The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) is looking for a bright, dynamic self-starter who is keen to make a positive contribution in this new role within its Professional Development team.

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) is a charity and membership body for physicians who advance health through innovations in medicines, vaccines, medical devices, precision therapies, diagnostics, and digital health technologies. The role
The Education & Standards Administrator role is an opportunity for someone who thrives on a challenge, who is happiest when putting their excellent organisational and customer facing skills through their paces. Someone who is at their best working collaboratively with others.
They will play a key role in supporting the delivery of FPM’s Certificate and Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine (DPM), training and standards, chiefly in two areas:
- Examinations – FPM sets the curricula for and runs a number of examinations. They include the Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine, successful completion of which is a defining moment in the career of any pharmaceutical physician, and a keystone of FPM membership. It affirms their knowledge and expertise in the specialty, and commitment to enhancing the health of society.
- Training – FPM offers a range of training sessions and webinars, including the flagship DPM Training Programme which supports learners preparing to take FPM examinations. Training is a cornerstone of FPM’s commitment to equipping pharmaceutical physicians with the specialist knowledge and capabilities to practise to the highest ethical and professional standards.
The postholder will support FPM’s Examinations and Standards Manager and Digital Training Manager in delivering a high quality customer experience.
We are looking for a bright, dynamic self-starter who is a team player, organised and has good communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring great energy, diligence and attention to detail, and will be keen to make a positive contribution in all aspects of the role. Specific tasks include: acting as the first line of response for queries; supporting the registration of examination and training candidates; handling meetings administration, including sending out Teams or Zoom links and meeting materials; and assisting with CRM testing and setup. An understanding of professional development in a professional environment would be an advantage but is not essential. Full training will be given.
This is a full-time, permanent role. FPM offers a fantastic benefits package, including flexible working, 29 days annual leave, and Christmas closure days. A pension is offered after three months. The role is offered subject to successful completion of the six-month probation period.

This role is to support the Church of England's work in the House of Lords in relation to all matters of education policy. Working closely with the Bishop of Portsmouth (the Chair of the National Society for Education and Lead Bishop for Education) and a range of other Lords Spiritual, you will be providing advice, supporting policy articulation, maintaining links with MPs, peers and staff, and working with NSE senior staff to ensure effective communication of education policy.
The Church of England has a unique role in the education system, providing around 20% of all schools (around 4700 schools). Its national work is overseen by the National Society for Education (Church of England & Church in Wales), working closely in partnership with Diocesan Boards of Education, school and trust leaders, alongside strategic leaders in the FE and HE sectors.
The NSE is chaired by the Bishop of Portsmouth, who has also sat in the House of Lords since December 2025. He regularly speaks in debates and works across the House with a wide range of peers, also working very closely with ministers, particularly in the Department for Education. This role is to provide parliamentary and policy support to him and a range of other Lords Spiritual who will speak on education issues.
The role sits inside the NSE team, line managed by the Head of Education Policy, and then working closely with the wider team of other Parliamentary and Policy Researchers across the wider Church of England. It provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to support the Church's work in education at the most strategic level.

- Supporting the Bishop of Portsmouth (Chair of the National Society for Education and Lead Bishop for Education), and a range of other Lords Spiritual speaking on education policy in the House of Lords
- Advising on and researching materials for questions, speeches and other interventions in the Lords. Monitoring and keeping the Bishops informed about relevant parliamentary developments and timetables.
- Liaising with MPs, Peers and their staff, Parliamentary officials, and others in and outside the NCIs on behalf of the Bishops.
- Drafting material for online and print publication about the Bishops' work, in close collaboration with communications officers in Church House and the Diocese of Portsmouth.
- Providing occasional research resource for the Bishops in their diocesan work, as and when required. This may involve researching and drafting talks, articles and lectures.
- Supporting the Head of Education Policy and Chief Education Officer in their wider policy-related responsibilities as and when required.
- Working with the wider Parliamentary Team to ensure that the Bishops are kept abreast of the wider activities of the Lords Spiritual and the Parliamentary Team

The Parliamentary and Policy Researcher will be expected to regularly in London (at our office base - Church House, Westminster), and at the House of Lords. Flexibility in the working pattern will be required, due to the Bishops' duty weeks and other commitments in the Lords, as well as parliamentary sitting and recess dates.
The postholder will need to have access to the Parliamentary estate, so will be required to apply for a security pass sponsored by the Bishops, and will be expected to abide by the rules and codes set by Parliament that accompany the issuing of a pass. The postholder will also have access to the facilities offered to NCI staff, observing the responsibilities and protocols which apply to all staff of the NCIs.
ESSENTIAL
Skills/Aptitudes:

ELBA’s Mentoring Works programme has been running since 1996 and has supported thousands of young people across London and beyond. Purpose of the job
To be responsible for supporting the key aims and deliverables of Mentoring Works. The Mentoring Works Project Manager will need to develop and manage strong relationships with schools and colleges; recruit students and engage and train business volunteers as mentors; design resources; deliver sessions; monitor relationships; support with safeguarding and produce robust impact evaluations for the programme. You will be required to support other members of the Mentoring Works team and your colleagues as and when required. The post will be managed by the Head of Programmes - Education, with further support and training from the Mentoring Works team. The post holder will have regular one-to-one support for input and guidance to achieve agreed success indicators and will be subject to annual performance appraisals with mid-year reviews.

Job Description
- Manage relationships with schools, colleges and employers, with particular responsibility for ELBA’s partners

- Manage a substantial Education Quality Team budget, being responsible for resources that are allocated to the department and ensuring these are effectively managed and controlled.
- Review and establish processes, systems and policies and where appropriate standard procedures for activities to maximise efficiency, ensure deadlines are met and to ensure a positive return on investment.
Oversight & development of Academic Representation
- Manage and support Education Quality Coordinators to deliver Arts SU’s academic representation systems bringing support for representatives and innovation around student engagement.
- Provide day-to-day management of our academic representation system, including managing relationships with UAL staff who work on this system in Colleges, Schools and Academic Quality.
- Work to further develop our partnership with the University to establish the Education Quality Team as expert practitioners and a source of good practice on student engagement, representation, and co-production.
- Work in partnership with staff and elected officers to deliver a holistic and high-quality academic representation system, including managing the election, training, year-round engagement and development of academic representatives and other related roles as relevant.
- Work closely with colleagues to support and deliver successful SU elections and awards events.
Policy & Officer support
- Lead the Education Quality Team’s work in providing comprehensive policy support to Arts SU’s Full-time Officers and School Representatives on education issues and developing effective lobbying strategies to influence the policies that impact students’ lives.
- Support engagement in College committees and working groups by maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of representatives and staff committee responsibilities, accompanying representatives where appropriate and coordinating a system for committee briefing and de-briefing.
- Work with colleagues to deliver high profile campaigns based on evidence and insights.
- Work with the wider team to develop relationships with academic societies, and to develop their ability to support student representation and engagement.
- Provide regular and structured reports or presentations to colleagues to support strategic decision making throughout Arts SU.

Role Description
The Operations and Finance Manager will play a central role in ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the Foundation. We are seeking a candidate with broad experience across information security governance, including most of the following: identifying and assessing information risk, managing controls, carrying out internal and third-party audits, improving processes, developing training and guidance for staff, managing and reviewing incidents, and contributing to policy development. A strong eye for detail and excellent record-keeping will be essential to success in this role.
Because CEC works with children’s data and provides digital tools for careers education, we are especially interested in candidates who are motivated by social purpose who understand the importance of security governance in this context. This is a fast-moving environment, so you will need to be comfortable working through ambiguity, building strong partnerships across teams, finding practical solutions, and confidently raising significant risks when needed.
The key responsibilities of this role are to manage and continually improve CEC’s ISO 27001-certified Information Security Management System, oversee business continuity management for information and technology risks, and support the organisation’s development of a proportionate quality management approach, including work towards ISO 9001 certification.
Essential criteria:
- Strong understanding of information security management principles and appropriate up-to-date technological, organisational, physical and people security controls.
- Good understanding of security framework such as ISO 27001 and cyber essentials.
- Good working knowledge of the range of tools, platforms, utilities and cloud computing typically used within modern digital firsts organisations
Experience / Qualifications
One or more of the following:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in information/cyber security OR
- Equivalent professional certification such as CISSP, CIMP or equivalent OR
- ISO 27001 lead implementer or lead auditor
