We are seeking a highly efficient, collaborative professional with a keen eye for detail to work closely with the CEO in a supporting role. This role will be critical to the functioning and effective governance of the organisation, providing a broad range of support as required. Purpose of the role

To deliver the Day One Casework bedside model to patients, or those closest to them, impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences, such as disability or death, within Leeds General Infirmary Hospital, providing support on some of the wards (such as rehabilitation), on-site clinics and other settings (e.g. rehabilitation centres). 

Have a visible physical presence within the Trust, becoming embedded into clinical teams focussing on major trauma pathways, facilitating outpatient and in-person legal clinics.

Key Responsibilites

The post holder’s primary duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

• Work closely, and in partnership, with NHS clinical staff and relevant community and voluntary sector organisations, to address the needs of patients, and those closest to them, affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

• Operate a case management approach to individuals, assessing and identifying needs, putting support in place including signposting, making referrals and direct support. 

• Provide consistency in assessment of all patients and their loved ones, irrespective of injury cause, age, status, giving access to the earliest possible specialist legal advice which supports rehabilitation and NHS cost recovery. 

• Maintain detailed case records, including accurate records of activity and intervention, using Day One’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, capturing and storing data in line with Day One policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 

• Contributing towards report writing through the writing case studies and narrative to support data collection. 

• Implement processes and procedures to collect patient and family feedback and contribute to ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Day One services through providing relevant information, case studies and reports. 

• Deliver awareness raising presentations to clinical colleagues and departments. 

• Organise and facilitate outpatient and in person legal clinic drop-in sessions. 

• Build awareness of the role and charity’s purpose through building strong and effective relationships across the regional major trauma network, ensuring those who need it have access to Day One support. 

• Work closely with local authority, statutory and voluntary organisations to provide patient and family support and advocacy. 

• Help establish other support mechanisms once a person is no longer within the hospital setting, supporting the patient discharge process in conjunction with leadership from NHS staff. 

• Identify and support the recruitment and supervision of Day One volunteers, where appropriate. 

• Work closely in partnership with our Peer Support Service, focussed on promoting awareness and uptake within the region. 

• Work closely with the wider team on performance, quality, safety and effectiveness of all services, ensuring appropriate safeguarding policies are followed. 

• Work closely with our Fundraising and Communications team, supporting national activity, as well as regional initiatives to raise awareness and fundraise. 

• Be prepared to travel across the region and, on occasion, to other sites and national meetings as required. 

• Willingness to undertake continuous development and training for the role, including mandatory Day One and NHS Trust specific training. 

• Participate in external clinical supervision and monthly caseworker reflective practice to sessions to effectively explore and uphold professional boundaries within a safe, structure and supportive environment.

To work closely with those impacted by serious and life-changing injury, taking referrals and carrying out initial assessments of need, expertly navigating, signposting and putting services in place in the immediate aftermath of major trauma, including talking about and facilitating timely access to legal support to aid rehabilitation.

To establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders to promote Day One and address the needs of those affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

To work as part of the wider Day One Service’s team and organisation, taking responsibility for own record keeping and data collection in line with regulatory requirements.

About the Service
The Women’s Alliance Service is a new multi-agency service which provides holistic, trauma-informed and gender-responsive support to women and girls across York and North Yorkshire, including those facing barriers to engagement such as those living in the most rural communities and those belonging to minority groups.

Support is delivered through women’s centres, multi-agency drop-ins and the Liberty Links outreach model, using a mobile transit vehicle to reach women in the most isolated communities.

About this key role

You will provide direct, trauma-informed casework support to women across North Yorkshire, completing assessments, safety planning and action planning in collaboration with service users.

Working from York or Scarborough Women’s Centre, you will also deliver outreach support using a Liberty Links transit vehicle, travelling to rural and community-based locations to engage women who may not otherwise access services.

You will build strong, trusting relationships with women and work closely with partner agencies including police, probation, health services and voluntary organisations to ensure coordinated, holistic support.

You will also play a key role in supporting women to achieve positive outcomes, including increased safety, improved wellbeing, reduced risk and greater engagement with services and community support.

What we are looking for

• Proven ability and experience as a caseworker delivering trauma responsive and gender specific interventions to achieve positive outcomes.
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, e.g. people who have complex needs, those from disadvantaged backgrounds and people who have experienced homelessness, substance misuse, exploitation or domestic abuse.
• Experience of 1:1 casework, including support planning, risk assessment and safeguarding
• Experience of working collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve shared outcomes
• Ability to engage effectively with people who may be reluctant, distressed or hard to reach
• Strong communication, relationship-building and advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently in community and outreach settings, including rural locations
• Good organisational and IT skills, including accurate case recording and reporting

AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment.  As part of this we provide bespoke travel training on London’s public transport network to and from school, college and work placements in the North London area.

We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible candidates to train and support young people to travel specified journeys safely and independently using public transport.

Overall Job Purpose

To train and support a young person to travel a specified journey safely and independently using public transport.  Record your observations and give feedback to the travel training coordinator, the young person and their family.  To take part in reviews of training as it progresses.

Working Conditions

• Casual working assignment with no minimum hours guaranteed

• Each assignment must be mutually agreed by both parties

Responsibilities

• Support a young person door-to-door as they travel on public transport.
• Familiarise yourself with the following documents –

1. Journey Plan – describes the route you and the trainee will follow, and the alternative route(s) if the need arises. 
2. Risk Assessment – outlines the support needs of the trainee, and risks and strategies to mitigate them.

• Record your observations using standardised forms and relay your observations to the travel training coordinator on a weekly basis.
• Allow the young person to learn independently and only guide, support or intervene when necessary (this will be included in your induction)
• Approach travel training in a positive manner by reinforcing achievements and viewing obstacles as opportunities to learn.  Discuss strategies and agree solutions with the young person, their family and the travel training coordinator.
• To contact the travel training coordinator immediately if there are any emergencies or unexpected situations.
• Ensure that the young person is trained to use the alternative route safely and independently.
• Ensure that the young person learns and/or knows how to contact parents or carers in case of an emergency
• Any issues or concerns must be raised with the travel training coordinator or the business development manager.

That's why they're here, to gain support for them make a change to enable greater independence and recovery.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals. 

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings.
• Support residents to achieve their desired goals/outcomes in various ways.
• Empower residents to make decisions to take control over their lives, by creating an enabling environment.
• Supporting residents to build independence and progress in their healing through engaging activities, from movie nights and arts and crafts to brunch club and fully funded day trips.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary.
• Keep support plans updated on our online portals as appropriate.

The Project Support Officer will provide administrative support to programmes across the VCS Alliance, working closely with lead staff to ensure tailored support appropriate to each programme’s needs.

The post will also provide general support to all staff and trustees across the VCS Alliance to ensure our work can run smoothly and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Support:

• Arrange meetings and, where necessary, take minutes and update relevant action logs.
• Work with the relevant staff to process invoices in a timely manner.
• Work with the relevant staff to support the development of marketing and communication materials.
• Work with the relevant staff to input data for programmes.
• Work with the relevant staff to collate and input monitoring information, such as case studies, workbooks.
• Work with the relevant staff to support the preparation of reports and progress updates.
• Work with the relevant staff to support VCS Alliance events.

Administration

• Complete relevant administrative tasks, including: record keeping, database management, printing, filing, booking meeting rooms, and ordering refreshments.
• Monitor the general office inventory and assess the need for additional resources.
• Contribute to VCS Alliance general administration through dealing with enquiries via the telephone, email and drop-ins.
• Contribute information to the VCS Alliance’s newsletter/mailings/ebulletins/website.
• Complete any other relevant administrative tasks.

The VCS Alliance

The VCS Alliance is a charity dedicated to transforming health and social care across Bradford District and Craven. To do this, we act as a bridge between the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, channelling investment into the sector, to deliver transformational programmes. Job Title: Practitioner Psychologist

Location: Based in Croydon. Unfortunately this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £60,000 (Full Time Equivalent) 

NHS Equivalent Band: 8A

Shift Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday working between 09:00 - 17:00, although some flexibility may be required at times with service needs. Working days can be agreed upon next stages of the interview process. 

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Registered Practitioner Psychologist with a background in clinical psychology to join our team in Croydon. The service offers a psychologically informed environment across four sites, providing low to high support forensic mental health services to our residents with forensic mental health needs, complex conditions, and dual diagnosis. In this role, you will drive the delivery of evidence based psychological assessments and interventions aimed at the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents into the communities. This is a creative, evolving, and impactful role which works closely with our Group Psychological Lead and wider teams to provide support to staff and at times residents to support in providing a streamlined and psychologically informed service.

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Provide advice, guidance, and support to the team with supporting our residents to overcome personal challenges and create a supportive environment
• Advise and streamline best practices, and enhance the overall skills and expertise of the team to deliver high quality care and support
• Provide clinical supervision to the team
• Provide highly specialised psychological assessments for our residents with mental health and complex needs
• Exercise full clinical responsibility for residents psychological care as a care coordinator within a multidisciplinary team
• Formulate and implement plans for various therapy routes and management of assessing mental health conditions based upon appropriate conceptual frameworks and evidence-based practices

About You

We're looking for someone who is a self-starter, able to proactively encourage, take leadership and ownership for creating a psychologically informed environment. You will be able to communicate highly complex and sensitive information effectively within the organisation and with external partners, collaborating with external stakeholders regularly in a multidisciplinary approach. You will be able to utilise your own expertise and support in empowering the wider team to enhance their skills to deliver a service which is supportive, safe, and in line with best practice for the organisation and external regulatory bodies. 

• HCPC Registration is essential
• Post-graduate doctoral level training as a Registered Practitioner Psychologist including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology
• Previous experience working as a qualified clinical and/or forensic psychologist, including working with people with complex backgrounds/needs and a good understanding of the sector we run our services in
• Ability to teach, train, consult, and deliver clinical supervision
• Understanding of criminology, psychology, and behavioural patterns, and how they link to different behaviours and engagement
• Ability to understand and apply safeguarding protocols as they arise
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility in working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

About the role

The Social Media Executive sits in the Media & Communications’ team and plays a key role in elevating Spear’s brand and mission by producing engaging, story-driven digital content, with a strong focus on video, for social platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. This role centres on amplifying the voices and experiences of young people on the Spear Programme, creating authentic content that inspires audiences including young people, supporters and corporate partners.

Based in London, but working with colleagues across Spear Centres nationwide, the Social Media Executive will create engaging content in line with our social media strategy. Working from concept to filming, editing, and performance analysis, this role will also empower coaches, alumni and ambassadors to produce user-generated content. The role requires creativity, adaptability to digital trends, and strong relationship-building skills to capture impactful stories.

• Salary: from £27,000 pro rata

• Skilled in video making on a smartphone, including shooting and editing. Experience in video editing software such as iMovie or Final Cut Pro a bonus. 
• (Desirable) experience working directly with young people.
