We are looking for an individual with a passion for international education and cultural exchange to join the Fulbright Awards team.
You will support with all aspects of the selection process, including coordinating the receipt of applications, reading and evaluating applications, organising peer review reading panels and interview panels and preparing interview materials. You will be first point of contact for all UK awards enquiries.
You will be involved with organising the logistics and execution of key Fulbright Programme events for UK grant recipients throughout the year, liaising with external organisations to arrange venue space, catering and accommodation and travel to Fulbright events.
You will have a strong interest and/or personal experience in international education or cultural exchange and a willingness to learn. You will be passionate about promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity, and be excited about the opportunity to work with/support people from diverse backgrounds. Playskill is a Hertfordshire based charity supporting pre-school children with physical disabilities & delays and their families. Across two sites in Watford and Hemel Hempstead, our work helps to build family resilience in the pivotal early years of a child’s life. Our specialist early intervention work delivering multi-disciplinary therapeutic play sessions, parent training/modelling, family social respite events and family support provides holistic family centred work aiming to build foundational skills for life
The Family Support Lead will coordinate our Family Support service across all locations providing holistic support to families of children with a physical disability/delay living in Hertfordshire, always keeping close adherence to best Safeguarding practice and procedures.
The role involves working with the Head of Family Service and Operations and Head of Development to develop the Support Worker team to deliver high quality family support. This may mean supporting families in group settings, family centres or in the home and holding caseloads with a holistic view in how to best meet need. About the role
The role of the Partnerships Engagement Officer is to work closely with our partners and colleagues across Future Frontiers to support the smooth delivery of our programmes and share stories and impact information through a variety of communications channels. This role is key to delivering our work and making a lasting difference for young people from under-resourced backgrounds on their education and career journeys.
The Partnerships Engagement Officer helps manage vital relationships with volunteers, schools and businesses, and acts as a first point of contact for onboarding queries. This role also helps to promote our partnership activities through producing and sharing marketing and communications content, such as LinkedIn posts and impact reports.
Your responsibilities:
Set up and enable successful programmes

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse.
Tender has grown significantly in recent years. We have secured income from an increasing range of sources: corporates, major donors, trusts & foundations and statutory funders. We have done this with a small but highly effective development team.
With a clear strategic focus for the next five years, we are strengthening our development team to ensure we have the funding needed to achieve our strategic ambitions. We plan to grow both the extent of our reach across the country, and the difference we make to the people we work with. We are also planning to increase the effectiveness of our policy & influencing work, aiming to deliver significant, systemic change to how violence against women and girls is prevented.
You will play a pivotal role in raising the funding for our ambitions, focusing on statutory and trusts & foundations income streams. You will lead on both these income streams, managing existing funders and securing new funders. You will secure income from your own portfolio of funders and partners, and lead and inspire the team to achieve their own ambitious targets, both through new sources and through excellent stewardship of existing funders.
Role purpose
The main purposes of this role are:
- Researching, identifying and applying for grant funding and commissioning from statutory sources, trusts and foundations (T&F)
- Developing and writing high quality fundraising bids which align with the objectives and needs of statutory funders, T&F and Tender’s strategic objectives
- Managing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with a range of stakeholders (statutory funders, T&F, delivery partners, professionals in the sector, internal stakeholders)

Main responsibilities and duties
New business development
- Developing and implementing a strategy to develop relationships with, and maximise income from, statutory sources, T&F
- Working with service managers, designing, developing and submitting high-quality funding proposals to statutory sources, T&F which are technically sound, meet donor requirements and align with Tender’s strategic objectives
- Maintaining an up-to-date market awareness of grant-making trends and best practice in T&F fundraising
- Developing the overall statutory and T & F strategy with oversight from the Development Director
- Monitoring and reporting against business development plans to ensure objectives are achieved, and proposing plans for remedial action if projections are not on track
Relationships
- Managing relationships with Statutory sources and T&F funding Tender, building a deep understanding of the needs and requirements of each funder
- Developing and executing stewardship and relationship management plans for T&F to maximise the value and duration of their support for Tender
- Overseeing the production of high-quality monitoring reports for T&F, and using insights from funded programmes to develop case for support materials
- Working with other Tender managers to ensure the consistent tone and positioning of Tender in the implementation of marketing of all projects

Administration
- Working with the Governance team to improve operational effectiveness and quality service by identifying and implementing process improvements

Background to Nourish
Our Nourish programme supports schools to create a food environment that puts children and young people's nutrition first. The evidence-based, multi-component programme helps schools to develop action plans and policies to cover the food served across the whole school day. Nourish uses a collaborative whole school approach to food involving everyone across the school community to create lasting positive change.
Job purpose
· To deliver Nourish in 40 schools in Hertfordshire (primary, secondary and SEND settings) over 3 years in a delivery team of two Project Officers and a Project Assistant.
Key tasks include
· Support with recruitment of schools to take part in Nourish
· Complete in person food audits in schools looking across the whole school day
· Support schools to create and deliver a food improvement plan (action plan)
· Develop and deliver workshops in schools to staff, parents and students based on their action plan (e.g. assemblies, cooking sessions, school food standards training, packed lunch advice, food ed/sensory tasting sessions)
· Support schools to write a school food policy
· Build relationships and work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, cooks, kitchen teams and senior leaders in schools to improve the food they offer their students
· Collect data and maintain accurate records relating to the project
· Work closely with University of Hertfordshire and our Evaluation team to complete all monitoring and evaluation

About the project
The Housing Advice Practitioner will by providing tailored advice and guidance through mainly remote online or phone support, as well as in person housing advice at a weekly housing advice surgery in the community. The role will include advocacy, coordination with legal services, workshops, and ensuring sustained support for families.
This new Information and Advice Support Service is established to a) provide a light touch swift response service for less complex housing issues; and b) develop mechanisms for the early identification of emerging housing problems.

At School Food Matters we believe that school food can unlock a happier, healthier, more sustainable future for every child. We want a school food system that delivers for all children, so they can enjoy nutritious, delicious and sustainable school food and leave school with an informed and positive relationship with food. To achieve this, we campaign for a better school food system, bringing the voices of children, parents, and teachers to government policy, and deliver fully funded food education programmes in schools across the country.
Young Marketeers
This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 16 cities across England. We have been commissioned to deliver the programme in Knowsley by Knowsley Public Health. The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. Then in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the Mayor!
Key Tasks include:
· Assist with recruitment of five schools to take part in Young Marketeers
· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project
