About The Role

Kingston Bereavement Support (KBS) is the only bereavement service in Kingston Upon Thames. We are a registered provider to local GPs and an organisational member of the Childhood Bereavement Network. The Service Manager will provide strategic leadership in the development and delivery of a  high-quality service for our clients. As the Alumni Officer, you will be someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about supporting them to progress to vibrant degrees and careers in STEM. The post holder will have strong knowledge and understanding of the barriers facing young people from low socioeconomic backgrounds accessing STEM education and careers across the UK.

The Alumni Officer will deliver the continuation of support for hundreds young people who complete the In2STEM programme every year, supporting them with continued support throughout year 13/S6 as they progress to post FE education, apprenticeships and training, and providing long term careers opportunities.

Your specific duties will include:

• Evaluate existing alumni activities to recommend and implement improvements and new initiatives to support the delivery of a high quality programme experience to support In2STEM alumni, aligning with learning objectives, feedback and our theory of change.

• Develop and deliver engaging alumni communications e.g. newsletters & email updates, to keep In2STEM alumni informed of news, opportunities and events.

• Plan, organise and support the delivery of online workshops aligned to support In2STEM alumni progression milestones. 

• Maintaining up to date alumni records, in accordance with data protection, as well as working closely with the Data, Impact and Evaluation Manager to evaluate In2STEM participant progression.

• Support with the collection and creation of case studies and alumni stories to promote alumni achievements and strengthen the community.

• Work closely with the In2STEM programme and fundraising teams to ensure funder requirements are met.

Records Manager & Archivist

The duties within this unique role will be shared across the main London offices of the Methodist Church in Britain and United Reformed Church. The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and experienced records and archives management professional, who is confident to work across our different sites and systems. You will be a knowledgeable manager of analogue and digital records and archives.  Some familiarity with Church structures and record keeping would be an advantage.

You will need to be able to advise the staff teams for both Churches on records management strategy and practice and support them in the implementation of electronic records management systems (ERMS). You will also be able to undertake collections management tasks such as appraisal, condition assessments, basic cleaning and re-packaging and cataloguing.

You will need to be able to liaise effectively with the archive services where our collections are deposited, and work with our voluntary heritage committees and archival advisers. You will be encouraged to appoint and manage volunteers to build capacity around this work.

The Methodist Church has records from the early 18th century onwards. Its governance records (estimated at c4m items) are deposited in the John Rylands Research Institute & Library, University of Manchester, and its missionary collections in the SOAS Library, University of London.  Records of the Church at a local level are deposited with local authority archive services.  There are also five ‘community archives’ managed by volunteer editors. 

The United Reformed Church was established in 1972, with its roots in the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches. The search for a new location for the centralised deposit and permanent preservation of URC records is a key objective for this post-holder, along with developing and supporting the management of current administrative records. 

Both organisations maintain offsite record storage and occasional travel to them will be a necessary part of this role.

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager - Bids and Trusts to secure and manage the funding that enables this vital work. This is a key strategic role leading our grants, trusts, statutory funding and corporate income pipeline, working closely with the CEO and Senior Management Team. You will be responsible for prospect research, high-quality bid writing, reporting, and building strong relationships with funders and partners. Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning

• Work with the CEO to implement Gilgal’s Fundraising and Income Generation Strategy.

You will be supported by the Head of Corporate Development and Partnerships to be creative in how they grow and uplift new income generation across corporate partnerships. You will have an entrepreneurial approach to your work to identify and attract new organisations whilst maintaining excellent relationships with our established partners, focusing on stewardship, renewals and smart uplifts.

We're looking for a organised, proactive and resilient Referral and Operational Development Manager to join our Complex Specialist Services.

£44,000.00 per annum, working 35 hours per week.

The Referral and Operational Development Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Director with new business development, coordinating and managing referrals, assessments, tenancies and transitions for our customers with learning disabilities and autism.

The working pattern for this role is:Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

What you'll do:
Referral & Assessment Coordination
* Monitor and respond to referrals from external sources and direct contacts.
* Maintain a current tracking system for referral clarity and produce regular reports.
* Analyse referral data to identify local commissioning needs and growth opportunities.
* Work with managers on person-centered assessments covering care needs, environmental suitability, risk management, and transition planning.
* Complete and submit needs assessments with costings and support package requirements.
* Coordinate the assessment process and internal referral meetings.
* Develop a responsive referral and assessment pathway aligned with best practice.
* Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders ensuring timely and responsive communication.

About you:
* Strong understanding of the learning disability and autism sector, including CQC regulations.
* Proven ability to build professional relationships with stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of sector
* Ability to manage staff effectively

What you'll bring:
Essential:
* Experience in assessments, referrals, and placement coordination within supported living or health and social care settings.
* Knowledge of brokerage, purchasing systems, and commissioning portals.
* Ability to write reports for the senior management team
* Understanding of residential and supported living service models.
* Familiarity with funding processes and financial negotiations.
* Experience of working with costing models for placement pricing
* Experience of managing staff and services in social care or health

Desirable:
* Knowledge of how local authorities, councils and ICBs commission and agree services.
* Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed practice.
* Understanding of complex needs, forensic histories, and dual diagnoses.
