Role Purpose 

The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic, operational and values-led leadership for Home-Start Norfolk, ensuring the charity delivers its mission, supports its families effectively and remains financially sustainable. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the CEO will lead the organisation’s strategy, people, services, partnerships, governance, income generation and volunteer strategy, while acting as an ambassador for the charity and its work. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership 

• Lead the development and delivery of the charity’s strategic plan in partnership with the Board of Trustees. 

• Translate the charity’s vision, mission and values into clear priorities, measurable objectives and effective operational plans.

• Ensure services and activities remain responsive to beneficiary needs and changing external circumstances. 

Governance, Compliance and Risk 

• Support the Board of Trustees to fulfil its governance responsibilities through clear reporting, sound advice and timely information. 

• Ensure the charity complies with charity law, company law where applicable, employment law, fundraising regulation, data protection requirements, safeguarding duties and all relevant regulatory obligations. 

• Maintain a robust approach to risk management, internal controls, policies and procedures. 

• Promote transparency, accountability and ethical decision-making across the organisation. 

Financial Leadership and Income Generation 

• Provide overall leadership for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-term sustainability. 

• Work with trustees and senior colleagues to ensure resources are used effectively and in line with charitable objectives. 

• Lead the development of a diverse and resilient income strategy, including grants, trusts and foundations, individual giving, corporate partnerships, contracts and other appropriate income streams. 

• Maintain strong relationships with funders, commissioners, donors and supporters, ensuring excellent stewardship and reporting. 

Service Delivery, Quality and Impact 

• Ensure the charity delivers high-quality, safe and effective services that achieve positive outcomes for families. 

• Embed continuous improvement, evidence-based practice and meaningful beneficiary involvement. 

• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and impact reporting to demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the charity’s work. 

• Champion safeguarding, inclusion, accessibility and dignity in all areas of service delivery. 

• Comply with Home-Start UK’s Quality Audit Policies and Process, to ensure the charity maintains a high standard of quality assurance. 

People, Culture and Organisational Development 

• Lead, support and develop the senior leadership team and staff, creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture. 

• Ensure the charity has the right structures, systems, skills and capacity to deliver its strategy. 

• Promote wellbeing, learning, accountability and collaboration across the organisation. 

• Ensure effective HR, performance management and recruitment practices are in place. 

Volunteer Leadership 

• Provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of the charity’s volunteer strategy, ensuring it supports organisational priorities and beneficiary needs. 

• Oversee effective volunteer recruitment, induction, training, supervision, support, retention and recognition. 

• Ensure volunteers are valued, well-supported, appropriately deployed and able to contribute safely and confidently to the charity’s work. 

• Develop a sustainable volunteer workforce plan, identifying current and future volunteer capacity, skills and support requirements. 

• Promote a positive volunteering culture that reflects the charity’s values and strengthens engagement, inclusion and community connection. 

External Relations, Partnerships and Advocacy 

• Act as the public face and senior ambassador for the charity, representing it with credibility and confidence. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, partners, funders, commissioners, local communities, statutory bodies and sector networks. 

• Raise the charity’s profile and influence through effective communications, thought leadership and advocacy. 

• Promote collaboration and partnership working to extend reach, improve outcomes and strengthen sustainability.

What we are looking for:

Job title: Impact and Communications Officer

We're looking for a curious and capable Impact and Communications Officer to help us find, assess, report on and support some of the world’s highest impact climate and nature charities. 

Internally, you will play a critical role in supporting the research on charities within our portfolio that our Due Diligence Committee oversees – helping develop our methodology and feeding into charity selection and assessment projects. You’ll help write impact reports and coordinate webinars for our network about our charities. You’ll also manage, update and clean leads in our CRM (Beacon), and support month-end financial processing. 

Externally, you will produce much of the Global Returns Project’s communications content, telling compelling stories about cutting-edge environmental projects. You’ll assist with scheduling and sending our newsletters, keeping our website up-to-date, and editing video content. As we generate support for our portfolio via public campaigns and match-funding initiatives, you’ll help coordinate these efforts in line with the strategy set by the wider team.

About the role

The Fundraising Strategy and Operations team delivers high quality operations support to the wider Fundraising Directorate including Strategic Liaison with Service teams, Compliance, Supporter Journeys and Communications, and Supporter Care.

The role sits within our friendly and dedicated Supporter Care team. In addition to providing operations support to the Fundraising Directorate, the team provides a high standard of customer service to Centrepoint supporters and members of the public. 

The role works alongside two other Officers and the team Manager to help steward and grow our compassionate supporter base, securing Centrepoint’s long term future, and enabling us to reach our strategic goals through helping to maximise fundraised income and increase donor loyalty.

The role involves working independently, collaborating with colleagues and third-party suppliers, and using a variety of technical systems to fulfil a range of supporter-related responsibilities.

These include, but are not limited to, liaising with existing and prospective supporters, managing fundraising complaints, processing donations, processing supporter data; and ensuring all tasks are carried out in compliance with GDPR, Data Protection, and other regulatory requirements.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Data Management Officer to join the charity’s Data and Insights Function. You will be joining the charity at a time of significant opportunity as we continue to strengthen our approach to data, insight and supporter engagement.

The Data Management Officer will mainly be responsible for managing and developing our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and supporter data. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CRM and data professional who enjoys hands-on responsibility for systems, process improvement and data management, and enabling colleagues to deliver exceptional fundraising, marketing and supporter engagement activity. Working closely with teams across the charity, you will ensure our CRM remains effective, compliant and fit for purpose while helping us better understand and engage our supporters. This role can be offered on a fully remote basis, with the option to work from Perth Airport, where SCAA headquarters are located or our Aberdeen base at Aberdeen Airport, if preferred. Occasional travel to our Perth base will be required for the successful candidate. SCAA supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements—our current approach typically includes two office days per week for those working on a hybrid basis. Essential

• Proven experience managing CRM systems in a charity or fundraising context and being comfortable working with large datasets.

• Experience with data segmentation, ETL processes, transformation and import / export processes.

• Strong understanding of data protection legislation (e.g. GDPR).

• Understanding of Gift Aid regulations and charity fundraising compliance.

• Confident using query tools and an understanding of query-based data extraction.

Summary of position

The Kids Network, London’s award-winning mentoring charity for children aged 8-11, is looking for a Community Fundraising Officer to join our small, successful fundraising team.

Job Title: Philanthropy Officer

Reporting to: Philanthropy Manager

Purpose of the Role

The role of the Philanthropy Officer is to manage the gift administration and stewardship of supporters, lead on the stewardship of regular and individual givers, and support the Philanthropy Manager to grow the Individual Giving income stream for Chance to Shine. 

This includes responsibility for the coordination of individual giving campaigns, management of the administration of legacy gifts, and wider regular giving campaigns and appeals.

Key responsibilities

Supporter Care

• Ensure all donations are efficiently and accurately recorded and acknowledged in a timely fashion.
• Process all individual giving bank donations including website/third-party fundraising/gift-collection platforms and ensure they are efficiently and accurately entered onto our Raisers Edge database and processed (cash, cheques, credit cards, Direct Debits and vouchers) daily. 
• Maintain accurate electronic supporter records including donations, personal details, Gift Aid declarations, communication preferences and any other data relating to their support. 
• Write and update template thank you letters. 
• Respond to donor enquiries and provide personalised information as and when requested.
• Work with the Philanthropy Manager and the Communications and Marketing team to develop the supporter care strategy, proactively identifying and implementing new ways of improving supporter care.

Supporter Cultivation 

• Coordinate appeals and campaigns to help upgrade supporters and bring in new donors.
• Regularly identify lapsed committed supporters with a view to reengaging them via fundraising cultivation. 
• Produce copy for fundraising materials alongside the Communications and Marketing team and organise the distribution of these materials to supporters in a coordinated manner. 
• Support the Philanthropy Manager on the organisation and execution of project visits for supporters including attending visits where needed. 
• Support the Philanthropy Manager and Director of Fundraising with funding proposals and reports as needed.
• Support the Philanthropy Manager and Director of Fundraising when preparing for meetings and calls with current and prospective new supporters.
• Support on the research and identification of new prospects

Legacy gifts

• Lead on communications with legacy and in-memory supporters to ensure that this is sensitively managed and reflects the values of Chance to Shine. 
• Monitor and maintain legacy gifts on the database and support with the administration of legacies for the organisation.

Compliance and Data Protection

• Support on data protection compliance for the fundraising team working with the Director of Finance and Resources and Fundraising team as appropriate.
• Ensure all fundraising processes comply with data protection regulations, (including Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR) the Code of Fundraising Practice and any other regulatory bodies. 
• Lead on updating supporters’ consent and preferences to comply with fundraising regulations and best practice.

General Support 

• Manage fundraising income administration, including donation processing and income reconciliation with Finance Team.
• Lead on organisational Gift Aid, including Gift Aid promotion and submitting claims.
• Undertake other responsibilities not outlined above which are commensurate with a role of this nature and which have been discussed and agreed with the line manager.

Fundraising Operations

CRM Development & Improvement
