The Bernard Sunley Foundation is a family grant making foundation which supports charities in England and Wales working to raise the quality of life and provide greater opportunities for the young, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged.

About the role

The Grants Officer will join our small, hardworking, friendly team and will be responsible for overseeing the monthly grants programme. They will support the Director in collating the board papers for each of the three annual Trustees’ meetings. They will also be expected to help assess the large and medium grant applications that go through to the Trustees’ meetings. The new Grants Officer will be asked to visit charities and projects, which will entail travel across England and Wales. The new Grants Officer will also maintain the grants database, be responsible for updating the new website and be the first port of call for any grant application enquiries.

About you

This role would suit a range of candidates and we are open to candidates without direct grant making experience but the successful candidate will need a demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the grants world. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have energy, enthusiasm, good communication and relationship building skills and experience and confidence with databases. An understanding of how to read charity accounts would be a bonus but training will be provided for the chosen candidate. You will have an aptitude for working both independently and as part of a collaborative team and managing a varied and busy workload.

Role purpose

Schools’ Project Officer (4-5 days per week; 10 months contract with opportunity for renewal)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join this fast-growing charity at a pivotal time, and make significant impact as our grass-roots Schools’ Project Officer. You will be visiting schools, explaining about what we do at assemblies and going for follow up sessions, and then giving email feedback to applications.

We invite students (individually or in groups) to develop their own challenges well outside their ‘comfort zones’, and to be responsible for every stage of the process. Who we are looking for
We are looking for an energetic, talented and reliable candidate for our schools’ outreach team, inspiring high-quality applications for funding from Year 12s in our 85 partner London state schools (20% of the total).  There is scope to help shape our strategy. We are looking for competent project officer, ideally with experience of physical challenge, strong administrative skills and with strong writing skills: they will be comfortable working with students, and value personal challenge and development. He/she will be keen to work with a growing charity, and to support young people usually with a poverty of experience and opportunity.

The 10-month post is up to 4-5 days per week, based in Southwark, with frequent travel to schools across London. The salary is £26,600–£35,000 pa pro rata. Flexible working is considered.

In this role, you will deliver both group and one-to-one sessions, including tailored Maths and English tuition based on individual needs. The Role

What will I be doing?

• Managing a portfolio of public engagement events, including the delivery of the summer exhibition in Dublin each year and public engagement events across NI, Scotland and Wales
• Working with colleagues from across the organisation, particularly those in the Membership and National teams to support member led or member involved approaches to public engagement, with members supported and enabled to deliver appropriate activities that impactfully contribute to the IOP’s strategic goals.

• continuing professional development (CPD)
• examinations (Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK – MRCP(UK))
• training (Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board – JRCPTB).

The Research and Development function is responsible for the management, investigation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data arising from the UK postgraduate medical training and assessment systems.  Data is analysed to ensure quality, investigate areas of concern, identify trends and report relevant findings for further discussion, such as via committees, reports, conferences and peer-reviewed journals.

Young Citizens is recruiting two Programme Coordinators to help deliver our UK education programmes, one with a focus on Events Coordination, and the other on School Engagement. Role snapshot

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Young Citizens in one of two key Programme Coordinator roles, each helping to deliver our national education programmes.

• As Programme Coordinator – Event and Project Lead, you’ll oversee the planning and delivery of around 65 events each year, from mock trials and school workshops to teacher training and sector-facing events, ensuring every detail contributes to a high-quality experience for young people, educators, and volunteers. In addition to event delivery, the role also involves leading key projects that support programme development and growth.
• As Programme Coordinator – Schools Engagement Lead, you’ll be the main point of contact for over 480 secondary schools, managing registrations, communications, and support to ensure smooth, engaging participation across our programmes.

Both roles are vital to our mission of empowering young people through active citizenship. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping a well-established charity as we deliver on our 3-year strategy, with opportunities to facilitate workshops and mock trials, coordinate programme delivery, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team where clear processes, adaptability, and a passion for social impact are key to success.

The Role
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Digital Content & Communications Manager; a creative all-rounder who thrives on “doing,” not just talking strategy. You’ll have ownership of our digital content: crafting impactful videos, visuals, and copy for our social channels and websites, and creating engaging resources for marketing, learning and programme delivery. You’ll energise our digital platforms while continuously improving their effectiveness and reach.
This role is delivery-first: you’ll “own” the hands-on creation, scheduling, and optimisation of digital content. You’ll have input into what and when we share and will help shape digital plans, but the heart of the job is practical content production and sharing. Press and comms partnerships are supporting responsibilities, not the main focus.

Your Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Content Creation & Delivery (Primary)

• Design, produce, and post engaging multimedia assets (video, graphics, infographics, stories) for social media, and our websites.
• Amplify authentic stories, ideas, and perspectives from our beneficiaries to move and motivate audiences.

2. Social Media & Community Building

• Plan, schedule, post, and manage engagement on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, as well as newsletters
• Grow and nurture audiences—especially among schools, judges, volunteers, educators, and young people.
• Monitor trends and adapt content for impact.

3. Learning & Programme Resource Design

• Work with colleagues to create compelling, accessible learning resources and marketing materials for schools, corporate partners, funders, and events.
• Design digital newsletters, reports, and campaign materials that support fundraising, stewardship, and participant development.

4. Marketing of Programmes

• Provide marketing support to the programmes team to help promote our programmes to schools and other charities primarily through developing marketing collateral and supporting outbound email campaigns

5. Website Management & Continuous Improvement

• Manage day-to-day website updates, keeping our sites fresh, welcoming, and easy to navigate.
• Seek out and implement small improvements that enhance user experience, accessibility, and recruitment effectiveness.

6. Press, Media & Profile

• Develop and deliver a practical approach to meeting regional press grant requirements (e.g. one piece per final); contribute occasional press releases if needed.

7. Support the Team’s broader objectives

• Help colleagues use digital tools, solve basic problems, and build digital skills through sharing, to improve our digital content
• Champion creative, inclusive, and accessible digital comms internally.
• Representing Speakers Trust at external events and networking opportunities
• Support the CEO in building their advocacy around the issues important to Speakers Trust – Oracy Education and Youth Voice
• Bring a collaborative, positive approach to tackling everyday challenges faced by small charities

What We’re Looking For

• Strong track record in creating digital content, managing social media, and designing educational/promotional materials (charity, youth, or education sector experience a plus).
• Experience with website content management and the ability to identify and deliver incremental improvements.
• Skilled in video and design (Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar) and software to support website and newsletter design.
• Clear, compelling written English for content, newsletters, and reports.
• Ability to grow and nurture digital communities—especially for school, volunteer, and judge recruitment.
• Organised, adaptable, and comfortable working independently and in a team.
• Supportive, sharing, and positive in approach.

• Centres the lived experiences of victim-survivors, using participatory and coproduced research methods.
• Informs SBS’s advocacy, public education and service delivery strategies through accessible, impactful research outputs.

Working closely with senior staff, frontline colleagues and external partners, the postholder will design and contribute to research projects, gather and analyse qualitative and quantitative data, and produce clear, well-structured outputs including reports, policy briefings and presentations. They will be supported to develop their research skills and will be encouraged to bring creativity and rigour to exploring the structural inequalities that shape the lives of the women SBS supports.
