You’re someone who enjoys meeting people, listening, and making connections. You care about your community and understand how important local support can be. You’ll also appreciate the role of the voluntary sector and how it works alongside services like the NHS and local councils.
You don’t need formal qualifications—just a good standard of English and Maths, and a genuine desire to help others. If you’ve worked in hospital discharge, reablement, or community signposting before, that’s great—but if not, don’t worry. We’ll provide all the training and support you need.

About the Role

Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College (BRWC) runs a curriculum of free peer and professional-led workshops and courses across the borough of Bromley. Our aim is to enable students to achieve greater insight into their own mental wellbeing and gain skills to help them achieve personal goals, independence and self-management of their own mental health.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College Manager to join SEL Mind on a one year fixed-term basis. You will be a strategic planner, responsible for reviewing, implementing and managing the significant development of Bromley’s Recovery and Wellbeing College (BRWC) You will design and oversee the delivery of quality-assured courses in response to wider local need, providing equity in opportunities and lead on delivering a successful shared vision for the BRWC. The role comes with line management responsibility for a BRWC Coordinator and an administrator, ensuring operational support for the day to day delivery and efficient running of the college as well as support for tutors and students.
You will work closely alongside SEL Mind colleagues as well as our Bromley Mental Health Hub partners Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. You will also use strong partnership working skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the borough.
You will have experience of successfully delivering learning to others and of line management in a busy, fast paced environment. A strategic, proactive approach to problem solving and planning as well as excellent organisational skills are a must. Confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of people is also required.
Hybrid working is considered in line with our policies and needs of the service. Occasional out-of-hours work is required to support the team delivering courses outside of core office hours.

The Role
The Head of Health & Wellbeing is a key member of the College and is responsible for managing the delivery of the College’s operational health and wellbeing provision.
The role holder will be closely involved in student welfare across the College, working closely with undergraduates and postgraduates, Fellows, and staff. They will contribute to the College’s health and wellbeing strategy, ensuring that College provision complements the provision offered through the University’s Student Support Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the Health & Wellbeing Centre is supported and managed through the delivery of the key responsibilities detailed in the job description.

Salary and Benefits
The annual salary will be £51,039 p.a. In addition to this the post holder would be eligible for a bonus every year, and meals on duty. We also offer membership of a defined salary sacrifice pension contribution scheme, a Healthcare cash plan and parking.
This is a permanent role at 37.5 hours per week. The nature of the role requires some flexibility in working hours. This includes working the first weekend of the start of the new academic year to help welcome new students, as well as working bank holidays which fall during University Full Term. The Learning and Skills Development Co-Ordinator will lead on developing a program of training, learning, volunteering and work experience for the residents of Homeless Oxfordshire that increase self esteem, engagement and motivation. You will work collaboratively and creatively across the organisation, as well as with partners, stake-holders, and the wider community. Improving community relations and help us secure support from local training providers and employers where resident participation in the wider community will help break down stigmas surrounding homelessness and addiction.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Devise and deliver a structured programme of training and education (both formal and informal) to improve our residents' skills and confidence which prepares them for the next stage of their lives.
- As part of the LEAP team work closely with the Activities Co-Ordinator to deliver a comprehensive programme of engagement, developing skills to move away from homelessness.
- Work with partners and residents to design training that is tailored to the needs of our residents.
- Develop and maintain external relationships with local training providers, organisations and employers to find various opportunities and maintain those relationships.
- Support on design of the peer mentoring training and traineeship programmes.
- Identify and support volunteering opportunities.
- Take a strengths-based approach to facilitate teams and residents identifying their talents, skills and build their self-esteem.

LEAP is built on the foundation of strong, supportive relationships that empower residents to move towards stable, independent living. Through one-to-one key worker support, trauma-informed care, and community engagement, residents rebuild trust, form friendships, and gain confidence. Activities like gardening, arts and crafts, and creative writing foster connection and personal growth, while group involvement helps residents feel part of a wider community. LEAP also supports residents to take steps into peer mentoring, volunteering, and training, helping them build positive networks beyond their immediate circle and develop the skills and confidence to thrive independently.
At LEAP, community involvement is at the heart of their work. Empowering residents through co-production is a key organisational goal. LEAP empowers people with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to move towards independent living and employment. Over three years, the project aims to support 750 individuals. Through a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities, residents will experience positive outcomes such as increased confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of inclusion. They will build supportive networks, learn key life skills and access training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. Many will gain qualifications and secure long-term accommodation. The project strengthens peer support and enables residents to shape services through formalised Residents’ Forums, ensuring their voices influence senior decision-making. For Homeless Oxfordshire, LEAP enhances our capacity to deliver peer-led support, builds staff knowledge, and informs service improvement. Wider community benefits include reduced stigma around homelessness, stronger partnerships with employers and organisations, and improved understanding of the issues faced by our residents—ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Job Purpose
The Partnership Coordinator role is varied, offering the chance to develop a wide range of skills. Key Responsibilities
Programme and Network Delivery:
- Support the planning and delivery of programmes and networks, including scheduling dates, organising training sessions, and other activities.
- Support the organisation and delivery of programme-specific and national events.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including resolving operational issues and escalating as needed.
- Provide year-round support to local Hub Managers to ensure schools receive necessary support.

Recruitment and Retention:
- Support year-round recruitment of schools to the Network of Excellence, working with hubs to deliver introductory events.
- Provide updates on schools in your hub to inform retention campaigns.

The role
The Senior Student Lifestyle Coordinator role is to supervise, develop and support staff to deliver the Community, Advice & Support departmental plan. Acting as a role model for the required standard of values, behaviour and performance, we expect Senior Coordinators to help to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all.
The role is required:
To lead on the development of events, activities and campaigns focused on student health & wellbeing, encouraging positive behaviours and outcomes.
- To implement student wellbeing external accreditation schemes, administration and delivery of associated activities, seeking support from and liaising with Guild and University colleagues.
