Job description

Community Hub Partnership Lead | Leicester South Foodbank

Location: 40 Bell Street, Wigston
Hours: 37 hours per week or option to Job share 2.5 day per week.

Want a role where you can bring people together and make a real difference for the community in South Leicester?

Join Leicester South Foodbank and lead a vibrant, multi-agency Community Hub supporting people facing poverty and crisis.

About the Role

This isn’t just a community role – it’s an opportunity to shape a trusted local hub at the heart of Wigston and Oadby.

As Hub Partnership Lead, you will drive the delivery of a welcoming, inclusive and high-quality service that brings together partners, volunteers and support services in one place. You’ll combine frontline support with partnership leadership, ensuring people can access the help they need quickly and effectively.

From supporting individuals in crisis to coordinating services and managing the hub environment, you’ll play a key role in reducing reliance on emergency support and strengthening the community.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong interpersonal skills and can build trust with people from all backgrounds
  • Is confident providing advice, guidance and support to individuals in challenging situations
  • Can develop effective partnerships and bring organisations together
  • Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Has experience working with or supporting vulnerable individuals (desirable)
  • Is confident managing volunteers and creating a positive team culture
  • Has good IT and administrative skills, with attention to detail
  • Is adaptable, resilient and solutions-focused
  • Is passionate about supporting communities and tackling poverty

About Us

Leicester South Foodbank is one of the largest foodbanks in the region, providing vital support through a network of centres, partners and volunteers.

Our Community Hub brings services together to offer more than emergency support – helping people access advice, build resilience and move towards longer-term stability.

Why Join Us?

This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Lead a high-impact community hub making a tangible difference
  • Work with a wide range of partners and local organisations
  • Shape services that respond directly to community needs
  • Support individuals to access the help they need and build brighter futures

If you are motivated to bring people and services together to create real change, we would love to hear from you.
