About the Role
As Fundraising Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and operational support across a wide range of fundraising activities. You’ll help maintain accurate donor records, process donations, coordinate communications, support donor visits and events, and assist with reporting and prospect research.
Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, finance, marketing, and academic teams, you’ll help ensure excellent donor care while contributing to fundraising initiatives that directly support students, projects, and the future development of West Dean.
This is a varied and engaging role that would suit someone who enjoys organisation, relationship-building, and working with data and systems in a meaningful environment.

The role
As Head of Flourishing Programmes, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery and expansion of our growing suite of values-led professional learning programmes: Flourishing Leaders, Flourishing Teachers, Flourishing ECTs (in partnership with UCL), and Leaders Like Us. These programmes are designed to support the flourishing of educators at every stage of their journey, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, vocation, and leadership development. You will oversee a dedicated team and work closely with internal colleagues, delivery partners, and national collaborators to ensure these programmes are impactful, inclusive, and sector-leading. This role requires a visionary and relational leader who can manage complexity, inspire excellence, and drive continuous improvement across the programmes.
Strategic Leadership and Quality Assurance
- Provide strategic oversight of the Flourishing Programmes, including 'Leaders Like Us', ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and the Church of England Vision for Education.
- Lead the development and implementation of robust quality assurance processes to ensure excellence in delivery and readiness for external evaluation.
- Use data, evaluation, and research to drive continuous improvement and innovation across all programmes.
Team Leadership and People Management
- Line manage team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Support the development of a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and clear performance expectations.
- Champion a values-led leadership culture that reflects the ethos of the National Society for Education and wider Church of England.
Programme Delivery and Operational Oversight
- Oversee the full participant journey across all Flourishing Programmes, including recruitment, onboarding, retention, and completion.
- Ensure effective systems and processes are in place to support delivery, including digital platforms, communications, and participant support.
- Ensure all contractual elements of the UCL partnership are met in a timely and accurate manner, including KPI reporting and compliance.
- Ensure Flourishing ECTE programme is ready for UCL monitoring, Ofsted or other external evaluations.
- Lead on the resolution of complex operational issues, including participant transfers, deferrals, and reasonable adjustments.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Working
- Work closely with delivery partners, including UCL, and MAT/Diocesan networks, to ensure effective communication, training, and support.
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders across the education sector, including dioceses, MATs, and other national providers.
- Drive growth and programme engagement/recruitment across regional areas by developing strong, strategic relationships with schools, trusts, and diocesan networks.
- Represent the Flourishing Programmes on the national stage as an ambassador for our work, contributing to sector-wide conversations, networks, and events.
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team and the Partnerships and Engagement Team to strategically strengthen, streamline, and equip our Delivery Partner network - ensuring consistency across programmes, a unified voice and building capacity to drive increasing participant demand.
Collaborative Leadership
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Curriculum and Enablement and Head of NPQ Programmes as part of the Professional Learning Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Head of Professional Learning.
- Contribute to the development of a holistic and coherent professional learning offer that reflects the organisation's values and meets the needs of leaders across the system.

We are looking for a very capable, adaptable and friendly administrator to lead on our day-to-day communications at our very busy outdoor learning and volunteering hub in at Skelton Grange Environment Centre in Southeast Leeds. This beautiful eco-building is set in a 10-acre wildlife area in south Leeds and welcomes over 7500 people a year to a range of education, health, job skills and recreation opportunities in the natural environment.
You will be dealing with enquiries face to face, by email and over the phone, as well as leading on our marketing and publicity to promote our education, volunteering and community opportunities. We are looking for someone very organised, efficient and who enjoys the business and vibrancy of a community hub.
You will often be the first point of contact for new enquiries from volunteers, teachers, community groups and more, answering questions by phone and email, as well as welcoming presence for new visitors on site with induction tours or preliminary visits.
You will have oversight of our external publicity plan, using a range of platforms including social media, Eventbrite, digital newsletters and print media to promote our education, volunteering and community opportunities, and to highlight the successes of our work. You will need confidence in using a range of publicity tools, and in working with our delivery teams to create content.
You will be involved in planning, coordinating and supporting our community events, training and room hire offer - working with our staff and volunteer team, as well as with external providers to help make sure that spaces are set up and accessible, and that things go to plan on the day!
You will be looking after the administration of many of our day-to-day systems- around bookings, invoicing, procurement, filing, and some reporting and evaluation - so an efficient and organised approach will be important. Although predominantly locally focused, this role will also provide some national support to our Business Solutions Manager, providing administrative support to the management of our national fleet portfolio, helping to ensure compliance and respond to queries.

As Head of Communications and Brand at the Harris Federation, you will shape and protect our public profile, leading strategic communications, marketing and media activity across a network of 55 academies.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an Attendance and Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Harris Federation on a fixed-term basis from September 2026 to August 2029.
This role is part of an exciting project taking place in our Croydon secondary academies to improve school attendance by addressing barriers caused by poor mental health. The role involves working collaboratively with school attendance teams and external agencies to identify students at risk of persistent absence, using data-driven approaches and evidence-based interventions.
This role is term time only plus three weeks, and the actual salary will be £33,012-£35,000 (41 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week).
Interviews will take place on 8th June 2026.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
By managing a caseload of students, delivering targeted one-to-one and group support, and working with parents, you will implement strategies that support attendance and wellbeing. You will also contribute to the research and evaluation of the project, in partnership with Maudsley Education Consulting Service (MECS), our partners in this work. Effective communication, safeguarding, and accurate record-keeping are integral to supporting students, families and schools in achieving positive outcomes.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- A qualification in CYP mental health e.g. Child Wellbeing Practitioner, Education Welfare Practitioner, counsellor
- A degree, or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of the range of barriers to learning that students face
- Training in child protection and safeguarding procedures
- Experience of working in an inner-city school or educational establishment in a pastoral capacity
- Experience of working with young people in a one to one and/or group capacity on a range of mental health issues
- Experience of working with families
- Experience of working with challenging students and parents, and finding ways in which we can meet their needs more successfully
- Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice
- Willing to contribute knowledge and experience to the Harris Home Academy Liaison Officers
- Understanding of principles of student development and learning processes
- Ability to advocate for CYP and their families to get support within school and with external agencies
- Ability to plan effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving due to poor attendance

Summary of the Role
The Director of Development (DoD) provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all fundraising income and supporter engagement activity at DSWF. The role is accountable for delivering sustainable, diversified revenue growth aligned with DSWF’s mission across conservation, education and art, while building lasting relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations, corporate partners and senior supporters.
Working in close partnership with the CEO, COO, CFO, and Board of Trustees, the DoD translates organisational strategy into compelling Cases for Support, effective fundraising plans and measurable outcomes. The postholder leads and develops a high-performing Development team, ensuring strong delivery and continuous improvement.
As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), the Director shares responsibility for shaping the Foundation’s overall direction, contributing to governance, organisational culture and high-level strategic decision-making.
This is a pivotal position combining senior management with hands-on major gift fundraising and team leadership. Central to enabling the Foundation’s long-term impact and growth, the DoD is a driving force behind DSWF’s ability to successfully deliver its mission to protect endangered species in Africa and Asia.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
•Lead on the development, implementation, delivery and continuous refinement of DSWF’s multi-year Development strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and long-term financial sustainability.
•Advise the CEO and Trustees on fundraising performance, trends, risks and opportunities.
•Own and articulate the organisational Case/s for Support, ensuring a clear, compelling narrative that integrates conservation impact, education outcomes and artistic heritage.

Major & Strategic Fundraising

Events
•This senior role will have overall responsibility for any fundraising or donor profile events (at present this would include the Wildlife Ball which is an annual fundraising/profile raising event that takes place at the Dorchester Hotel).
•Working closely with the rest of SMT, this role will direct the Development team to ensure that all events deliver optimum, high level donor experiences and are run professionally (with logistics and operational support from the COO and team).
•This role will have overall responsibility for ensuring the CEO has all information required to support engagement with donors at all events.
Governance & Reporting
