About the role
The successful candidate for this role will have day-to-day involvement with local branches, to include developing long-lasting relationships with the volunteer network and encouraging participation in raising awareness throughout the region.
About you
- To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of building and maintain relationships, preferably with volunteer groups.
- You will be the first point of contact for our volunteers and work with them as we go through a period of transition.
- You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures in consultation with the Regional Fundraising Manager, Regional Fundraising Officer and Volunteer Development Manager.

- Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live within Wales.

- It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across Wales would be valuable.
- About the team
- The fundraising team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working relationship providing support as and when required. You will be supported by the Regional Fundraising Manager and work closely with volunteers from the SSAFA branches in Wales, the Regional Fundraising Officer for Wales and the Volunteer Development Manager.

The primary function of this role is to support the CEO and Head of Member Engagement with all administrative activities that relate to our existing membership and training, including updating our CRM system (ThankQ), dealing with membership correspondence and growth, hosting webinars via Zoom, and helping to plan and deliver our annual conference (May 10th in 2023) in London. The postholder will report to the Head of Member Engagement. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of CRM systems and customer service, and experience of charities and membership processes will be a distinct advantage. The postholder will also support the CEO in managing relationships with key external stakeholders and dealing with governance.
Main Duties
• Membership and data:
- Initial contact for all membership, training and stakeholder enquiries
- Processing memberships on ThankQ, to include:
- Importing new contacts and updating contact information as required
- Importing new memberships
- Providing our finance function with the information required to invoice new and renewing members
- Ensuring that ILM Members’ information is accurate and up to date
- Working with the Head of Member Engagement to shape and send appropriate induction materials to new members
- To lead on member data accuracy, efficiency and drive forward any improvements
• Training and events:
- Helping to create new training events on ThankQ and our website
- Overseeing bookings within ThankQ, creating accurate delegate lists and ensuring that Finance have the information required for invoicing
- Assisting with organising events on Zoom, including sending panellist and delegate links
- Starting and hosting webinars, sharing this responsibility with the Head of Member Engagement (this postholder will not actually be delivering any training)
- Helping to process videos and uploading these to the website, after webinars and training have completed.
- Sending certificates, recordings and slides to all delegates after training courses are completed.
- Assisting with the administration of our main qualifications, the Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration and the Diploma in Charity Legacy Management, and all other training programme administration
- Creating name badges and a final delegate list for the ILM Annual Conference in May 2024 (and each year)
• Governance
- Supporting the CEO in sending out Board Papers and other Board communications
- Assisting with Board meeting minutes as required and setting dates for meetings

-Working to maximise the ILM income / accounts by taking the lead on the identification and chasing of debtors (course sales, membership, and all other outstanding debts) for 0.5 days per week on average

Role Overview
The Programme Associate delivers Facing History training and support to educators, helps to build and engage our network of teachers and, using Facing History’s pedagogical framework, creates clear and accessible curriculum materials and resources.
The Programme Associate will initially be managed by the Executive Director and be accountable to our Senior Programme Associate (responsible for programme delivery) and Senior Curriculum Developer (responsible for developing and adapting educational resources) respectively for work that falls into their areas of responsibility.
This post holder will be required to attend meetings in London and there will be travel across the UK. Proximity to good transport links is therefore essential.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
Working alongside the programme team, the postholder will have the following key duties and responsibilities:

Teacher Community Support and Engagement: creating relationships with teachers across our community, and running events and opportunities for them to engage more effectively with the organisation. Supporting evaluation and monitoring of the work, utilising relationships with teachers to secure their participation in surveys, focus groups and evaluation studies, as needed. Working with the Programme Administrator to ensure that regular communications go out to the educator network and to keep the database up to date.

Programme Partnerships: alongside the Senior Programme Associate identifying and developing partnerships with schools, academy trusts (England), regional bodies and third sector organisations who can help to disseminate our work and become potential delivery partners.

Content Development: alongside the Senior Curriculum Developer, developing web- and print-based content for teachers and students, including lesson plans, units, study guides, and other resources. Researching, writing, and summarising complex histories to provide context for resources. Maintaining knowledge and expertise in best practices in teaching, pedagogy, and assessment, and ensuring those practices are reflected as appropriate in Facing History content. Providing content for our Ideas This Week website page and providing other means of supporting teachers to respond to current events in their classrooms. In conjunction with the Programme Administrator write / review content for Facing History UK social media activity linked to existing and newly developed resources.
Other: contributing to the smooth operation and effectiveness of the charity as part of a small team, representing the charity at events and conferences as required, and supporting the work of other members of the team as reasonably required.

Glaucoma UK is the charity for people with glaucoma. Our vision is to end preventable glaucoma sight loss. We want everyone with glaucoma to be able to live well with the condition.

There is no cure for glaucoma. Sight loss from the disease cannot be reversed. Eye drop treatments can be painful and awkward and can cause more distress than the disease itself. As Training and Engagement Officer (Southern England), you’ll join our team of three other Training and Engagement Officers covering Northern England, Scotland/Wales and Northern Ireland. Across your region, you will be responsible for delivering our new, aspirational strategy by:
• Hearing and being the voice of people with glaucoma across your region;
• Providing support for people with glaucoma, potentially including support groups, conferences or working with local organisations to enable them to provide support;
• Raising awareness of glaucoma, particularly amongst high risk groups;
• Training and collaborating with professionals who work with people with glaucoma.
Your high quality delivery of these services is central to our success is key in this role. You will work closely with colleagues in the wider Support Services team, including the helpline, professional engagement and health information. You will also be involved with the Communications team, especially during public awareness raising campaign weeks.
You will deliver Glaucoma UK's outreach, training and engagement strategy in the South of England, including raising awareness among the general public, providing services for people affected by glaucoma and delivering training to health care professionals.

The successful candidate for this role will have day-to-day involvement with local branches, to include developing long-lasting relationships with the volunteer network and encouraging participation in raising awareness throughout the region.
About you
- To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of building and maintain relationships, preferably with volunteer groups.
- You will be the first point of contact for our volunteers and work with them as we go through a period of transition.
- You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures in consultation with the Regional Fundraising Manager, Regional Fundraising Officer and Volunteer Development Manager.

- Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live within the East Midlands region.

About the team
The fundraising team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working relationship providing support as and when required. You will be supported by the Regional Fundraising Manager and work closely with volunteers from the SSAFA branches in the East Midlands, the Regional Fundraising Officer for East Midlands and the Volunteer Development Manager.

Engagement Lead
We’re looking for a motivated, driven individual to lead our Engagement team in London. You will be passionate about empowering people affected by stroke and working with NHS colleagues to improving stroke care.
Position: S1104 Engagement Lead
Location: Home-based, London. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (May include team meetings or other work-related meetings).

The Role
The Engagement Lead will report to the Associate Director for London and is responsible for leading our Engagement Team and function in London. You will play a key role in our London Senior Leadership team alongside a service delivery colleague. You will drive our engagement with colleagues in the London Health and Social Care system and with people affected by stroke.
Key responsibilities will include supporting the London team to:
· Develop and deliver our London Locality plan alongside the rest of our London senior leadership team.

· Develop a London community volunteering approach.
· Scope and lead on engagement projects to achieve outcomes in our London Locality plan.

The Opportunity
We work with both schools and education organisations such as charities, universities and education technology companies (our ‘impact partners’). Our work with impact partners focuses on helping these organisations to develop their impact evaluation methods and deliver evaluations. We divide this work into four different strands: evaluation design, capacity building workshops, use of our School Impact Platform and external evaluations. This role revolves around the implementation of the School Impact Platform in particular and focuses on some large-scale projects commencing shortly.
We are looking for a candidate who can lead on school onboarding and engagement. This means they have to have knowledge of the school context and how schools work internally as well as be comfortable communicating with different stakeholders in schools. In particular, you would be supporting schools as they are being onboarded onto the platform (meaning setting up their accounts and data collection tools) and follow up with them regularly to ensure good quality data collection is happening. You would work closely with our Impact Partnerships Officer, who will lead on the project, and our platform lead, who will provide support from a technical and product development side. You would need to be strong in written communication and enjoy engaging with schools and answering their queries.
About You
We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others:

Understanding of the UK education system including understanding of school data, roles and terminology

We’re looking for a motivated individual to lead the implementation of strategies and plans to improve the involvement and impact of patients and the public in and across the Greater Manchester Neurorehabilitation and Integrated Stroke Delivery Network (GMNISDN).
Position: S1100 Involvement Coordinator

The Role
This role is for a Patient and Carer Involvement Coordinator, hosted by the Stroke Association on behalf of the GMINSDN.
Reporting to the Stroke Association Engagement Lead, and working closely with the GMNISDN managers, key responsibilities will include:
· Developing and enhancing the existing PPI initiatives including the patient and carer groups and strengthening their impact.
· Improving engagement with the clinical stakeholders and voluntary sector to develop more holistic, patient centred pathways of care.
· Increasing the opportunities for participation of underrepresented groups to help reduce health inequalities in stroke and neurorehabilitation services.
About You
You will have a proven record of:
· Embedding patient and public involvement practices into health services including designing and delivering inclusive activities.
· Building collaborative relationships using diplomacy and tact.
This Stroke Association based role will be putting people affected by stroke and neurological conditions at the heart of the GMINSDN, partnering with them to shape our work wherever their insight and expertise can add value.
