This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fund as we expand the UK Portfolio to meet our ambitions in delivering the strategy. We're looking for two people to join the UK Portfolio Team as Heads of Funding, leading a team of just under 40.

The UK Portfolio supports the ambitions and potential of communities across the UK.We focus on scaling projects with a UK-wide benefit, through significant investments, which enable systems-level change for communities. Our funding is intended to complement the work of other country portfolios: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

As one of four Heads of Funding in UK Portfolio you will oversee all aspects of our work and ensure the team is resourced and able to deliver operationally. Heads of Funding are responsible for ensuring our programmes are designed and delivered to the scope, standard and deadlines required and will lead on specific strategic areas and relationships inside and outside the Fund. Heads of Funding are responsible for ensuring an understanding of the external policy, practice and funding context from across the UK is reflected in our delivery. You will provide leadership for the team, supporting the work of the Portfolio Managers.

We are currently evolving our UK Portfolio funding offers and  programmes in response to the strategy, developing a partnerships offer, and how we are more than a funder through our support to communities across the UK.

All Heads of will lead on a combination of strategic and operational priorities and the roles will involve a variety of responsibilities including:

• Overseeing up to £50m of grant commitments each year ensuring compliance with our operational and governance policies and requirements
• Lead one of the community-led missions in relation to the UK Portfolio’s funding offer
• Lead the strategic development and direction of a combination of our funding programmes and partnership approach
• Responsible for stakeholder management, both internally and externally
• Ensure learning and impact of our work is shared appropriately and informs our practice
• Lead engagement with our decision making Panels, Committees and Board
• Team leadership including culture, resource planning and team development
• Fund wide leadership either relating to one of the missions or as part of cross Fund priorities

You will need to work closely with the other Heads of Funding and each day will be a blend of operational and strategic work, stakeholder engagement, team leadership with lots of opportunities to collaborate with others across the Fund.

We are looking for ambitious, creative and passionate people with experience of the funding environment and brokering partnerships. Excellent leadership and collaboration skills will be essential in building relationships at all levels, from senior management to external stakeholders and funding colleagues across the Fund. You’ll have a keen understanding of the nuances of working within a public body, and a deep commitment to ensuring we are delivering impact through our current funding portfolio whilst also looking to the future and developing new funding initiatives and ways of working to meet our 2030 vision.

Due to our dispersed nature as a team, it is expected that there will be occasional travel in order to connect with colleagues, stakeholders and projects. This is likely to be one to two occasions per month.

We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Managers to join our IT Transformation Team at Look Ahead. In this role, you will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of various projects including Finance systems and case management systems. You will work closely with the Head of IT Programme and cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level professional looking to grow their career in project management.

9am - 5pm work hours.

This is a fixed term contract of 12 months.

What you'll do:

Assist in the development of project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

• Lead the delivery of an ambitious and creative media and campaign strategy to bring about an improved recognition of the value and impact of youth work.
• Lead on other campaign strategy and planning, utilising a range of campaign tactics integrating media, digital media and other campaign tactics, working closely with other members of the Comms team and across Directorates.
• Oversee campaign activity for the annual Youth Work Week, to ensure the campaign engages key opinion formers and provides an opportunity for those within the sector to celebrate the impactful work they do.

What will I be doing?

• Driving continued growth of CRUK audiences and supporters by proactively managing the delivery of the Giving Platforms programme with implementation plans, working collaboratively and cross-functionally across MFE and beyond, within the allocated budget

• Ensuring that agile cross-functional teams deliver against shared audiences, volume, value, contribution and other objectives, by effectively managing activities, while empowering team members to make decisions

• Collaborating with MFE Proposition teams to develop understanding of their audience needs and income objectives, and supporting them to achieve this by implementing tests and initiatives that leverage opportunities on third party and CRUK owned giving platforms

• Driving a culture of end-to-end delivery, building excellent working relationships, and ensuring a collective understanding of the Giving Platforms programme

• Ensuring that standards are set and upheld for proposition squad processes and culture - including frequent touchpoints and communication cross-functionally, in conjunction with the Senior Programme Manager, Programme Community of Practice and any external benchmarking of best practice in our sector

• Ensuring sound resource allocation plans, proposition briefs and business cases are developed

• Facilitating group activity e.g. proposition squad or working group, including cross-functional decision making, dependency, risk, and issue mediation

• Effectively and efficiently coordinating any changes to the implementation plan, using tools such as service blueprints, working in collaboration with Internal stakeholders, to ensure than any amendments are driving the product/proposition towards the desired outcome

• Working with external stakeholders, such as third-party fundraising platforms to meet CRUK in year and long-term goals

What skills are we looking for?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide administrative and functional support to the management team
• Provide general administrative and organisational support to the LtL team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Eastleigh office.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Office Administration

• Be the first point of contact for all callers, including email, phone and in-person
• Administer incoming and outgoing mail and email boxes, giving appropriate advice or referring onwards on within one working day
• Support the management of IT equipment

• Arrange travel and accommodation for managers, staff and trustees
• Assist with the organisation of events, conferences and training on behalf of LtL
• Organise refreshments and catering at events and meetings

• Maintain LtL’s records/files/images both electronic and paper based, ensuring all data is stored accurately and securely in accordance with LtL policy and GDPR law

• Order stationery and day-to-day equipment and refreshments for the LtL office

• Implement LtL’s Health and Safety Policy within the office
• Maintain liaison with landlords to ensure a well-maintained office space and oversee the maintenance and replacement of office furniture and equipment.

HR Support

• Support recruitment and onboarding admin as needed
• Order staff uniforms, badges and equipment as required.

Project Management Support/Administration

• Respond to project enquiries and requests to ensure they are appropriately actioned within one working day

• Develop good relationships with schools over the duration of the projects Assist with printing and collation of information including replenishment of marketing/training materials, resources and stationery for the project team.

General responsibilities

• Contribute to LtL through staff and working group meetings and by taking on specific areas of responsibility as required

What you’ll need:

Essential criteria:

• A minimum of 2 years experience of working as part of a team in a busy office environment
• Educated to a good standard of education with C Standard Grades or equivalent
• Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines

As a Policy Manager - Equity & Equality you will address systemic barriers and inequities in end of life care. You'll develop evidence-based policy positions, translate research into actionable recommendations, and work directly with stakeholders, communities, and decision-makers to advocate for change. You will play a vital role in influencing activities within the equity and equality workstream by promoting equity of access and experience in end of life care.

Main responsibilities:
- Lead specific areas of policy and influencing work focused on inequities in end of life care, under guidance from the Senior Policy Manager.
- Analyse research and policy trends, develop clear and inclusive policy recommendations, and produce high-quality outputs (briefings, consultation responses, blogs, reports).
- Build relationships with decision-makers, community organisations, and stakeholder networks to embed the voices of underrepresented groups in all policy work.
- Help ensure lived experience is central to our recommendations by co-producing projects with affected individuals and communities.
- Represent Marie Curie at external events, policy coalitions, and media opportunities; act as a spokesperson on relevant equity issues.
- Contribute to funding bids, internal working groups, and cross-UK collaboration to ensure a joined-up policy approach.

Key Criteria:
- Strong policy analysis skills and experience producing impactful evidence-based policy products.
- Knowledge of the UK policy landscape and experience of working with decision-makers or public bodies.
- Understanding of equity, equality, and structural barriers in health or social care.
- Confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to translate complex evidence into clear messaging for a variety of audiences.
- Experience leading or supporting cross-functional projects and working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to inclusive and participatory approaches, particularly working with people affected by dying, death or bereavement.
- Experience in one or more of the following will be advantageous: palliative care, health inequalities, bereavement support, or social justice campaigns.

About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant who can work with our high performing team to deliver a first-class management accounting service to the British Museum.

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or other.

The service offers specialist support to homeless men across a range of areas including re-offending behaviour, mental health issues, physical health needs and substance misuse. Edward Alsop Court implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model.
