws y rhanbarth.
Amdanoch chi
Bydd gennych brofiad o weithio mewn amgylchedd ysgolion gyda phlant a phobl ifanc, o gynnal hyfforddiant sgiliau ac o weithio mewn partneriaeth o fewn amrywiaeth o feysydd gallu, a byddwch yn meddu ar y gallu i feithrin perthynas waith gadarn.
Bydd eich brwdfrydedd yn ysgogi eraill a bydd eich cyfathrebu ysgrifenedig a llafar rhagorol yn cyfannu eich sgiliau trefniadol a chynllunio cadarn.
Mae llythrennedd TG yn hanfodol, ac felly hefyd ddealltwriaeth o leoliadau ysgolion a manteision iechyd teithio llesol.Byddwch hefyd yn ymrwymedig i deithio llesol a hyrwyddo trafnidiaeth gynaliadwy.
Byddwch yn unigolyn sy’n fedrus wrth ddangos natur agored, gynhwysol, ynghyd â sensitifrwydd a’r gallu i ryngweithio gyda pharch gyda holl bobl a deall gwahaniaethau unigolion. Mae hyn yn cynnwys eich hyfedredd wrth ddefnyddio’r iaith Gymraeg ar lefel sgwrsio.
