In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children becoming involved in violence. Our mission is to find what works and build a movement to put it into practice.
A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of education. We need to inspire and connect with education leaders across England and Wales to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.
Key Responsibilities
We have made good progress building the evidence of what works within and around education to reduce violence, including publishing our Education, Children and Violence Guidance which provides school, college and alternative provision leaders with five evidence-based recommendations to help prevent children’s involvement in violence. We have also published Education Policy, Children and Violence which provides eight recommendations for policy makers and system leaders. In 2025, we also launched the Education Practice Insight Creator (a self-assessment tool for education leaders) and a number of collaborations with leading sector organisations. But the big risk is that despite all of these efforts change is not made or sustained within the sector.
This is where you come in. We are recruiting for two Senior Change Manager roles within our Education Change Team. Both roles will support education leaders to put in place and sustain evidence-informed practice to prevent children’s involvement in violence.
Senior Change Manager – Education Network
You will design, lead and grow a national network of education leaders, supporting them to put in place and sustain evidence-informed practice.
This includes delivering a programme of network activity (online sessions, in-person events, collaborative projects and a national conference), building a strong professional community, and generating insight to inform our wider work. Initially, this will focus on a new programme - the Safety in and Around Schools Partnership – which will involve supporting a network of up to 250 schools.
Focus: Working at scale – developing the offer, convening leaders, and building a national network.
Best suited to: Those with experience of building and facilitating communities of practice, communicating at scale, and convening groups of leaders.
Senior Change Manager – Practice Change
You will be working directly with education leaders and local partners to support the implementation and sustaining of evidence-informed practice. This includes facilitating training, providing 1-2-1 support, developing resources, and working with clusters of schools and multi-agency partners in local areas.
Focus: Working directly with leaders to build their capacity to lead, implement and sustain evidence-informed practice change.
Best suited to: Those with experience of leading in education and working closely with school leaders to support evidence-informed implementation.

Degree Apprenticeships:
Across our London Victoria and Manchester Ancoats campus, we have 363 apprentices currently enrolled on our Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships. The British Paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA) is seeking to appoint an International Education Manager to join our team in central London, with the post requiring some international travel.
The BPNA is the professional organisation for doctors in the UK who specialise in the care of children with neurological disorders. Building on our success to date, we are working jointly with the International League Against Epilepsy to facilitate the roll-out of an educational course for healthcare workers in countries around the world. Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET) was developed by the BPNA and has been running in the UK since 2005, and internationally since 2012, with over 22,000 attendees around the world to date. PET has been successfully launched in 14 countries including Brazil, Ghana, Kenya, India, New Zealand and South Africa. Since 2012, there have been more than 9,000 attendees at courses outside the UK.
The purpose of PET is to raise standards of care for children with epilepsy. A UK faculty team delivers a 3-day launch programme in-country to faculty teams recruited locally, who commit to delivering a minimum of one course per year for 5-years. The purpose of a launch event is to train the local team to deliver courses without reliance on UK faculty members. Roll-out is achieved through a healthcare partnership with the national paediatric or epilepsy organisation.
The purpose of the International Education Manager is to project-manage ‘launches’ and provide additional support to further develop International Education at the BPNA. You will work closely with colleagues and volunteers both in the UK and internationally to plan, problem-solve and to monitor progress against objectives. You will be expected to develop strong project plans and budgets and to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role will involve travel to launch sites in order to run the launches and train local administrators. You will support the ongoing development of the international PET Programme, including managing the travel of 18 international Country Leads to the UK in March 2027. You will also provide continual excellent stewardship to international faculty both established and new. We are looking for an experienced international development professional, who also has events and project-management experience. You will need to be flexible, organised, have meticulous attention to detail, be able to work to tight deadlines and be comfortable working in a global team with colleagues across different time zones.

JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of the International Education Manager is to successfully deliver international PET launches and rollouts and support the on-going delivery and development of the international PET programme. This role will:
· Project manage upcoming PET launches for the Caribbean and El Salvador/ Honduras.
· Travel to launch sites to manage launch events and to train local administrators to run PET courses.
· Manage project budgets and collate data for project reporting.
· Support the Director of Education to deliver the launch application process, monitoring incoming applications and queries.

CORE DUTIES

4. Work alongside the Director of Education, Education Content Co-Ordinator and International Programmes Assistant to support the delivery of the PET123 Update. Manage the travel of international attendees.
5. Develop relationships and Memoranda of Understanding with launch partners.
6. Carry out due diligence on new partners.
7. Working alongside colleagues across the Education department, ensure all course resources are consistent and maintain the quality standards for PET. Furthermore, support international partners to ensure easy access to the resources they need to run courses, including facilitating the translation of materials.
8. Contribute to quarterly Trustees’ reports on international short course activity and to the BPNA’s annual report.
9. Assist the Director of Education with launch information and data for fundraising proposals and reports as required.
10. Support BPNA’s annual conference as required.
11. Assist with other tasks as requested by the Director of Education, Executive Director or Trustees.

About the role

The Role
The Programmes Manager (Education) leads DTL’s schools work, owning the relationships, logistics, and outcomes that sit at the heart of our education offer. This is a delivery role with real breadth: you will manage a national programme of training events, lead on school recruitment and retention, and ensure the programme generates the evidence base that sustains its long-term funding.
You will be the main point of contact for subscribing schools, working closely with the CEO and Head of Partnerships. You will represent DTL’s schools work to funders and external partners, and contribute to the strategic development of the programme over time.
While the Digital Ambassador Programme is currently grant funded for three years, DTL’s intention is for the programme to become financially self-sustaining through school subscriptions, and this role is central to achieving that. As the programme grows, so will the scope of this post and the team to support it.
This is an office based role (flexible working considered) from our Brighton office which will involve some travel.
The Digital Ambassador Programme
The Digital Ambassador Programme is DTL’s flagship schools initiative. It trains staff and student Digital Ambassadors in schools across the UK, equipping them to lead on digital safety from within - and to escalate harmful content directly via DTL’s trusted flagger network.
This model creates both a faculty lead to manage complex reports from young people and also a student lead who will be able to provide peer-to-peer support to their fellow students, ensuring that students who may not wish to report directly to the faculty will still have a reporting mechanism.

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (Y1-3) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. About the Role
Chapter One is seeking a Bradford Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently in and around West Yorkshire. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work some additional hours during busy autumn weeks, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.

Key Responsibilities:
Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers.
Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Partnerships and Advocacy Manager to strengthen The Politics Project’s influencing and partnerships work, with a focus on Democracy Classroom - a non-partisan network of organisations across the youth, education and democracy sectors. You’ll lead the implementation of the new Democracy Classroom strategy, and grow the network’s impact and reach in the build up to the next general election and the implementation of votes at 16.
You will play a central role in expanding and activating the network - supporting over 100 partner organisations to collaborate effectively, share learning, build trust and increase their collective impact. You will be a key player in keeping the sector informed, connected and ready to respond to key moments in democratic engagement, from elections to policy changes.
You will take on a highly relational role, working closely with the team to manage and nurture a complex network blending multiple sectors. You will collaborate with the Director to manage shared relationships across the Democracy Classroom network, building more ownership over time. You’ll help position Democracy Classroom as an important conduit between the sector and major stakeholders like government departments and funders.
This is a dynamic, outward-facing role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on coordination. You’ll work closely with the Head of Communications and Networks, the Democracy Classroom Programme Coordinator and colleagues across The Politics Project to make sure partners feel supported, valued and part of a shared mission.
The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week.
