The Fundraising & Marketing Team at LGBT Foundation is a small yet collaborative group of professionals. They are dedicated to advancing the visibility and impact of the UK’s leading health and wellbeing charity. The team is responsible for implementing wide-ranging fundraising, communication, and marketing strategies. By leveraging various channels such as email marketing, the organisation’s website, video, social media, OOH advertising and traditional media, the team strives to support the national visibility, brand awareness, impact storytelling and income generation of the charity by attracting, engaging and stewarding a growing supporter base. LGBT Foundation’s Partnerships & Philanthropy Advisor will work with fundraising & marketing colleagues to deliver against strategic objectives and achieve in-year financial targets, significantly increasing income and support, specifically from corporates, individual giving (donations), legacies and fundraising events. In this role as a Partnerships & Philanthropy Advisor, corporate partnerships (attraction, engagement, and retention) will be a priority, ensuring members see the value in our offer.
You will also work with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing to shape four individual giving campaigns a year and two legacy awareness campaigns a year. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to keep fundraising information on webpages and social channels active, ensuring regular promotion of charity challenges and shaping digital mobilisation efforts which will build the charity’s supporter base, attracting more new donors.
You will support regular reporting on performance towards financial targets, working closely with colleagues to reconcile income, ensure Salesforce records and reports are up-to-date and that integrations support automated data flows.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Fundraising Officer to join the Heartlands Hospital Charity Team.
Your role will be key in helping to build new relationships with the public to provide information about the work of the Charity and inspiring people to fundraise, as well as hospital staff within Heartlands Hospital.
About the Role
As a Heartlands Fundraising Officer you will primarily be based at Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham, with occasional travel to other hospital sites and off site to attend meetings and events.
You will be key in helping to build new relationships with the public and hospital staff within Heartlands Hospital, as well as with existing supporters.
The role includes proactively going out to meet people to provide information about the work of the Charity and inspiring people to fundraise. It also involves spending time in the Charity Hub to speak to hospital staff, patients and members of the public and tell them more about our work.
Within the role there is opportunity to grow and develop into areas of interest and learn about the work of the wider charity.
The Fundraising Officer will work closely with other members of the hospital charity, providing secretarial and administrative support to the Fundraising Team and the Charity overall, including having responsibility for accurate data inputting of donations, fundraising and Gift Aid claims and correspondence with donors and fundraisers.
The role will involve lots of face-to-face fundraising so it would suit someone who is very sociable and is confident talking about the Charity to a variety of audiences.
This role will involve occasional evening and weekend work at charity events and events organised by our supporters.

Duties and responsibilities
- Research new opportunities for Action Tutoring to explore for fundraising and carry out initial enquiries to determine suitability to apply to trusts and foundations.
- Prepare and submit grant applications to suitable trusts, foundations and corporates, carrying out careful research to ensure the applications are as strong as possible and include relevant data and case studies.
- Work alongside the Corporate Partnerships Team to encourage corporate support through donations or grants.
- Identify and lead on local fundraising opportunities in Action Tutoring’s nine key regions, for example researching and submitting applications for local grants and to local businesses.
- Research and determine suitability of profile raising opportunities or awards for Action Tutoring to apply to, such as corporate Charity of the Year opportunities, the Third Sector Awards and Charity Awards.

Qualifications criteria:
- Previous experience in fundraising, or transferable experience that shows strong writing skills.

Role Overview: Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Fundraiser will lead funding applications, relationship-building with donors and stakeholders, and the development of systems and tools to support sustainable growth and income generation through fundraising.
Role Tasks and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Inform development of a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the charity’s mission, long-term goals, and emerging priorities.
- Identify and develop fundraising-related policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Provide strategic advice to the CEO on funder requirements, including appropriate metrics, outcomes, and impact reporting expectations.
Fundraising and Income Generation:

- Identify, develop, and submit funding bids and proposals.
- Ensure that the charity's website and digital channels are optimised to support fundraising efforts, including donor journey mapping and supporter newsletters.
- Develop, launch, and oversee a legacy donation programme, including campaign planning.
- Use and develop AI ‘training’ document/s to enhance the efficiency and quality of funding applications.
Relationship Building and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Map and cultivate relationships with donors, funders, members, and other stakeholders, including individuals within the network who have capacity to give.
- Attend the board’s fundraising subcommittee, working closely with the CEO and trustee board subcommittee representative to agree agendas and facilitate meetings.
- Provide regular updates to the CEO on fundraising progress, opportunities, challenges, and risks.
Operational Development and Systems:
- Support the adoption and use of Beacon (CRM platform), contributing to the development of internal fundraising systems and processes.
