About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.  
 

Job Purpose:

Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive advocacy and support to a caseload of women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with the criminal justice system.

We are looking for an experienced Media and PR Manager to join our dynamic Marketing and Communications team. The successful candidate will have developed a strong news sense, either as a journalist or from working in a media engagement role within a broader communications team. Title: Data and Reporting Officer – Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) 

Salary: £29,400 to £34,600pa

About the role 

Sightsavers work in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) contributes to a range of public health problems to reduce disparities, lower disease burdens, and build locally owned sustainable health programs. The NTD Data and Reporting Officer sits within the NTD Surveillance unit and provides a single point of contact for programme and country teams on data monitoring and reporting. 

The position will be based in the UK, with occasional travel to Sightsavers headquarters in Haywards Heath, and international travel up to four weeks per year. 

As the NTD Data and Reporting Officer you will help standardise, consolidate and continuously improve directorate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) tools and processes, maintain data architecture for NTDs, ensuring core organisational data assets are of high quality, cohesive and accessible, and manage secure storage for NTD data reporting. 

Further responsibilities include: 

• Maintain a cross-departmental M&E calendar. 

• Develop and disseminate and track quarterly planning and reporting templates for country office/partners. 

• Quality check data submissions prior to consolidation against organisational data policy. 

• Ensure programme plans (targets) and associated performance data (actuals) are timely and accurately entered in core organisational data systems. 

• Process and analyse large, complex datasets on request for directorate senior management, donors and partners. 

• Conduct detailed reviews of donor reports, narratives and press releases to ensure any referenced data is accurate and appropriately referenced.

• Provide day to day capacity building and support for directorate and country office staff on data monitoring and reporting. 

• Provide ongoing support to licensed NTD data systems, including acting as a first point of contact for the directorate NTD data helpdesk. 

• Participate in NTD programme and team meetings.

Skills and Experience 

As the successful candidate you will possess practical experience or an undergraduate degree in international development, public health, international relations, geography, statistics, or an appropriate equivalent. You will also have excellent English language skills, have an understanding of international development issues and a commitment to equality of opportunity for people with disabilities, and have experience within data reporting and monitoring. 

Further requirements include: 

Essential 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets. 

• Understanding of data privacy and best practices in data security. 

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to identify critical issues and communicate these effectively to colleagues. 

• Able to facilitate group-training sessions, with a focus on programme systems and data, building capacity in developing country contexts in areas relevant to position. 

• Advanced Excel skills, and proficiency with Microsoft suite. 

• Knowledge and understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation reporting. 

• Experience processing and analysing large and complex data sets. 

Desirable 

• Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese. 

• Experience of working in different countries, preferable within NTDs or the public health sector. 

• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data visualisation platforms, such as PowerBI and Tableau.

The Role

The Fundraising Manager will lead on the delivery of a sustainable and diverse fundraising strategy. The main responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering a fundraising strategy and annual income plan.
• Growing sustainable income across all fundraising streams, predominantly Community, Individual Giving, Corporate partnerships and Events.
• Building, nurturing and stewarding supporter relationships.

We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious individual with a proven track record of delivering fundraising income and a knowledge of a variety of income streams. You should also have an understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR, and a keenness to keep abreast of fundraising best practice.

Additionally, you should be excellent at building relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You must be organised, driven and resilient, and able to multitask effectively in this varied and interesting role. About the Role
 
As Specialist Applications Casework Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the evaluation of specialist surgical applications for the GMC register. Working closely with subject matter experts and the Head of Specialist Applications, you’ll manage a fast-paced caseload, ensure deadlines are met, and help maintain the highest standards in specialist registration. You’ll also assist with appeals, produce clear guidance, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Manage specialist applications, supporting evaluators and the assessment process
• Circulate applications, minute meetings, draft correspondence, and organise virtual evaluation meetings
• Provide guidance on regulations and legislation for specialist registration
• Draft and update guidance and training materials for assessment panels and applicants
• Track application progress and ensure contractual deadlines are met
• Maintain accurate records and databases
• Support and deputise for the Head of Specialist Applications, including appeals preparation
• Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders, sometimes deputising as needed
• Contribute to process reviews and regular reporting

 
Skills / Experience Required
 
Essential:
 

• Degree-level education or equivalent experience
• Experience managing a busy workload and using databases/IT systems
• Excellent written English, including report writing
• Ability to synthesise and present complex information clearly
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
• Confident user of Microsoft 365

 
Desirable:
 

• Background in health regulation (e.g., GMC or similar)
• Caseworking or accreditation experience
• Experience in healthcare, education, or training organisations

We are looking for a Complementary Therapies Coordinator to provide complementary therapies to our patients and carers, as well as working with our multi-professional team and coordinate the complementary therapy volunteers to provide a high standard support to our patients and families.

About you:

You will have experience of working with people affected by a life-limiting illness, as well as experience in different complementary therapies such as aromatherapy, massage, or reflexology. You will have a CNHC professional registration or relevant.

With strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and service databases, you'll ensure accurate and effective record-keeping. You'll have hands-on experience in recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, training, and managing disciplinary and grievance processes. A solid understanding of safeguarding and the ability to respond appropriately is essential, alongside knowledge of assessing, planning, and reviewing support and safety plans. You'll understand the value of co-production and be committed to working in partnership with service users.
