About Under One Sky & The Lighthouse
Under One Sky works alongside people experiencing homelessness to provide practical support, human connection, and pathways toward greater stability.
Lighthouse creates the conditions for people who have experienced homelessness to move beyond survival and begin rebuilding their lives. Over twelve weeks, small cohorts come together in a consistent, supportive space where confidence grows, relationships are rebuilt, and people reconnect with their sense of direction and possibility.
Through outreach, partnership working, and volunteer-led programmes, we aim to create spaces where people are treated with dignity, trust, and consistency.
The role
The Programme Manager leads the operational delivery of Lighthouse, ensuring the programme runs safely, reliably, and to a consistently high standard across the programme week. This role sits at the centre of the work - creating the conditions that allow Lighthouse to function with both structure and humanity.
Lighthouse operates in a dynamic environment where participant needs, operational demands, and volunteer teams intersect daily. You will bring clarity and calm to that complexity, maintaining strong systems and organisation while responding thoughtfully and decisively to what emerges in real time.
You will take ownership of the systems, planning, and operational coordination that underpin delivery. This includes overseeing key sessions, ensuring volunteers are well supported, and maintaining a physical space that is safe, welcoming, and well run. Your role is to make sure Lighthouse works - consistently, reliably, and with care.
You will also play a central role in shaping how Lighthouse develops over time. By observing how delivery works in practice, you will identify what can be strengthened and translate this into practical improvements. This requires sound judgement, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing things well.
You will work closely with the Engagement Manager to ensure Lighthouse remains both operationally strong and deeply responsive to the people it serves.
Key responsibilities
Operational leadership
- Lead the day-to-day operational delivery of the Lighthouse
- Plan and coordinate the weekly programme schedule, ensuring delivery is reliable and consistent
- Ensure sessions are well staffed and supported by volunteers and team members
- Provide operational leadership during high-demand sessions
- Respond calmly and effectively to challenges if they arise
Programme systems and coordination
- Develop and maintain systems that support consistent high-quality delivery
- Coordinate logistics including spaces, equipment, supplies, and delivery resources
- Support budgeting, resource planning, and cost oversight
- Maintain clear and consistently applied operational processes
Space and facilities management
- Ensure the Lighthouse space is safe, organised, and ready for delivery
- Oversee opening and closing procedures
- Coordinate setup and breakdown of delivery areas, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain a welcoming, well-structured environment for participants, volunteers, and staff
- Liaise with venue partners or building managers where required
Volunteer coordination
- Coordinate volunteer scheduling and session rotas across the programme week
- Ensure sessions are appropriately supported by volunteers
- Maintain clear and timely communication with volunteers
Programme monitoring
- Ensure delivery data is recorded accurately and consistently
- Maintain operational records to support reporting and learning
- Support monitoring of delivery against agreed objectives and metrics
Programme development and operational improvement
- Monitor how Lighthouse operates in practice and identify opportunities to strengthen delivery
- Translate learning from day-to-day delivery into practical adjustments to programme design, scheduling, and systems
- Work with the Engagement Manager and the Co-Leads to implement improvements
- Ensure changes are communicated clearly and embedded across volunteers and teams
Operational partnerships
- Coordinate practical relationships with venues, delivery partners, and collaborators
- Manage operational arrangements for Lighthouse sessions
- Ensure partnerships support reliable and well-organised programme delivery

Working pattern
Lighthouse operates primarily between 8:00am and 8:00pm, with occasional evening events. Programme delivery is supported by a team of volunteers.
The two Managers coordinate their working schedules to ensure presence during key delivery periods across the programme week.
Working patterns are flexible and planned collaboratively to support delivery while maintaining sustainable workloads.
Lighthouse Management Structure
Lighthouse is delivered through a shared model, with two Managers working together to ensure the programme remains a safe, consistent, and dignified space for people experiencing homelessness.
Delivering this well requires both strong programme organisation and careful, trauma-informed engagement with participants.
The two Managers hold complementary responsibilities that ensure Lighthouse is both well-run and deeply responsive to the people it serves. While each role leads on specific areas of the programme, they work closely together to maintain consistent standards, clear communication, and a reliable experience for participants.

What you’ll do
You will develop and deliver high‑quality mental health and wellbeing training, in Welsh and English, to school staff across Wales, including leading the Strategies for Safety and Wellbeing (SSW) programme. You will provide ongoing implementation support to schools, collaborate with colleagues to design evidence‑based learning materials, contribute to Welsh‑language development plans, and deliver training both virtually and in person. Working independently and substantial travel to schools in Wales will be involved (with expenses covered).
What you’ll bring
You will be bilingual (Welsh and English) and demonstrate knowledge of the needs of autistic students and those with social, emotional, or mental health difficulties. The ability to foster safe and supportive learning environments to diverse groups (including education professionals, practitioners and parents/carers and young people) is important for this role.
Essential requirements:
- Postgraduate‑qualified mental health professional and professional accreditation (e.g., HCPC, BACP, BPS, BPC, BABCP).
- Extensive experience supporting children and young people in mental health or leading wellbeing in education settings.
- Written and spoken Welsh and English language skills, with proven ability to design and deliver high‑quality training.
- Confident IT user, including Zoom and Microsoft Office suite (particularly presentation and training interaction tools).
- Strong understanding of UK education and mental health systems, including safeguarding and CYP service pathways.
- Willingness to travel across Wales/UK (including overnight stays) and take most annual leave during school holidays.
Key details
Hours: full-time (35 hours per week): usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 with occasional later finishes.
Salary: £46,789 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.
Location: hybrid working (a mixture of onsite/home working with substantial onsite work schools in Wales). Occasional attendance at our London office will be required: 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.

Main Responsibilities:
- To maximise onsite donations by driving supporters and stakeholders to the Hub to build a real sense of community spirit and a hive of fundraising activity.
- Collaborate across the charity with our Grants, Marketing and Communications team to co-ordinate charityactivity and implement a hospital engagement and communication plan.

- Working with UHS staff groups, identifying fundraising champions within the hospital and increase the amount of footfall to the Charity’s hospital hub.

This is an exciting opportunity to establish RLSS UK’s first-ever corporate fundraising function. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will build, lead, and deliver a new programme that maximises income from corporate supporters and aligns partners with our mission to save lives. You will be responsible for developing the strategy, creating the tools and foundations, proactively generating new business, and delivering excellent stewardship as partnerships are secured.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of RLSS UK’s new corporate fundraising function, create a sustainable strategy, and build a strong pipeline from the ground up.
You will identify, secure, and grow high-value partnerships that align with corporate priorities, producing compelling and commercially compelling propositions that demonstrate clear mutual benefit. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will ensure partnerships support RLSS UK’s mission and contribute to long term income growth.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Planning
- Develop and deliver RLSS UK’s first corporate partnerships strategy, setting clear priorities and income targets for year one and beyond.
- Lead the development of a corporate partnerships income stream, building a sustainable portfolio of partnerships and relationships.
- Create the foundations for growth including a case for support, stewardship framework, pitch decks and templates and KPI and reporting tools.
- Establish systems and internal processes required for a corporate fundraising function.
- Use sector insights, benchmarking, and data to inform strategy and identify opportunities for growth.
Partnership Development
- Build and actively manage a new business pipeline from scratch, ensuring consistent prospecting and follow up.
- Conduct in-depth prospect research to identify target companies, align commercial priorities, and map key decision makers.
- Develop compelling, tailored proposals, pitches, and partnership packages that clearly articulate impact and mutual value.
- Secure a diverse portfolio of partnerships including multi-year strategic, six-figure, Charity of the Year, cause-related marketing, and sponsorship agreements.

Reporting and Evaluation

- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, UK GDPR, and RLSS UK policies.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting information within the CRM system.
- Deliver annual reviews for partnerships to demonstrate impact and ensure all partnerships are meeting agreed KPIS.

In this new role, you will develop and optimise multichannel fundraising campaigns across digital platforms while embedding a culture of test, learn and continuous optimisation. - Proven knowledge and use of digital marketing tools, including email marketing and automation platforms (DotDigital would be advantageous).

In April 2025, the charity adopted a four-day working week policy. Staff previously working 37.5 hours now work 30 hours across four days, maintaining full pay while supporting a better work-life balance.

With experience of securing 4–5 figure gifts and a flair for building meaningful relationships, you’ll be a confident communicator with strong writing skills, and you’ll enjoy using insight to create personal donor journeys that inspire generosity.
