We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Brighton - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.
You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 10,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. But we don’t want to stop there.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
- Handling safeguarding
- Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
- Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
- Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers
Delivery of Spear Career [20%]
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees
Training the Graduate Coach [10%]
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback
Trainee recruitment [10%]
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics
Continuous professional development
- Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training
Active participation in and support for church team and mission
- As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

We’re looking for two Place Leads to help drive our work in Stoke-on-Trent and East Staffordshire. Each role will be rooted in its local area, but both will work across the whole county, helping us build more connected, inclusive systems that support people to be active in ways that matter to them.
This work is part of a wider investment from Sport England, focused on changing how systems support people to be active. That means shaping how physical activity is understood, prioritised, and embedded, not just in programmes, but in policies, partnerships, and everyday decisions. That includes health, local government, community development, and beyond.
You’ll work with partners, communities, and decision-makers to make sense of what’s already happening, spot where things are stuck, and help shift both the culture and the practice. The work will be messy, layered, and relational. Some days will be about strategy. Others will be about trust.

What does this mean day to day?

The Vacancy
The Independent Monitoring Service is seeking to recruit professionals with experience of working with children and vulnerable adults to the role of Independent Visitor in Wet Yorkshire & Humber, in particular Leeds, Bradford and Hull.
The role of Independent Visitors is to provide visiting services on behalf of NYAS which are consistent with the National Quality Standards for Children’s Homes, Residential Special School Standards, Welsh National Minimum Standards, Health and Social Care Standards Scotland and CQC regulations. The main duties are:
- To undertake monthly visits to identified homes in accordance with the requirements of the relevant NYAS manager.
These visits will be:
Regulation 44 visits to residential children’s homes, short breaks and secure units.
Regulation 25 visits to residential family centres.
Care Quality Commission visits to residential adult homes.
Care Inspectorate Wales regulation 8 visits to residential children’s homes.
RSS20 visits to residential special schools.
Health and social care standards Scotland residential children’s homes.
Monitoring visits to unregulated provision.
- To undertake all tasks as identified by the relevant NYAS manager, during the visits and thereafter, in order to fulfil all aspects of the role.
- To provide factual reports within set timescales as required by the relevant NYAS manager.
Candidates should have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of regulated services and their inspection frameworks and also knowledge of current legislation and statutory guidance relating to children, young people and adults at risk particularly those in residential care.
Candidates must have experience of working within a social or health care organisation, safeguarding and experience of managing complex relationships across a diverse field, e.g. OFSTED inspectors, social workers, residential care workers and registered managers, health care professionals.
Candidates should also possess a professional qualification in a related field, i.e. social work, residential care, health care professional, advocacy or youth work.
This is a self-employed position and you will be paid a sessional rate.
You will also be required to complete annual safeguarding and compliance including, Personal Safety, Data Protection, Information Security, Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity. You will be able to subscribe to an e-learning platform provided by NYAS. The platform will provide you with the opportunity to undertake a number of other professional courses that you can complete in your own time to maintain your own CPD. You can do this on the e-learning platform at a significantly reduced cost compared to undertaking each course individually with different providers.

Job Profile
CAFOD’s work in the Catholic community of England and Wales is to inspire and resource Catholics to participate in the Church’s mission to overcome poverty and injustice in partnership with CAFOD.
The main purpose of this role is to inspire and increase the participation in CAFOD’s work of Catholic parishes, schools and the broader Catholic community within the Portsmouth Diocese. CPCs are accountable for delivering CAFOD’s annual participation plans locally across England and Wales. As well as growing the number of parishes and schools participating to address global poverty and express solidarity with our global family, we aim to increase the breadth of their engagement, participation.
This will be accomplished partly by the recruitment and support of a team of committed, inspired and well-resourced volunteers working in parish and school communities to enable and equip Catholics to give, act and pray. The work will also involve meeting important church-based stakeholders, advisers and networks within the diocese to build fruitful and positive relationships.
The post reports to the Community Participation Manager for the East Region (The dioceses of Portsmouth, Arundel and Brighton, Southwark, Brentwood, East Anglia, Westminster, Northampton, Nottingham, Hallam, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Hexham & Newcastle)
The Community Participation Coordinator (CPC) is part of a regional team working across a group of dioceses and whilst having a primary focus on one diocese, is responsible for the results of the regional team plans in relation parishioner and school participation and volunteer recruitment and retention.
The role will be home based, although the post holder will be mobile and flexible to meet volunteers, clergy and other stakeholders and contribute at events as required.
The role requires a willingness to be adaptable to support the work of the regional team, deploying skills, knowledge and at times activity in other parts of the regional team area. This is likely to require some additional travel (which would be reimbursed by CAFOD). The post also requires weekend and evening work for which time off in lieu (toil) can be claimed.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering participation plans
- Share accountability for delivery of annual participation plans for the region (a group of dioceses) with a primary focus on one diocese, and for fundraising, education, campaigns, and other targets, as delineated by the participation plan for the region. It is usually anticipated that the role will have an 80% focus on parish communities and a 20% focus on school communities
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a regional plan across a number of dioceses in support of the annual participation plans and appropriate for local contexts
- Achieve targets for increasing parishioner and children & young people participation primarily through recruitment and retention of volunteers and working with clergy, religious, diocesan and parish advisers and administrators etc.
- Monitor and share information around community participation and recruitment, activity, development and retention of volunteers

Managing volunteers
- Be the local volunteer manager in a specific diocese or dioceses
- Hold the relationship with, and coordinate the work of, a number of volunteers in order to achieve the annual participation plan in the region
- Contribute to increasing the number and activity of parish and school volunteers and volunteer co-ordinators in line with the regional team plan
- Contribute to development of volunteering opportunities and volunteer leadership
- Match the offers, skills, experiences and expectations of volunteers with opportunities and needs in relation to CAFOD’s plans for parishioners and children & young people
- Ensure each volunteer is appropriately inducted, briefed, trained and resourced
- Increase and ensure volunteer retention through induction, support, affirmation and effective management of the volunteer throughout their involvement with CAFOD
- Organize and promote volunteer meetings and training opportunities to be delivered either by national programme teams or self or members of her/his regional team

Managing relationships
- Build and maintain key relationships including with priests, advisers, school staff and others within a diocese as determined in the regional plan. Be point of contact with the local Bishop.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with diocesan communications officers and press and be a point of contact for local broadcast and print media, to increase opportunities for Catholics to hear about CAFOD’s work, working with and through media volunteers where possible.

ST ALDATES and ACT CHARITY
St Aldates’ vision is to invite people to encounter Jesus, equip people to follow Jesus in every area of their lives, and envision people to transform their communities. We are pioneering new ways of discipling people to make a difference in every area of their lives. A vibrant church with a congregation of 1200+, we are passionate about connecting with and supporting people who are street homeless and those in or leaving local prisons.
As a city centre church, working alongside people who are poor or marginalised is a key part of our ministry and is carried out largely through Aldates Community Transformation Initiatives (ACT). ACT’s welcoming community offers support designed to help people find belonging, purpose and hope, which is carefully shaped to fit each individual’s needs. This includes street and prison outreach, community meals, mentoring and supported housing.
ACT is a registered charity with a board of trustees drawn from within the church, including the Rector. We are a growing charity with seven salaried staff, and over 65 local volunteers. Staff are employed by St Aldates PCC and seconded to the ACT Charity.
At the heart of the charity is our ACT Family, a group of individuals living in our supported houses, and at varying stages of journeying towards independent living. We engage with these individuals on a relational basis through three main areas of support:
A community: regular opportunities to gather including a weekly breakfast and Bible study, small groups, social and vocational events, and an annual retreat.
A home: a safe, stable place in one of 11 ACT-managed properties in the city, and sustained 1:1 support from the team.
A mentor: regular sessions with a trained mentor to enable people to grow in confidence, skills and aspiration, including support to volunteer, study or find employment.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Progression Coordinator is responsible for engaging directly with our core ACT Family residents of supported ACT houses and inspiring their ongoing development. A large part of this will be helping them develop the skills needed so they can move towards living independently.
Key Duties
The role is split into two key areas:
Support, coaching and progression for individuals living in our ACT houses:
- Working alongside the Housing Manager to build relationships with the ACT Family
- Inspiring residents to explore a pathway towards independent living
- Establishing Personal Development Plans (PDPs) in response to the needs of each individual
- Administratively holding and monitoring the progress of the PDPs
- Conducting regular reviews with each resident and updating PDPs accordingly
- Giving regular progress reports to the Housing Manager and Head of ACT
- Managing relationships with all mentors, including monitoring their engagement with the ACT Family and identifying any opportunities or risks
- Organising mentor training and events as required
- Identifying training and deploying new mentors as required
- Maintaining relationships with ACT Family members who are moving out of ACT houses, ensuring they are equipped and supported as they move on
- Providing ad-hoc cover and support for the Housing Manager as required (e.g. holiday and sickness cover, as well as picking up some day-to-day tasks if required)
Outward engagement into the wider community:
- Ongoing engagement and relationship-building with the wider housing and charity sector in and around Oxford
- Creating strategic industry connections that help implement the PDPs, including but not limited to private landlords and agencies able to support progression out of ACT houses
- Building connections with local employers willing and able to train or employ the residents
- Developing connections with local educational and vocational organisations able to support the residents

Essential criteria
- Professional qualifications or professional experience in an area directly relevant to the role, e.g. Social Work, Occupational Health, Probation, Housing, Nursing/Mental Health, Therapy, Coaching
- Understanding of and experience working with marginalised adults, particularly former prisoners or homeless people
- Experience of managing projects and organising events

London Gypsies and Travellers (LGT) is an organisation that challenges social exclusion and discrimination, working for change in partnership with Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller people. We work with families across London Boroughs, including those living on council caravan sites, roadside camps, in bricks and mortar housing, and those experiencing homelessness.
Our Bright Futures programme offers mentoring and skills support to young Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller people aged 15–25 years. Through tailored one-to-one work, group activities and practical help, we support young people to build confidence, motivation and pride in their identity, while developing the tools they need to succeed in wider society.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a motivated and organised Youth Project Worker to support the delivery of Bright Futures. This is a varied role that combines project coordination, outreach support, administration, and direct engagement with young people.
You’ll help keep the programme running smoothly behind the scenes while also building trusted relationships with partner services and young people and families, supporting communications, and contributing to learning and reflection.
What will the role involve?
As a Youth Project Worker, you will:
- Support the day-to-day administration of the mentoring and employability programme, including record-keeping and report preparation
- Help coordinate communications activities such as creating new material, WhatsApp updates, and social media
- Maintain and grow referral networks with employers, training providers, and community organisations
- Engage directly with young people and their families to raise awareness and encourage participation
- Hold a light caseload of mentees and support mentoring activities as needed

Contract Terms

Team Administrator

Job Profile
CAFOD’s work in the Catholic community of England and Wales is to inspire and resource Catholics to participate in the Church’s mission to overcome poverty and injustice in partnership with CAFOD.
The main purpose of this role is to inspire and increase the participation in CAFOD’s work of Catholic parishes, schools and the broader Catholic community within the Plymouth Diocese. CPCs are accountable for delivering CAFOD’s annual participation plans locally across England and Wales. As well as growing the number of parishes and schools participating to address global poverty and express solidarity with our global family, we aim to increase the breadth of their engagement, participation.
This will be accomplished partly by the recruitment and support of a team of committed, inspired and well-resourced volunteers working in parish and school communities to enable and equip Catholics to give, act and pray. The work will also involve meeting important church-based stakeholders, advisers and networks within the diocese to build fruitful and positive relationships.
The post reports to the Community Participation Manager for Wales & West Region (The dioceses of Lancaster, Liverpool, Salford, Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Cardiff-Menevia, Clifton, Birmingham, and Plymouth)
The Community Participation Coordinator (CPC) is part of a regional team working across a group of dioceses and whilst having a primary focus on one diocese, is responsible for the results of the regional team plans in relation parishioner and school participation and volunteer recruitment and retention.
The role will be home based, although the post holder will be mobile and flexible to meet volunteers, clergy and other stakeholders and contribute at events as required.
The role requires a willingness to be adaptable to support the work of the regional team, deploying skills, knowledge and at times activity in other parts of the regional team area. This is likely to require some additional travel (which would be reimbursed by CAFOD). The post also requires weekend and evening work for which time off in lieu (toil) can be claimed.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering participation plans
- Share accountability for delivery of annual participation plans for the region (a group of dioceses) with a primary focus on one diocese, and for fundraising, education, campaigns, and other targets, as delineated by the participation plan for the region. It is usually anticipated that the role will have an 80% focus on parish communities and a 20% focus on school communities

UK Reads is seeking dynamic, passionate, and engaging Literacy Workshop Facilitators to join our team. As a Literacy Facilitator, you will be responsible for delivering inspiring and interactive literacy workshops to children and young people in schools and community settings across London, with a particular focus on East London.
Our workshops are designed to support key literacy skills including reading comprehension, vocabulary building, performance, creative thinking, imagination, communication, and - above all -the joy of reading. Sessions are child-centred, adaptable, and responsive to the needs of different schools and learners. Activities include interactive storytelling, games, drama-based literacy, and imaginative writing tasks that spark curiosity and build confidence.
Facilitators will also help deliver our whole-class or group Pen Pal Project—a volunteer-driven initiative that engages pupils in the power of letter writing. This project amplifies young voices, nurtures connection through communication, and encourages writing for authentic purposes. It is designed to help children fall in love with writing while developing empathy and self-expression and connecting them to peers in other countries.
This is a flexible freelance position with workshop opportunities varying monthly. Facilitators must reside in London and be available to travel across the city. A willingness to travel outside of London for special sessions or events is an advantage.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, energetic, confident, and able to independently lead engaging, creative, and inclusive sessions. The successful candidate will bring a strong literacy background, a passion for working with children, and the ability to adapt in diverse and dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver literacy workshops and writing sessions independently or as part of a small team to children and young people in schools, fostering a safe, collaborative, and productive learning environment.
- Utilise your expertise to lead workshops, ensuring that participants get the most out of the experience and actively engage in literacy activities.
- Support in the creation of student-centred workshops that cater to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of the community.
- Offer encouragement and motivation to participants to enhance their literacy skills and confidence.
- Support the Delivery Lead to ensure the smooth running of workshop days, including setting up activities and managing logistics.
- Ensure that workshop activities are safely and effectively implemented in an organised and professional manner.
- Participate in the evaluation of workshop and sessions delivery, gathering feedback from schools and students, and providing input for ongoing development and improvement.
- Attend virtual check-ins and trainings with the Delivery Lead or Programme Manager.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support the Delivery Lead in developing and delivering targeted literacy workshops tailored to students' reading levels, interests, and compensation needs.
- Co-deliver Pen Pal Project writing workshops, engaging whole classes and supporting volunteers in the delivery of inclusive, creative writing sessions for children aged 5–16. Encourage writing enjoyment, fluency, and confidence in every session.
- Adapt workshop content to suit varying literacy levels and ensure accessibility and engagement for all participants.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience delivering educational or creative workshops to children and young people - particularly those focused on literacy, storytelling, drama, or performance.
- Strong literacy background and fluent command of English (written and spoken).
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SENDs).
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures.
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

BACKGROUND
Ashiana is a ‘by and for’ women's led BME VAWG service with 30 years’ experience in delivering a holistic range of specialist services to South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern women affected by VAWG.
OUR SERVICES
Ashiana runs three refuges with a total of 29 bedspaces; specifically for women aged 16-35 fleeing forced marriage. This multi award winning project is the only service of its kind in the UK and is highly innovative in terms of addressing an area of significant need not met in other refuge provision. Within these refuges we designate a number of bedspaces for women with no recourse to public funds. We offer an advice and support service to women and girls who are experiencing VAWG, enabling them to make informed decisions and exit violent relationships. We provide a legal service supporting women with no recourse to public funds to help resolve their immigration status.
Counselling is offered for women and girls affected by VAWG. The counselling service works from an integrative stance, with the focus of providing a holistic service whereby we also work alongside other services and provide specialist domestic violence group work. The emphasis of therapeutic work with our clients is from a trauma informed model.
We also deliver an education programme for young people in secondary schools in East London aimed at preventing domestic violence and enabling young people experiencing domestic violence to access appropriate services. The prevention service includes delivering a whole school approach in schools to young people as well as group work to women and girls across North East London boroughs as well as community engagement activities and delivery. We deliver a range of awareness raising workshops for young people in the community and training on domestic violence for professionals in the voluntary and statutory sector.
PRIMARY TASK
The post is instrumental in overseeing the delivery of a comprehensive package of services and care for women in our refuges. To provide a safe environment and a service that is appropriate to the needs of young BME women particularly those from South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern communities and to support ex-clients following resettlement.
The post holder will have a caseload of clients and be responsible for providing advice, advocacy, casework and support to women and girls, advocating on behalf of these women and making others aware of their particular needs. The post-holder is required to demonstrate sensitivity and an awareness of the culture and needs of minoritised communities in all aspects of their duties and responsibilities.

About the role:
The purpose of this role is to build and manage Khulisa's high-impact partnerships with schools, communities, and corporates that generate income and expand the reach of our therapeutic programmes. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Identifying, initiating, cultivating and managing relationships with schools, Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), Local Authorities
- Working closely with Khulisa's Head of Programmes and Participation to develop, implement and regularly review our schools engagement plan
- Developing and maintaining relationships with corporate partners to generate financial support, sponsorships, and other forms of engagement
- Maintaining a record of and report on partnership pipelines, engagement outcomes, and income forecasts and actuals
